The price is above the $0.48 you have said, yesterday it was $0.65 and when I checked the chart for one week I realized that it almost got to $1 price, but stopped at $0.92 before falling back to $0.65 of yesterday and now that the whole market has been sliding back it is at $0.54 or so.

The $1 new ATH is not that impossible though because the previous ATH of XRP is $1.15 but that was 3 years ago and since that time was the result of Bitcoin bull run. This year will be almost the same but I don't think of XRP will be able to break a new ATH level since it's keeping its price to a minimum level. But let's just wait and see what will gonna happen to these altcoins next year.

For me the possibility of hitting $1 of the XRP in this current year have now low possibility because it has a previous run up wherein it increase more than 120% in just 5 days and after it crashes were it dropped more than -30% and for me it is the bad thing because the red candle is too big wherein it indicating that there are huge supply and there are a lot of investors who want to sell their XRP. For me XRP need consolidation wherein it will take months so achieving $1 in this year is now have low possibility but we all know that XRP are also so volatile and it is the reason why it have triple digit gain in just days.
