Ripple, of course, is a very top cryptocurrency and Ripple technologies and capabilities are very successful, but Ripple will not be able to overtake Bitcoin, so we shouldn't even think about it, because big players are already accustomed to receiving the most profit from Bitcoin and I am sure that in the future Bitcoin will still be at first place.

Replace in what sense? His position on Coinmarketcap? I do not think so ! Replace for a payment method? Maybe yes. Ripple is a centralized coin and has a stable price, it is a very good method of payment.
it is very clear that XRP will not be able to replace Bitcoin in any case, if you look at Paypal, only XRP is not supported by their platform. Litecoin and Ethereum they trust and listed on paypal, and whereas XRP why don't they listed it to paypal? really makes me curious

Xrp and btc have different purpose and objectives. As bitcoin promotes the usage and incorporating the blockchain system, ripple focused on bank/ global financial system payments.
While xrp transactions are more favorable because it just takes seconds for sending transactions but when it comes to the investor's choice between the two, bitcoin is superior and priority.

The Ripple blockchain performs much better than Bitcoin. It makes transactions faster, deals cheaper, and transactions are more scalable. Not only this, but the Ripple consensus mechanism is much better for the environment - it doesn't waste huge amounts of energy. Ripple's purpose is different from Bitcoin, so I personally never think of Ripple as "the next Bitcoin.” Because, in my opinion bitcoin is still the number one cryptocurrency in the world, and I believe that bitcoin is more suitable as a store of value than a payment system, however, the most important thing is that Bitcoin price movements are fluid in the market

There has been a lot of debate about Bitcoin and Ripple. Some investors even consider XRP tokens to be more valuable than Bitcoin. XRP aims to increase the efficiency of the banking industry, while Bitcoin, if it is massively adopted, can undermine the bank's monopoly on the people's economy and until now there is no single fact that can corroborate if XRP is better than bitcoin and can be a substitute for bitcoin in the future because I think both Crypto has different goals be it Bitcoin or XRP but even so XRP has a strong dependence on bitcoin price movements right now.

There is a big difference between xrp and bitcoin because xrp is becoming popular in other countries because xrp has partnerships with banks and it helps a lot because it facilitates the transfer of funds to other accounts even bitcoin gradually known by other people because it can be used to pay bills and buy items in malls and so on.

Lol Saying Ripple will replace Bitcoin is like saying "dogs will lay eggs" which is impossible. I wonder why people make such unrealistic comparisons and postualtions, I'm not a holder of XRP and not exactly against it since I'm impressed with the development so far with Ripple, however saying it will replace BTC is hyperbole. Ripple is cool when it comes to speed of transaction and negligible fees, but BTC is the pace setter. Both are unique in their own ways anyway, Ripple being good for cross border payments, and BTC now seen as store of value in crypto. BTC is king, the difference is clear with respect to market cap.

Honestly, I don't know where this comparison of XRP with Bitcoin comes from. Are those comparing them looking at Market cap? Price? Demand? Outreach? Total Supply or what? I would feel a bit comfortable were the comparison on Bitcoin with Ethereum. Ripple is no match for Bitcoin. I hate to invest in tokens/coins with total supply that runs into billions. Ripple's supply is in such. Again, while Ripple is centralized tech, Bitcoin is decentralized and the king of the blockchain tech. Replace in what sense? His position on Coinmarketcap? I do not think so !
Exactly my bewilderment too!

I read some post here in the forum that Ripple will replace bitcoin...is it true? Let's find out.... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5271101.0It is clear that Ripple isn't trying to compete with Bitcoin but we still want to see both this two different digital coin to become successful in crypto space. Let's support both of them and enjoy the benefits they bring to us. Bitcoin now is still striving to reach the past ATH and Ripple also increasing it's value from the past few days. This is not the first time I read this comparison between Ripple and Bitcoin. We all know that Bitcoin was belong to decentralized while Ripple is not, in terms of long terms I would rather go of course into Bitcoin, but in terms of low fee Ripple is good for that, because every time I made a transaction in conversion of my profit here in crypto I used XRP for this I won't deny that but it doesn't mean I agreed that Ripple can replace Bitcoin in the future, that's a big NO! of course for me.

