You are indeed right, altcoins season will be or is different this time around unlike before, this is because investors have learnt the hard truth and hard lesson thus won't make that mistake of going for some shitcoins with nothing but hype. Also, I think many new projects will soon start coming up with their usual hype but yet, this time will be different. In my own opinion, I think your friend is making a mistake and it would be best for him to stop, I also think many shitcoins will lose their value because investors will tend to go for more profitable coins, in this case pulling out their funds and buying good coins. Lastly, you are also correct about the top altcoins, they are currently the ones growing because from all indications they offer good uses cases in addition to having an active team who are serious about what they are working on.

Shitcoins can only be left out if no one is buying, there are many shitcoins that are still trading on available exchanges and if they are have few volumes left they will surely pump due to altcoin season, those who are buying shitcoins know what they are doing, they aren't stupid, what people failed to understand is shitcoins are different from dead projects.

We really can't tell yet until it happens but this year bullrun is based on real use cases of crypto, bitcoin did a very good job in the pandemic period showing the world how it can be a real store of value when stock market was crashing hard, this is what drives crypto bullrun this year, put aside btc halving, bitcoin Bullrun of 2017 was drive by hype only so there is a chance that shitcoins will be left out.

This time only quality project like XRP, XLM, LTC, etc is going up like crazy. Investors are more matured now and they are not looking for something that will give them short-term profit. Most of the investors are looking for something that has enough potential for the future long run. Shitcoin will be dead anyway in this market.

and also avoid losses from unknown project be their strategy too. we've  face many shitproject that caused our money gone, and when crypto market start bullish trend its time to recover our loss and gain profit. avoid buying shitcoin and add our bag with top coins will give us more certainity in trading result. and xrp , ltc and other top altcoin will good option.

You have point to that matter, but you should not conclude this things too early. We aren't in the end of November nor in the last week of December. Therefore there are more possibly that even some shit coins will looks potential when great bull run take place. Shit coins will instantly have value once the market is in super bullish days. Its really a tough way to get profited from those shitcoin .You said your friend is buying as a hope that market will behaved like 2017 but i don't think so .Trader are learning from their hard time and will never bought such a coin in high price .So it is always a risky investment like gamble .Don't try it aging you can afford to loose your investment .

I think you are right investing to shitcoins wouldn't let you benefit it will just wreck you up. So instead invest on coins something like Ethereum and other increasing price coins.

Yeah, let's get real here. We all know that today's bull run wasn't like before we had in 2017. Today's increase was way more mature and strong to be exact. Anyway, we all know that shitcoins not gonna give you anything right so stop "Believing" unto them but rather invest in those coins the will certainly give a decent profit for example you can have ETH, BNB, and even the XRP. By the way, XRP is now getting furious lately. And that exactly where you should place your coins, not to those uncertain coins that is why they called "shitcoin" they worth nothing. Choose on the top listed altcoins instead.

I've been through the same times, when i was hoping my shitcoin would increase and reach my expected value, but what happened gave me a lesson. Hope the shitcoin will increase in price when the altcoin season comes, instead if you want those projects to increase as expected, choose for yourself the projects that are really easy and capable as well as potential success in the future. I believe that if everyone researches and thoroughly learns about the market, we will not have to worry about the events happening in this market.

I think you need to forget about it , you already name it as a shit coins so why do you think other investors or trader will buy a shit coins even we are in the altcoin season. they will choose other strong coins and those shit coins will be forgotten if the alt season started and even more of them will become dead and will not get any volume in that time.

That can be applied to the projects too that are considered shit right now. Bagging a handful of coins especially those tokens you got from bounty campaign or those low market cap coins doesn't make you rich. Investing in older coins and those who are in the top will make you rich.

Maybe there will be shitcoins that will make a move when the alts season comes but do not expect that all of the low market cap coins will make a move because some of them doesn't have value anymore where there are no buyers that are interested to purchase that kind of coins. Shitcoins should be avoided especially if you want to put your money in alts in these days, we should learn from the mistakes of others wherein a lot of people lose money when they bought shitcoins even though the market is uptrend. There will be always a shitcoin every era trend like way back in 2017, I am even still holding some of shitcoins in my wallet hoping someone will pick up the project and continue it so I can dump it. Seems like we cant reach ATH like 2017 but its better to take advantages of the bull run season this year.

If what shitcoin means is a coin or token that does not have a large transaction volume or the project is not running, I don't think it will be affected by its price in the current altseason. Investors nowadays are increasingly observant and wary of investing and only projects with large liquidity will be invested
