There are still many millionaires that feels unsafe investing their money on crypto and I believe that's what SoftBank CEO is feeling right now, he said digital currency will be useful but he don't know which digital currency, he lacks how bitcoin works, he knew less about bitcoin halving and it's decentralized utility, the man needs to do his own deep research

Understanding bitcoin isn't a rocket science thing, and it should be very easy for CEOs. Bitcoin is just one of the cryptocurrency exists so we can't really say that we need bitcoin for cryptos to exist in the future but likely bitcoin is going to exist longer than other useless shit currencies.

I believe that crypto make it this far thanks to bitcoin, the toughest wars in the past was fought by bitcoin, it's really not hard to understand how bitcoin works, I've seen millionaires like this that got confused but later change their point of view, warren buffett himself ridiculed crypto and bitcoin many times but not anymore today, this man (SoftBank CEO) will come around too

SoftBank CEO statement holds the truth. Not all of people used to Internet. and Bitcoin, crypto or blockchain is indeed hard to understand for people that are not really into tech or touch the internet. Heck, even most of people still misunderstood crypto and bitcoin while thinking that these two word have the same meaning.

Also some old people still think that everything in the internet dont really exist whatsoever and thus useless or worthless so there's that.

I think if we expect crypto to widely adopted by the masses the meaing of cryptocurrency should be further simplified so that people could grasp what it is and what's the difference between crypto and bitcoin.

I assume he was referring to the value of bitcoin. It's very hard for a banker to grasp. According to all the laws of their profession, bitcoin shouldn't have any value, which of course isn't true, so they're scratching their heads as they see the gains that investors have from cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin is a type of cryptocurrency. Other cryptocurrencies will exist with or without BTC, Blockchain is what important for cryptocurrency. Without it, There will be no cryptocurrency at all. If you can drop the link of the article for the source of your thread, We can easily discuss what you are really talking about. I'm sure that the CEO in to some characteristics of BTC like price volatility and not BTC in general.

Crypto can survive without bitcoin, I believe that's what the CEO is referring to but he still lacks the real existence of Bitcoin that's why he is confused, the reason why Avalanche project caught my attention was because of the team existence before bitcoin was released by Nakamoto, there are few projects before bitcoin too, it means that Avalanche team have high level experience about blockchain

The main reason is every banker/finance professional hear bitcoin the very first time, not blockchain. So, they will try to define/understand cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin. The price of Bitcoin is something people are falling a trap into. Now when they come in contact with Bitcoin? During bull market. And, they loose their money and blame entire crypto space (blockchain indirectly) being a bubble. Now even if you try to explain blockchain from the beginning, they won't understand at all. Why is that to? They have stopped exploring creative/new because of being in finance space where they literally don't do anything new in routine.

This was my personal experience as 2-3 of my friends and a brother is a banker and when I try to explain blockchain - they don't take advantages from what I explain. They find cons right away and demolish the idea of blockchain every single time. In fact, they advice me to stay away from any kind of cryptocurrency, being professional bankers. I literally laugh inside when they tell me that you won't understand such bubbles - our entire lives evolve around finance and we kind of know everything having faced 2008 crisis.

I wouldn't worry so much about these people. There will always be critics who just don't understand the crypto world. For me and most other people if we speak about cryptos we have a lot of other coins in mind. But people who have no understanding the will say crypto world = bitcoins. We don't need these negative people, Bitcoin is close to 19.000 USD. That should convince everybody otherwise.

Cryptocurrency is a digital currency that involves Bitcoin and Altcoin, but the Cryptocurrency market is more dominated by Bitcoin, so I agree with you without Bitcoin then Cryptocurrency is nothing, therefore if people want to invest in Cryptocurrency then they must believe in Bitcoin too, because in my opinion for now Bitcoin is the king of Cryptocurrency, so if Bitcoin dies then I'm sure all Altcoin will also die (can't survive).

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and a cryptocurrency is not only Bitcoin, it is also Ethereum, Litecoin, and other crypto coins. The statement from the CEO of Softbank is really confusing, I hope he understands Bitcoin soon.

Maybe there are few newbies who find it hard to understand bitcoin initially but they soon learn about it as it is not difficult at all. However, other this forum, there are many people whom i met daily who never understand bitcoin even if i try to explain them.

Those who are still not understand bitcoin are the people who do not like bitcoin. They do no want bitcoin to rule and replace fiat, but in the end they will accept as the world is ready for the big change and biycoin ia the answer.

They think differently, as one of the largest VC conglomerates in the world, they have a lot to consider. because they usually invest in goods or assets with a value that is supported by a high use value, therefore they find it difficult to understand

wealth does not guarantee that someone understands everything, in this case, Buffett and Soft bank CEO have the same problem about fully understanding what Bitcoin is. just wait until he understands and understands what Bitcoin is, maybe he will change his mind.
