With the altcoin season right around the corner, gas fees are going to explode and DEXes like Uniswap are going to be just a whale only exclusive club. There are a couple of L2 exchanges out there, most important of them is Honeyswap.
Have you guys ever used Honeyswap or any L2 DEX? What are your thoughts on it? I personally fell in love with the idea of using an Uniswap clone without paying gas fees.

It's complicated. There are a lot of solutions popping up on L2 or on different chains but the main issues are liquidity and token bridges. If you look at TomoDEX for example, for the last four months they have only onboarded DeFi projects. They will never be able to compete with Uniswap like that. The same goes for Loopring L2. Any project can list on Uniswap and that brings in billions of dollars in liquidity. As long as there are gatekeepers in our ecosystem, like the TRON bridge, TOMOchain, Binance smart chain ecosystem, that do not allow all projects to trade, they will never surpass Uniswap, even if it never scales using optimism.
