Cryptocurrencies can also be called digital currencies and they include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and so on, that is to say, Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. However, in the crypto space, Bitcoin being the first cryptocurrency is called a coin (I.e stands on its own), while other cryptocurrencies from Ethereum downwards are regarded as Altcoins or Alternative coins. Therefore, saying crypto will be useful also encompasses Bitcoin, also it is wise to understand that, this usefulness in question doesn't include all cryptocurrencies rather only those with good use case.
In addition, in my own opinion, Bitcoin is very valuable, and something can not be valuable if it is not useful. Also, Bitcoin is actually the easiest to understand; peer-to-peer transactions started with it, decentralization started with it , in fact it laid down the path through which many platforms and/or coins are following now.

Few people are interested in this, no one needs philosophy. Everyone thinks about profit, this is the main reason why people are here.

Some just want an easy money and once they didn't get it in crypto or bitcoin, they just left as if it's not really worthy. I'd been mentioning bitcoin to many friends but none yet were really taking it seriously. They didn't buy or hold or give a care since they just want something which they can already see and use. Lucky us here in forum we were able to take advantage of these time bitcoin and other crypto are good to invest and have with.

If you have trouble understanding Bitcoin you will also have trouble with any other cryptocurrencies.

They don't understand it because they are lazy to know it. If there's a will, there's a way, right? Or they have too much on their plate that they don't have the time to understand it meticulously.

Well to be honest to all members here in the forum, Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency is only belong to those people who are capable to use internet, no matter how the individual here has an interest to know about in Bitcoin without internet it will be useless and no chances for them to understand what Bitcoin and crypto all about. Second, if ever they have an internet and they are capable in, if they don't have passion, determination, and dedication it will still be useless, that's what I learned and understand about them both(Bitcoin and Crypto).

We obviously do not feel like it is hard to understand bitcoin, if you haven't read bitcoin whitepaper you might find it difficult to understand but if you are here on bitcointalk you either already read the whitepaper, or even if you haven't you have at least spent enough time to see what it is. So, we are talking about something that is not going to suddenly make us feel like we don't know what we are doing.

However it is going to take a while for others to catch up, not everyone understands bitcoin the way we do and because they do not understand it, sometimes they say stuff that makes no sense at all. Obviously saying something like "crypto will be useful but bitcoin is hard to understand" has no idea what they are talking about at all.

It isn't hard to understand. Did the Softbank CEO said that it's hard to understand? As you have said Softbank, they've just put their assets into cash. It is possible that this cash will flow into crypto or they'll invest it in bitcoin? no one knows.

This era is Internet depended so it's not that hard to research what bitcoin really is, it's just many mighy already sees it thru ads but did not want to put any attention as some sees it as scam or not into investment risk at all. Only those who can handle loss and risk of loss or failed in trading will eventually have a good profit in crypto or bitcoin.

Softbank is not a proplayer in investing into the right instrument. This guy didn't know what has been doing by another companies who have been investing in bitcoin like square.

when he say crypto is useful he was also saying that bitcoin is useful because crypto and btc are one . btc is easier because it was first . using altcoins needs extra knowledge but both btc and alts are understandable in the long run of learning  .

crypto without bitcoin is still a crypto but other crypto gets all the idea in btc. i dont find it offensive but im glad that there is another bank that are also talks about btc . banks are now joining the force of cryptocurrencies

I think the main reason why some people are still in a hard time to understand Bitcoin because they still believe the old accusation about Bitcoin, that it has not back by something to inherent value, thats why until now many people are still avoiding Bitcoin as a form of investment because they are afraid that it will lose its value over time. things like that are very common in the crypto space.
