It is clear that  Ripple isn't trying to compete with Bitcoin but we still want to see both this two different digital coin to become successful in crypto space. Ripple is different than bitcoin. it was working to provide a payment channel system to replace the traditional financial system that is still being used by the bank. Ripple has no intention to compete with bitcoin but the problem is this company is truly centralized and ripple payment system is not getting a lot of demand from the market.
Some accusations from ripple investors have been making ripple looks a shady security coin. The ripple company was also the most active company that was dumping its premined coin to the market.

There are lot of advantages of XRP compare than Bitcoin or Bitcoin to XRP. I am not fan of Ripple at all but I am using Ripple sometimes to transfer my funds to different exchanges to save transaction fees.
Look at what the CEO said, he don't hate Bitcoin. Let's say Ripple way still the way Bitcoin stays, then there will be no problem at all.

XRP serves a different purpose than BTC, mainly as an e-cash or payment network. BTC is more suitable as sound money, privacy concern, decentralization. Price-wise, XRP just can't rise at the BTC level. In other words, XRP might be used more than BTC but its value won't necessarily as high as BTC.

Ripple is the banking support platform so it was totally against in the Bitcoin environment. It is occupy the more market cap in short term, so xrp is occupy the  huge consumer in gradually. But Bitcoin is a solo king of Crypto market and it is occupy the 30% of market cap in Crypto platform. It is easy to  handle for most of the countries because it occupy the huge whales in every countries,  so we never compare the Bitcoin and Ethereum. I hope no one replace the Bitcoin.

In a way, Ripple has just put his own features instead of copying everything about Bitcoin. Bitcoin has become the inspiration of what Ripple has become. Initially, it's not really made to be competed just because of the centralization. I can't seem to forget that one of the founders of Ripple is dumping his own stash at market price. I don't think they could continue to rise in price if that continues.

Yes, eventually XRP could surpass Bitcoin if it is actually used at scale for international money transfers. I personally hold 80% XRP ad 20% 0xMR

It is clear as day that XRP is most definitely not even a competition for bitcoin. XRP is working hard to become a payment processor or method where bitcoin mainly want to become a currency that is used worldwide.
Even the fact that Ripple keep making cooperation with some banks or large institution already speak itself. I think people that think XRP and Bitcoin is competing kind of dense people.

By this statement I think there should be no argument whether Ripple gonna replace bitcoin because that's not gonna happen even in the future.

Lets be realistic here. We all knew that bitcoin is the king of all blockchain. Comparing a giant to an ant isnt really a match here. However, I am confidently can say that Ive used xrp more often than bitcoin when Im having a peer to peer transaction or having an external transaction from an exchange outside a supported wallet.

Luckily there is an xrp option for our countrys best wallet we are using. The fee is important so I tend to use xrp than bitcoin. No offense, I love bitcoin but action tells me that xrp is really useful on our daily trading needs.

People will choose bitcoin than ripple because the price of bitcoin is at a high price. But people also invest their money in ripple because they want to make additional money. But I don't think that ripple will replace bitcoin's position as the crypto market leader because ripple needs to compete with the other coins before ripple can compete with bitcoin. But ripple can have the opportunity to lift the market position if ripple can get more supports, and ripple needs more time to increase again. If ripple can increase again, I think the position in the market will be change.

The biggest problem with ripple is its Total supply which is huge and being centralized. Ripple cannot compete with Bitcoin because of these two primary reason. That being said Ripple is great if you want to transfer funds it is not only faster than Bitcoin but it is actually very cheap when we think about fees.

I do not fancy Ripple  as a commodity but I would recommend it to anyone who wants a cheap and fast way to transfer funds.

I suggest you remember one important cryptocurrency axiom: Nothing can replace Bitcoin.
If you need fast and inexpensive transactions, you can use TRON, UOS, Ripple, Doge and other coins.
After a hard fork in 2028, the influence of miners on the price will greatly weaken and bitcoin will become a new global financial reserve.

Agreed on the statement. When the mining of bitcoin reaches the maximum supply automatically the miners influence over the bitcoin will gradually reduce. By that time the transaction fee will be the earning for the miners. Based on this there hands will be over bitcoin, because they're the one to decide the transaction fee. Even now governments have started considering bitcoin as reserve. After deep analysis about the future only these decisions would've been taken.

I'd like to start by saying that normally users will compare ripple and any other fairly good altcoin to ethereum, but till this time eth is still much better than them all. Bitcoin is used as a hedge against fiat inflation, it's the crypto that companies want to invest in and make their reserve asset; Bitcoin stood steady this year, even after the pandemic and all and now is moving up to cross the ath, Bitcoin is much better and 'bigger' (even on a global scale) than Ripple, it's much more widely used and appreciated than any other crypto, for most people when they hear cryptocurrecy, only Bitcoin comes to their mind, having said that, Ripple has it's own pros, and it's good for the altcoin network for a few reasons, but Bitcoin is irreplaceable.

Bitcoin is much better than ripple earlier in the year the price of bitcoin dropped due to the corona virus but now the price is higher than before the demand for ripple currency is very low so it could not rise in the crypto market. Ripple wasn't created to replace bitcoin and has never been. Moreover, it's offering a different value proposition which is very different from that of Bitcoin.

From the excerpts above, it's clear that Ripple is mainly used for payments and settlements by financial institutions. If I remember correctly, in 2017 Ripple tried to take the top spot from Bitcoin with only $1 - $2 Billions left to equal bitcoin's marketcap but then everything fell apart and it hasn't been able to recover since then.

Even Vitalik Buterin the co-founder of ethereum network is also supporting bitcoin which is offcourse in larger terms of the success of the blockchain technology. I think this is the spirit and support required for crypto to achieve adoption.

Another broken-record statement. Trust me, no coin will ever replace Bitcoin, it's the Alpha. Bitcoin will always be the first reference when anyone talks about Crypto. Even when this DeFis come, and some DeFi coin price is higher than Bitcoin. Any business/people that want to start joining crypto world will choose bitcoin first. I think Ethereum is the closest to equal to Bitcoin, but then again it has different functionality, people will still prefer Bitcoin for payment purposes.

Replace for a payment method? Maybe yes. Ripple is a centralized coin and has a stable price, it is a very good method of payment.
