in my opinion, the psychological sell is at 20k, this is just my theory, because in 2017 people bought around ATH

Those who have bought and wants a total out of bitcoin market will just sell. But those that have understood that volatility of bitcoin is what going to bring them profit, only if they've already understood how bitcoin's nature works.

For the first time in nearly 3 years, Bitcoin has pushed above $19,000. The OG cryptocurrency soared about $20,000 back in December 2017, but was met with a bear market and a (mostly) dismal performance in 2018 and 2019.

bitcoin has indeed experienced a very sharp increase and this is surprising because the prediction circulating is that the increase will occur in the next year. but it could be that in this month bitcoin will experience a decline and it could happen, because bitcoin has experienced it in the past few months.

The sharp increase that will probably overtake 2017 will occur next year and by the end of this year with an already high enough price bitcoin will not be a surprise, but could drop to $ 15K or $ 16K. which next year will just start to increase sharply

Bitcoin has started to fall as now close to 16600$. So almost 3k drop form the top has happened in quick time. Though since its highly volatile it can bounce back again but only thing is that has the high already being made for this year or will reach 20k this year.

A lot of good and bad things happened for this year. But I think that for bitcoin, there were more good things that just happened and it's not the end of it. There will be several good news that will fetch the people who are still doubting on it.

Including those companies that haven't adopted bitcoin although it's possible for them to adopt it yet, they chose not to.

Sadly i am not happy with the downfall of the price.
I recently bought some coins when BTC was 18k USD above, and thought it will easily hit upto 22k USD at the end of the month, but sadly my fortune didn't come with me and i ended up having losses.
Still i have faith and i am assuming, BTC will surely hit 20k USD atleast at the end of this year.

Sadly i am not happy with the downfall of the price.

That's what happens if you don't purchase at the earliest. I'm sorry about that but that's ok. Don't you worry, if you believe bitcoin will go back to $19000 as soon as possible then you don't doubt that it's likely to hit $20k-$22k soon too.

I guess you have assumed a lot because we've seen an uptrend which made you believed that it will reach $22k at the end of this month. Just hold, you don't lose if you keep holding it. You lose if you panic sells and lost your patience.

One guy I think had like 1 BTC and he was saying he wasn't going to sell it until he could buy a house with it. When you read comments like that it should be a warning that there is way too much bullish sentiment and can get ugly fast, which is what happened. Way too many over leveraged longs and we went from $19500 to low $16K in a very short while.

Very well said, that's the real point, actually it's okay to be bullish as long as we aim for long term as most likely we will hit a new ATH after every ATH. To think that we can buy a house and lot with $1 btc, that's similar to saying that bitcoin will go to the moon once again, which is a no for me since it will only create some hype and then FOMO happens, but this time, the smart ones knows how to cash out in short term, so they won.

It really means that we don't know where the price is heading even if we do some technical analysis. And most of the times, when we think that we are heading in this direction, in this scenario, $20k, bitcoin will go on the opposite direction. The good thing though is that the price is hovering just above $17k and didn't drop even further. So you will have to wait and be just positive that in 2021, we might be nearing an all time high of not just $22k but even more.

We are still heading to all time high, do not be worried. I hate it when people act as if bitcoin became something so small that it is worthless now just after a huge increase. If you think $17k is bad because went from $19k to here, you are very wrong because we also moved from $10k to $17k in the past 2 months as well, why not focus on that part of the situation?

People always ignore how awesome we have improved and just care about the drop. We didn't even dropped that much neither, it is something like 10% or even 20% is not that big. For something that went as high as 90% in the past 2 months, dropping 20% or so is not really that big, it is a correction and there are people who are taking out their profits they made in the past 2 months, that was expected anyway.

This attitude is actually pretty common because it's hard for people to look back, they always move forward and if they look at charts it's maybe a week back, that's it. They feel like every single price level that gets breached is there to stay and then you get posts like "oh my god, bitcoin has crashed, is the rally over?" You look at the price and see that it's just down 10% and wonder: are they all newbies?

Well said but this won't be a strange scenario to traders/enthusiast who follows the movement of the market price before every ATH happen because when the market is bullish and getting ready for new ATH price a market correction has to happen or else if the clinch new ATH then the market correction will happen right after new ATH is achieved.

When you have lost 5 times and chasing your bet with 5x but before it hits 5x busted at 4x.
Well here people think bitcoin will go above 20000 usd easily after the surge move doubled from 9500 usd to 19000 usd .
But guess what , before it hits above 20000 usd , suddenly there is quite huge drop to nearly 16000 usd in just a couple days.
Those people who cashing out at the highest , knows how to run and deal with the market.

If we take a look at 24 hour price chart the prices are in uptrend at the moment and it seems they are going for the next level.Maybe at the beginning of December we can see good hype but a dump at the time of Christmas is expected.

Yes they have and offers pretty good rewards as well, I think it may be achieved within 1-2 weeks if bitcoin going sideways for a few days but in the last 24 hours the btc-usd crypto chart seems to be increasing positively above $17,5k. If bitcoin price could maintain its position without any corrections below $16,8k until Monday, then we will see $20k in the next week.

Yes, so everything has settled down, price seems to be on the road to recovery to $18k and that is good, at least bitcoin has proven again it's resiliency to this kind of dip. However, it already causes some panic to most investors and they could have liquidated their assets because they are afraid that it will continue its downward spiral.

Now we are going to see at the end of the month if we are heading to a new all time high. Part of me is telling that it is doable, but I don't want to get excited. I'll let the market flows it's normal course. Anyhow, we still have 2021, which I expect to be another great year in which we are going to set a new all time high.

if it was outlined according to the trend line, Bitcooin had indeed reached resistance and was hit by a double top, then a correction occurred,
and finally the support at $ 16k was touched, and strong support occurred there. it will be pump again, im sure.
