Hi there!

Is wbfex.com / wbf.info exchange a scam?
I deposited some tokens there to sell but when I try to trade them but every time I try it says "The current price is lower 1000% than the last price"
and I cannot create sell order and people just keep buying/selling like there's no tommorow that token
(The buy/sell book is almost empty but the recent transactions tab is filling like every 3 seconds)
IDK what to do, their exchange doesn't seem a scam since on coinmarketcap they have like $2B volume

I NEVER got scammed before
please help Sad

You can lie about your volume to coin market cap, they just use an api call afaik. But I'm still not sure of the sore is legit or not either way as a lot of exchanges lie.

I'd suggest trying to withdraw your tokens and just see how that goes to check if they're scam or not. Their order book could just be empty and its normally a good thing to check before you deposit.

Well that turned dramatic...  But is recommend you just try and make it back some other way, or if you didn't need it, just ignore it and take it as a fee for the lesson to do a little more research in future to see if a site is  a scam...

Much higher does not mean that the exchange has good volume. Everything is usually controlled by a bot and you will be stuck there. The fee requested will also be more expensive. Don't choose an exchange that is not clear, if there are still better but better exchange options even though the price is cheaper. Submitting your ID to an exchange that is not recommended and there are many problems is a mistake. Don't hand over your ID very easily. You have to do your research first before doing it.

You need to move on and learn from this mistake, next time do proper research before you will transfer your token there. Exactly, don't make too much drama, instead, pull your token back if you cant, then it's wasting of time. I don't know why there are some people who are contented to use the exchange site as long as they see that there's a high volume.

There's nothing you can do is accept the fact and next time choose the right exchange or much better a decentralized exchange for your token. Or wait to be list in a decent exchange.

You are not scammed if you can withdraw your tokens. That exchange have fake volume. So I suggest you to take your coins out and move to some other exchange.

I suggest next time to use the well-known exchange, for trading don't think of the fee's where in your token or coin is much safer, you go with poloniex or binance, and other top exchanges like what other suggestions if you can withdraw its not a scam, sometimes they have fake volumes at the end you just waste some dollars for sending and transferring , so choose your exchange wisely a few dollars will save you.

Why must you use an unknown exchange in the first place? We keep warning newbies like you to do research and always use popular exchanges because of something like this, any project or exchange can get listed on coinmarketcap just for ranking, it doesn't mean that the project can be trusted, coinmarketcap job is to feed people about new and old tokens/coins data and information including exchanges too

A much higher price than anywhere else ALWAYS means there's something wrong with that exchange. Either you can't get money in or out so the price lives in its own little world, or they're creating a fake price to lure you in.

If there was a way of exploiting that price difference it would vapourise in a matter of minutes. No one leaves free money on the able and there are untold numbers of bots scouring exchanges every second looking for opportunities like this.

Sorry mate now you have been scammed, the volume on coinmarketcap is fake and let this be a lesson to you, coinmarketcap isn't a place for legit crypto project source, it only give information on available coins and tokens, listed on coinmarketcap don't mean project is real, scam projects get listing on coinmarketcap too

I'm not familiar with this exchange so I tried to open wbf.info but my browser returned a warning page telling that the website's certificate expired 9 days ago and they didn't renew it. This is another serious red flag for me. It just shows how unprofessional they are.

Not sure if this is just another scam exchange, but what I know is that you shouldn't rely on CMC ranking or the trading volumes it shows as it can be easily faked by reporting falsified data.

I can’t assert that the site is definitively a scam, but it has got a few copycats, with a different layout, but similar wording sin some of the sections.

For example, the following also include a description of their Products and Services as "Secure, trusted digital asset trading and asset management services to millions of users worldwide", and then go on to talking about "Globalization layout", "Security system", "Trading system" and "High scability":

Code:
https[colon]//www[dot]hxex[dot]com/en_US/
https[colon]//www[dot]lalatrade[dot]net/en_US/
https[colon]//www[dot]bitbex[dot]net/en_US/
https[colon]//www[dot]bitfox[dot]in/#/
https[colon]//gdex[dot]world/home

Now whether they are all scam sites that apply different facelifts, or whether one of them is original and legit (and the others just prey on that one) I cannot tell right now, but I would give them all a pass.

This exchange is one of those exchanges that are intentionally build to trap depositors fund, once your asset lands on such platforms it's never coming out again, it's a scam exchange, you mentioned using coinmarketcap? Well for your information coinmarketcap don't put aside scam projects, they allow any project to get listed on their website

Hi mate, i have had experience with WBF before, although my experience with them has nothing to do with trading volume or order book size but i will tell you my story. It was over a year ago, i signed up to catch up with the buttom of some newly listed altcoin. without much research i went ahead and deposited some btc and i subsequently bag this said shitcoin. it was when i wanted to withdraw this coins into my personal wallet that i was prompted to submit documents for verification. i submitted different quality of documents for so many times (over over a period of one month) but it keeps getting rejected by wbf, and their support team both from the web and telegram are not any helpful.

I eventually got tired of submitting these documents and i decided to forget it and just count my lost. It was about 8 months later that i decided to check the exchange and when i was able to successfully login and i found that my shitcoins are intact, I went ahead and submitted my documents again for verification and this time around Boom it got verified and immediately i was able to withdraw my asset. I hope my story help you in a away!

Stop using low exchanges that aren't popular, get more friendly with top exchanges because they are more reliable, this is an old trick from scammers luring people like yourself to make deposits on the exchange and you won't be able to sell or withdraw your funds anymore, make sure the exchange you choose is well known
