Being involved in the non-fungible tokens (NFT) world for about one year, I couldn't notice the increase in popularity this platforms are registering in the last months. One of this platforms is Sorare - a Global Fantasy Football game developed on the Ethereum blockchain, supported by the gaming giant Ubisoft, where you can trade officially licensed player cards or use them in tournaments with over 20 ETH in rewards each week. Each card is a digital collectible that represents a football player and is tied to a specific football season. Thanks to blockchain technology fans can collect their favourite players with the benefits of provable scarcity (fixed supply). On top of that, Sorare Cards are freely tradeable and usable in an open world of different applications and games. Each collectible enjoys many of the attributes of other blockchain-assets: it cannot be copied or taken away from you. Users also enjoy access to the complete digital history of the card. This concept seems to be attracting more and more people weekly, even non-crypto users. I've put together some tutorials and guides for those who are interested, you can find them on my website:
www.sorarethegame.comOver 100 football clubs around the world are licensed on Sorare including big european clubs like Juventus, Atletico Madrid, PSG and recently added Bayern Munich. A very dedicated and hard-working team behind this project who's plan is to attract million of football fans around the world on their platform. They sold over $3M worth of NFTs since their launch with the last months registering record amounts.
