Many have suggested ETH some are altcoin I have never heard of, looking at the top ten on CMC i think polkadot would be the best choice to invest if your looking to hold a bit longer USDT and LTC is my second choice.

if I'm correct you mean decline not discount. In case I'm wrong maybe you are referring in IEO or IDO. Discount is available depends on how much you want to invest. If you are referring to decline, for me look at the top altcoins or the most trending search altcoins. Then you cab decide for yourself which the valuable to invest. Of course you must dyor (do your own research) to make sure you are in the right project.

In the current time, I have seen many potential in ETH and XLM. Both has potential to grow their price very soon shortly. Eth already released ETH 2.0 which will be more faster then ever and fees will be less rather than now. More potential will be come soon from them and the current price is around $490-510$ which will increased soon and expecting $1k in the last moment of this month. XLM will also has the potential to hit $1 very shortly. So if you want to invest, you can go for both.

For me, anything apart from BitCoin (BTC) is, Ethereum (ETH). It has been there for many years and it has proven to be a stable and valuable asset to hold. but there is a bad chance after the airdrop occurs. some coins that do that sometimes their price will crash as soon as the market starts to leave their investors after making a profit. but those who are lucky are also many because increased adoption makes better prices.

Temporary fall as retrace always comes up after that good pumped, lots of gainers are now liquidating their profits and looking for another entry place, no need to panic if you are still holding your assets else, if you still have good spare money to invest much better to add more and enjoy when another pump comes up and passed  your early positions.

If you're done dealing with your research, buying known alts are good for mid to long-term investment, no need to keep chasing from time to time as the chance that this market will brig much stronger bull is very high, lots of investors are expecting that what we are seeing now is just a small glimpse of what we'll going to see after some months/years of holding.

Well most of my choice based coins have already moved but yes there is still high potential of growth in coming months but the only coin that does not seem to have moved much and could move bigtime soon is tron trx so you can check it out and try to get as many as you can before it starts moving big.
