Today IEO is a better choice than ICO as we all know it but one thing that IEO can't do right it mercy on small projects, we all know that the backbone of IEO success is top exchanges but what about small projects that can't afford top exchanges? They deserve a place in this space too, I do wish there will come a new crowdfunding solution that any small projects can afford easily, what do you think?

Small projects are usually low in volume and demand. They also usually have low starting fund which is why most of exchanges outright deny them since it's unsustainable for the exchange to maintain the coin listing. I think one of the best solution for small project is just to use uniswap but only limited to erc20 token. It's always like that anywhere though small business gets crushed easily or they gonna need to start from the bottom.

Hmm, my advice on this will go to all developers, small projects hardly attracts investors, how about telling developers to abstain building small projects and focus more on bringing up something big and better, I know it's hard for new projects to target top exchanges but we have uniswap too right? If your project is very good enough the word small will change to big.

Small or big projects do not matter at all for me. Even you are a small project but you got the quality of the project, you got the solution to the problem.
I got your point with small projects, but what makes you a small project? Small project with small funds or the community or their roadmap or goals?
There are a lot of alternatives besides IEO too. Or some alternatives to get to top exchanges even you are a small project with small amount of funds.

There is no such thing as small project to me, if a new project is trying to solve a problem in crypto space that ain't small to me, I only avoid any project that have no reasonable use case, if fund is the problem well top exchanges aren't the only way to raise money for your project, developers should work on better use case instead of focusing on how to raise money

It all starts at the bottom. Some projects that are on the top exchange are not directly on the top exchange. Some of them started small projects. It does take time. But if the project team takes their job seriously and wisely, they will be in the top exchange.

Small projects don't need to pay large sum of money to list for IEO on top exchanges, the team can use Uniswap, this DEX is the best right now and it has good reviews so far, it costs nothing to list a token on Uniswap, if the so called small project ( which I don't believe in ) have a very good utility investors will have interest, slowly but surely the project will have better volumes and eventually get listed on other exchanges

A small project can try to attract VC to invest in it as long as it has good development progress. you can see some small projects like DIA. It was still using ICO combined with the auction method to raise the funds from the investors. DIA has been proving that if DIA has proper development progress and DIA got listed on the binance only a few months after the launch.
The small projects are still having the place in the cryptocurrency as long as they can be trusted by investors.

What are small projects? I'm a bit confused here, not using top exchanges or not having the money to list on top exchanges means that a project is small or what? There are very good projects under top 100 on coinmarketcap that have good use cases and they are listed on fair exchanges like probit, this doesn't mean they are small projects, binance and Okex or other aren't the only place for all new projects

Thats why IEO on big exchange is competitive. They make a very hard requirements in order to participate with the event. Smaller projects can always bet an ICO, which is now I think easier to do using a modified smart contract. Even shitcoins can raised 100 to 500 eth within simple grasp like this.

Its not about the platform for crowdfunding but the project potential. If the project is really good wherever the place conducted it will always be sold out.

I think it all depends on the manager who holds the IEO, obviously they choose an attractive project, not a small or big project but one that is attractive to investors when the project product and its mission and vision are clear to develop the project, I think it can enter the big market

I guess the reason why you used the word 'small' is to define projects that aren't that good enough, correct me if I'm wrong, I believe that if a new project has what it takes to be more attractive to the public it will never remain a small project even if it starts as a small project, the real use case of new projects matters alot, this is what takes projects to next level

There are many projects that starts from small exchanges like even the worse Latoken and p2pb2b exchange and later they leveled up to better exchanges like bithumb and few others..

Have to accept that thing for small projects and the category of having a good and top exchange to support that project. If a small project can't accept the fact that they can't compete and go with the market with the top exchange, then they have to prove themselves.

As you know about Binance, if they see the project seems to be a good project. They'll get to notice that and will invest on it through listing it on their exchange. But just so you know too that IEOs are no longer the market interest in this time.

A small project from pro teams can easily turn big and attract top exchanges without listing on them, haven't you seen top exchanges listing tokens that aren't officially listed on the top exchanges before? If your project is good enough top exchanges will list them without taking a penny from you, it's all on the developers we have in crypto space today, hardwork and commitments pays

You do know that IEO and ICO are not the updated method, right? Now it's all about DeFi, and I think you need to be on the lookout for possible scamming using this type of project. I think small projects can be with potential, but you have to find a problem that would solve it. A token could provide the best solution, but there are also factors on its value. Whether it's usable and adaptable or not, it still needs to be worth it. No one would invest in a repeating type of project. You just have to be innovative and show that you are going to be the best project.

Why develop a project that will just be small?

The team should just dream big and if they do they can partner up with big companies, they could start pitching to them first before starting to make it public and ask funds. There are projects that started small and turned big after.

Small projects right now has low chance of surviving, main part of it because of the whales lurking they manipulated the market every time. second is the appreciation of quality token, as DeFi goes viral the investors main goal is to take instant profits instead of using the projects features, always ruin the project.

There are a very large number of cryptocurrencies now.  I understand the ambitions of the developers.  They want to create their own cryptocurrency (for example, Satoshi Nakamoto created Bitcoin, and Vitalik Buterin created Ethereum).  

However, you can realize yourself by participating in the development of old projects.  Now we need developers of sidechains, second-level solutions.  Developers and testers are needed in projects like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, Dash, etc.

Why come up with a new consensus algorithm (proof of work is the best option) or create a new cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero are already in place)?  

We must move on, creating a new future!

Your situation is understandable, even small projects deserve a chance but it's costly to launch an IEO in exchange if you believe that your project has potential even if it is a small project it will have a good chance to succeed, the success of crowdfunding largely depends on the project.
It is what investors are looking for, so go for ICO try your luck and let the investors decide.

That is a great line of thought.

but the reason why that can be easy is the fact that Exchange serves as the escrow and middlemen between projects and investors. overtime, these exchanges had built reputation and brand that make them to be able to render IEO services.

So, for a platform to do an IEO for small projects, then they need to build reputation and brand awareness. You know what, it take time for this to happen.
