At first i want to clear that i know little about Merit.

So from the start i try to Learn about Merit,how to earn or how to get Merit & what is the real work with that!
But i failed to learn i mean i really don't understand that how to get merit so easily.

But Now i know there is no such a way to get merit so easily.

I needed merit so badly but i can't earn it i am trying to post in BTT with new topic but It's really not working .

Now I really need help from you guyes,

How do you even expect to earn merit if like 95% of your post are on bounty threads? And the remaining 5% of your posts that aren't on bounty threads are really subpar.

Want to receive merit? Actually do your research and make good content. No offense, but you can't expect to do better than most people here if your knowledge concerning bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are below average.

I dont  think that you tried badly as you said.If you did you would write more posts outside bounty board. Show some interest in cryptocurrencies outside of bounties, ask questions,be helpful and useful part of community and eventually you will get merit.

Looking through a few pages of your post history; most of them were made in the bounties (altcoins) section or off topic, those are boards that requires the least effort to post in, as the bar is set really low (you can hardly be off topic in the off topic section). So merits are rarely given there.

• You earn merit by putting in effort, reading, learning and then writing. If you've put in effort to read about a certain topic, you would be able to join constructive discussions about it. This does not mean you have to be too technical as a newbie, but, you need to be willing to learn for the sake of it,

This is what happens when you basically stick to the bounty threads: you miss a whole different world on the forum, filled with knowledge and, at times, something complementary called Merits …

-   To earn merits, "simply" make posts with decent enough content, with a certain frequency, and that come as natural to you and your interests. Not much else to it to begin with.
-   The above is the "legit way".
-   The basic use is to rank-up (along side Activity), facilitate participating in some campaigns nowadays, and giving the ego a good old rub every now and then.
-   Real use as above.
-   Higher ranks do support Newbies (see updated information on   [TOP-200] Members who support newbies - Thanks! ).

The best way to learn more about it is to simply take a look at merited posts. Most of them should have something of interest to them that called the Meriter to merit them.

Merits are usually given for good content, if you are good at cryptocurrencies or just a great guy, then sooner or later you will get it.

I don't say you can not change and won't change and as consequence of any chances in future, please look at the core value and use cases of merit.

I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
 - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.

While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

This should be a self-reflection of the post you make so there is no need to ask how to get the correct merit, the bounty thread report is like trash even it's not a post, I know you are just chasing bounties to get something.

I really think this pattern needs to be changed to make it easier to get merit and I am sure people will gladly give you if your posts are very useful later so don't spam reports and show that you can change patterns like this.

The OP is a hard core bounty hunter based on profile and typically they don't give a damn about ranking up since they are using forum account to submit bounty report. Bounty industry right now is not profitable since most of bounty campaigns are scam. His 2 years here is not significant so basically he is starting from scratch.

Maybe hoping to rank up and earn through signature campaign in BTC payment.

Yes. You understand me well. I start joining bounty from 4/5 month. & before i didn’t even know what is BTT i just create account 2 years ago. If i knew that time maybe i am in Top level this time. Slowly but i understand that i need Merit & i have to earn it by posting good quality post.Really i feel bad for that now & wasting my time from 2 years . Any answer you'll get on these series of questions are perspective viewed but, the main use of merit is to increase the quality of posts on the forum and then it plays a role together with activity to aid you rank up and ranking up comes with certain benefits. It is these benefits that makes merit desirable to most users but, merit is really not so value able.
I hear people exchange merits for Bitcoin which is an abuse of the merit system but, it's always with the aim of the values that comes with ranking up once you've ranked up already. But, it's when you've ranked up that, you really get to see merit as it really is which is 'equivalent to a social media like, let's say, facebook or instagram likes on your uploads as I like to describe it).
It only puts a smile on your face and tells you you've done noble and us being appreciated.

That how can i earn Merit?

If there is one thing I know, it is the fact that, you won't get a single merit with the bunch of proof of authentication you've got on your user. It's just so much! It represents what the merit system stands against. Wipe it all and have a fresh start, focusing on learning and be informative.

There is only one way to be merited and that is, to be informative and be 100% you. Make quality contributions.

What is the real use of Merit?

Merit is used by the forum to stimulate your post quality but then, it aids you in ranking up. So, you don't use it, the forum uses it but then, it gives you a helping hand in ranking up.

You need merit to scale the ranks

They give it, infact, I get merited when I least expect any.
Giving merit anyhow will be an abuse of the system that can lead to it's disbandment which would be oweful, considering the loads of good it has done to the forum.

@Alamin1444, it's never too late to start. Just avoid the bounty section and participate in discussions.

Sooner or later, they would come naturally. You can think of helping other newbies out, or post interesting things (of Bitcoin or etc).

There are many ways to give you the merit you need to do is create a quality post thread where your creation will help for the members here in the forum and also for the readers you need to contribute so that you can receive of merit and for their created post thread you can receive merit all you have to do is give a positive comment or share your idea that will help for others.

Take note of this:

• You made a topic about KYC which is already been discussed multiple times, in the off-topic section.
• Most of your posts are from bounty sections, it shows that you're a bounty hunter and doesn't prioritize posting good topics.
• Your first post was also from a bounty thread which indicates that you already know how bitcointalk works and instantly joined a bounty campaign.

But still, it's not too late to change, check those users who have completely earned a lot of merits and it's because of their intellect on discussions. Sometimes it does not always depend on the thread you're making, even good replies are being merited. As long as it helps the thread or your statements make an addition to the discussion, it's all good.

If you're not receiving merits maybe you didn't understand how the merit system works. It's made to lessen the shitposting in the forum by motivating them to create a quality post in order to rank up.

I have visited your profile and most of your posts are in bounties, you keep on saying that you already have knowledge about merit but you are not participating in some good and important discussions in other sections of the forum. You will miss so many opportunities to gain knowledge if you are only here for bounty.

If you want to gain merit. you should contribute and participate with some topics in other section and not only in bounties. You should also make your post quality so some members will give you the merit.

First of all there are no major way to get merit, merit like the name sound is a reward given to you for a positive or highly important information or contribution you have brought to the community. You can simply earn merit by posting quality posts and bringing in fresh ideas to this bitcoin community. And being honest to you considering the period you have been on the site, you should understand better on how to earn merit.

The amount of quality post that you will post in the community that will attracts merit from other members is in direct proportion to the amount of knowledge you have about Cryptocurrency. There are many materials and articles online about bitcoin/Cryptocurrency that you can read to expand your understanding about bitcoin. In  such doing you will be able to contribute to bitcoin discussion and the level of your point will determines if your post will be rewarded with merit. Don’t always post only on bounties, there are other communities you can post in.
