Hi everyone, I'm trying to find Algorithms that doesn't generate any heat when mining, is there any? I guess if there is any algorithm like that they will be a better fit for hardwares that can't withstand heat generating algorithms, for example laptops, yea I have up to 6 different laptops and in seeking for such coin that I can mine without fearing of burning things up

It's impossible Smiley There are software and programs that allow you to select the load on the processor and the number of cores for mining, but this will lead to a minimum profit. For mining, powerful multi-core processors are used, but not budget celerons and pentiums and their analogues.

Heats will still be generated unless the algorithm works through data only, like using HDD to mine? Yes there are few coins that can be mined using HDD, the algorithm is POC (proof of capacity), you might want to do research on that, But when it comes to CPU and GPU mining this will surely bring heats that can kill your laptops, don't try it

PoS (LPoS, DPoS, BPoS, HPoS, ...) are considered mining. You have to invest though.
HDD mining (Burst, Storj, Sia, ...) are using  HDD capacity.
Bandwidth mining (Nimiq) need fast internet.

However, I don't think that any of these is actually profitable, but you have to do your own research.

PoW usually creates heat. PoW usually needs big processing power. If you have the power, in some cases you can do adjustments to keep the heat under control.
Still, for laptops the heat is only one of the problems. Running them 24/7 may be another problem which can shorten their life span.

Mining is nowadays a business. And in order to run a business successfully you do need to invest.

Large hard drives are used for POC mining. 0.5-1 TB is not suitable for this mining, because there will be a very small profit.
Hard drives also get warm during operation, and the laptop is not designed for such loads.
I find using a laptop for mining the most useless idea.