Another broken-record statement. Trust me, no coin will ever replace Bitcoin, it's the Alpha. Bitcoin will always be the first reference when anyone talks about Crypto. Even when this DeFis come, and some DeFi coin price is higher than Bitcoin. Any business/people that want to start joining crypto world will choose bitcoin first. I think Ethereum is the closest to equal to Bitcoin, but then again it has different functionality, people will still prefer Bitcoin for payment purposes.
Bitcoin won't be replaced by any coin.People may predict the coin which had a good reputation will be next bitcoin. It's only by the good potential of that coin will be compared to bitcoin and it won't replace bitcoin .Ethereum may have a chance do so. But it replacing itself every time. Now Eth 2.0 was launched.

There is no way Ripple will replace Bitcoin, because the purpose for which Ripple and Bitcoin were created are also different. Don't even think about replacing Bitcoin, being able to replace Ethereum is also impossible for Ripple. Even though Ripple cannot replace Bitcoin, it doesn't mean that Ripple is bad and useless. Even when it comes to fees and transaction speeds, Ripple is still better than Bitcoin. That's why I prefer to use Ripple to transfer my funds, because Ripple's transaction fees are cheap.

I have already said that Ripple will not possibly be able to compete with or replace the next bitcoin. obviously Ripple and bitcoin have differences from each other. but I agree with your last point about enjoying these two coins in the market. what is profitable then we use.

This is not to say that the comparison of xrp with bitcoin can never be won, no matter how good the power of xrp is, it will never come with bitcoin, bitcoin is the head of the cryptomarket so comparing it with xrp is nothing but nonsense. No, thanks everyone for sharing your opinion. However, bitcoin is always 100 alone.

Each of these coins have their own advantages and unique features, it is true that Ripple is centralized thus making a lot of people to have some reserved thoughts about it, but however the coin have been doing well for a long time, having partnerships and all that, hence I can say Ripple will continue to survive. On the aspect of if it will replace Bitcoin, that's not gonna happen because Ripple doesn't have what it takes to achieve such feat or possiblity either now or in the long run. Looking at Bitcoin price, it is reaching towards its ATH but same cannot be said of other coins thus showing that, the attention has always been on Bitcoin first, before others. Lastly, the CEO is right, Ripple can't and won't compete with Bitcoin as it will only be a futile attempt.

Do you really think 🤔 Ripple can be a good competitor of Bitcoin? We got so much hype from Tron blockchain but still Ethereum is the King.

No ripple cannot replace bitcoin as it's centralized and designed for banks, wherein bitcoin is decentralized and this topic has been discussed numerous times in this forum, Yes Ripple is quick and transaction fees are low compared to Bitcoin but it doesn't belong to the league of Bitcoin so there is no comparison between XRP and BTC.

Even if Ripple will try to have that aim, they have no match for bitcoin. And for those people that keeps on thinking that Ripple can replace bitcoin and become better, just take the words of your CEO. Ripple shouldn't be compared to bitcoin. Even a hater or holder, there is no need for bitcoin to be compared with this coin and even with any other coins.

Ripple is centralized and has no capacity to replace Bitcoin, maybe in the future the real use cases of the XRP network will be demanded more than BTC. The top altcoins have the potential to replace each other except Bitcoin. The total marketcap of Bitcoin as the digital gold can not be replaced for the next 100 years, IMHO. The Ripple CEO has announced the long way for reaching the desired level by the Ripple team but I don't predict the XRP price will hit more than $5 for the next 5 years due to the huge market supply.

That's why the Ripple CEO admitted that there's no way they are competing with bitcoin. But in the payment sector, I like XRP as they have relatively cheap fees with faster transaction. If they can focus their collaboration with more institutions/shops/merchants, XRP will make a good alternative payment option.
