Since Paypal have joined the crypto currency band wagon, scammers was very quick to take advantage and created a website for a supposedly Paypal giveaway.

This is obvious fake and malicious and who's intention is to trap crypto enthusiast and play with their emotions and greed. So please do not fall for this scheme.

Website:
Code:
http://paypalbtc.org/

Archived: https://archive.is/uuqT1

Bitcoin address:
Code:
1PAYPRAKcnQyqnLMA7WyLTyzWakXVidx6W

The address has somewhat a balance of 0.00037650 BTC already.

The appearance of the site remains the same, there is no change at all with the previous fake giveaway, but they only change the name to Paypal to attract other people, oh shit, this scamer is not at all desperate, hoping that many are aware of this kind of scheme.

Remember now that there isn't any double giveaway that provides its clear this is their trick to keep cheating in the same way. It's so stupid they keep doing this.

Good catch OP.

This scamming scheme never stops, they are more and more aggressive and making other techniques just to get money from people who are not aware of what they are doing, my suggestion is always verified if its legit no matter if you take time on doing it, to make sure it's safe, no matter iof its legit or not the most important thing is that you don't fall from scam, if you just jump on it for sure if its a scam, you will lose a lot.

If the host and the domain registrar have strict terms of service, they will not let the domain registered and the host hosted it, it's obviously meant to scam people, this is an old scamming giveaway scheme employed on popular hacked  Twitter and Youtube account.

The transactions are meant to deceive visitors to think that many people are sending funds to the address they've given, I assume that a newbie created this website because it's badly created, I'm sure old comers are very much familiar with this, but it's good that is reported here, in case someone made research.

It's time to remember that any project that uses a popular company in its name is almost always a scam and I don't know who now manages to transfer money to them

This fake giveaway same as the bitcoin doubler that has sprung up in previous years, oddities that exist very much explained that this was made to deceive, the popularity of PayPal and the rising price of BTC used by scammers to deceive, not new but can make a newbie get trapped with this scam.

This uses exactly the same hook as this other case, involving a Youtube video live stream with Chamath Palihapitiya (Virgin Galactic Chairman):

https://news.bitcoin.com/btc-giveaway-scam-chamath-palihapitiya-elon-musk-not-giving-away-bitcoin/

Same total amount, same limits, same bonus case. Actually, if you google parts of the captive text, you’ll see tons of entries over the past. But not only does this lead to your BTC being stolen (well, not literally stolen, since once hands them over himself), but it can also allegedly lead at times to malware being installed on your device: https://malware-guide.com/blog/how-to-remove-btc-giveaway-scam-pup

And most likely the Kanye West Not just another Fake BTC giveaway. Specially having a vanity address to boot and makes it more credible.

However, with this fake Paypal giveaway, the bitcoin address
Code:
1PAYPRAKcnQyqnLMA7WyLTyzWakXVidx6W
you have to give it to these criminals, they could have used 1Paypal, maybe it's not available, but as you can see they have the imagination, to used PAY + PRA(n)K vanity address, Lol.

As we knew that Paypal is already accepting Bitcoin in its platform, obviously, scams regarding that will really exist.

Expect that there will be a lot of scams that will exist in many platforms, especially in those social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and etc.

Fake Paypal Giveaways are an obvious scheme because you can check it on their pages or notice if there is truly a giveaways. You just need to be mindful about that and don't rely too much on those easy money that they are trying to spread online because fooling people is really easy for them as they use a popular company's name to scam ignorant investors.

Here's a new one, I think this came from a different breed of scammers. But still the same effect, malicious attack, just wanting to steal people's hard earn money in the name of Paypal.

Here's a new one.....

Website:
Code:
https://paypal-btc.com/

This is just like a traditional hype scam website, which offers 2x ROI and gets newbies, who think that is possible and they can actually get double for the money spent, to fall for it and such scams usually earn a handsome chunk of Bitcoins with this.

Such websites show fake incoming and outgoing transactions on their websites:

But the address that is mentioned for the funds to be sent to doesn't have any of the transactions shown in the website in it:

When newbies see the transactions flowing in the website, they think that the website is actually paying, and they fall for the trap.

These fraudsters doesn't have a limit when it comes to their scam strategy, now that they heard about PayPal entering into the crypto industry, they made their own version of fake give away to attract people to their scam. thankfully, we have people like OP who wants to share such fraud to prevent the member of this community to fall to such so-called giveaway.

Obviously, the domain name is incorrect if someone takes notice it is org whereas Paypal has com. This was in the making after Paypal started selling cryptocurrency on their platform. I am sure there will be many who will fall for this trap. It is better to report this website to google so that it does not come up on the search.

This method remains the same, but all efforts will still be made by scammers to get victims, and I believe this is controlled by a large community where scammers are able to spread their fake sites widely, especially now when bitcoin is being pumped by many frauds will continue to happen. So still have to be on the lookout for newbies.
But still the members of this forum should be able to catch more so that the scamer list and all can see it.

Greedy humans will be attracted and when cut-up in the scammers web they will blame it upon Bitcoin as a ponzi scheme, there are obvious evidence that these giveaways are fraudulent in nature and shouldn't be taking serious, but human wants are. Basically if these websites are been reported then there will be a crack down on their end by the appropriate authorities.

More and more phishing websites are created by scammers. this will be very detrimental to people when trapped in it and send BTC at that address.
Scammers have lots of new methods of scamming and taking money from people who don't know what to do.
Threads like this will be very useful in order to avoid the trap of phishing websites like this. There are no prizes given by paypal. Always check the domain and if it is a different font model or if there are some additional letters it is a phishing website.
