Think how long it took the average person to get on the internet. I myself didn't bother for several years. Throw in money and the total lack of understanding most people have about any of it and it's not surprising. Acceptance from Mr Average will be fed back to him from the top down with its stamp of approval, not us random maniacs.

If I knew very little right now about it I'm pretty sure my head would spin after a few minutes of research. I'd tell whoever wanted to pay me to sort their life out and gimme some boring normal money.

There are many people who see Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency as untrustworthy comparing to fiat. It is true that cryptocurrencies are too volatile and have always risks. But they don't want to see that fiat has dangers too. For example, when the currency of your country devaluates at a high rate, your money becomes very unvaluable. You could see cryptos, gold etc. as good alternatives to use then.

This is just a matter of time, bitcoin is the promising coin that will surely go mainstream. There are some people that do not have to do anything with cryptocurrencies generally, but this will change over time. Bitcoin not yet gone mainstream is one of the issues that results into people not using it very well for cross border payments because it is far better and easier for bitcoin user to make use of bitcoin for cross border payment.

Ignorance which is the lack of knowledge about something is the main reason people do not make use of bitcoin for such reasons, but the rate at which people are making use of bitcoin is increasing. With time, most people will know the real value and benefit of bitcoin. Bitcoin is decentralized and private, why people like centralized and non privacy ways which the governments are offering. As for me, I prefer using bitcoin for cross border especially while sending to families and friends, it is much easier with my self custody wallet.

Those set of people really don't know this technology, that's why they don't want to deal with bitcoin even if is has a lot of advantage like in money remittance wherein someone from the other side of the world can send you bitcoin, exchange it to your local fiat then cash it out in matter of minutes.

You don't need to be scared, that's how life it, most of the time people are rejecting this kind of technology because they are afraid to try new things like crypto. And it has been disruptive in the financial world and will continue to do so in the next 10 years. The question is what are those people, no coiners gonna do when people around are using bitcoin or at least have bitcoin in their wallet?

There are some probabilities of how this may happen:

1. They really do not want to use Bitcoin for any condition because they think that BTC is high risks and volatility. As you said, it may depend on each individual who thinks about it. But there is also the probability.

2. It relates not to personal reasons, but because countries still do not legalize Bitcoin as a currency or payment. The use of BTC is commonly related to the use of its for payment. But in some countries, there is a law that we cannot use it for payment, it may be only for the digital asset or even not both. In this case, this makes us not using BTC, only for digital assets.

3. Lack of support. Sometimes, we want to use it, but there is no commerce or shop that accepts BTC as a payment method around us. And it may be very common and also important to know what commerce or products really accept BTC

To Whom you are addressing this Mate?because general public don't even Know what Is bitcoin or if this is existing so how can you expect them to Use this?

but if you are referring to Some people that you do approach and encourage to use bitcoin instead of Fiat Yet they don't follow you then mAybe your encouragement is not enough.
The world is still So Wide for Bitcoin to be known and accepted but at least we are doing our part in making things Better for this community.

Scared is maybe not the right term but ignorance on using Bitcoin. People usually don't want to try something new especially if it's involve money. Most of the people wants a safe transaction and they will keep using the things they use to be.

I started using bitcoin because of gambling online, Bitcoin is the most convenient currency to use that's why I did not hesitate to study further on it. But if a regular that just want to do money transfer only, I bet they will not put some effort on studying the use of it.

You don't need to erase negative thought instead enlighten them knowledge about cryptocurrency they don't negatively look at it. They just really don't know what it is also we should admit it that sometimes the Bitcoin transaction gets expensive too when the blockchain is in busy days and the price of the Bitcoin is really volatile and unpredictable.

Ignorance could have been prevented if there was an introduction by a friend to you about cryptocurrency, knowledge by far is the easiest of them all, a simple Google search and the eat all you can buffet of knowledge is at the tip of your fingers. It is natural for people not to adopt early technologies so I do not blame that they were late in the hype, they only have themselves to blame but that should not distract them from the fact that it will be alright to join the hype.

It's their choice if they are going to choose the bitcoin or not, many people are using bitcoin to their daily transaction buying to the online store and to the others.

Using bitcoin have a lot of advatanges I do not know why other people see the bad sides they did not see a lot of good benefits of having this coin.

Well, it's like the fear of the unknown, or something similar. Only time could solve it, nothing we can do. Even if we force the idea of educating most of the people out there about Bitcoin,  It would still require time, and even then, it isn't guaranteed that people will accept it, so might as well let nature take its course. Look at how cars became, how TV, the internet came, it slowly integrated into society and wasn't really enforced by anyone. Afaik, there's no rule saying that you need to have a TV, Internet, or use cars to travel right? Most just let nature take its course since people would one way or another look for a better alternative for what they have right now, that is if they find one.

Let's not even mention how we can't please anyone, like how some people still refuse to use social media, use the internet, etc. so forcing it isn't really an ideal action.

Most of the fears originate from the uncertainty linked to Crypto currencies ...for example :

1. Government policies & regulations : So most people are not familiar with the policies and laws applicable to Bitcoin (Crypto currencies) in their country. They are scared of their own government and breaking the law.

2. Tax implications : They do not know how to handle Crypto currencies, when it comes to taxes. Do they only pay VAT or do they pay "Capital gains" taxes. Will they get fined if they do not report it and how much should they pay?

3. Technology is too complicated : This is a new technology and some people tend to have a fear of the unknown. They do not know how to create wallets or accounts on exchanges etc.

4. Security : A lot of people think Crypto currencies are prone to hacks and scams. This is strengthen with all the negative publicity that are posted in social media and the media.  (Also called FUD)

Accurate information distribution is key to the success of this technology and all of us should contribute to this important task. Get the truth out there to destroy the FUD.

Not all crypto users intend to do it. Maybe most of the investors treat btc as a tradable asset but of course there are still who see it as more of a means of exchange. Believe me, there are some who are really willing to adopt crypto in daily basis but the problem is the scarcity of opportunities. Just like in my case, I was able to buy prepaid loads using btc but still I am not contented with it. I want more bigger and wider real life applications of it such as paying bus fare, paying in grocery stores, paying services like computer rentals etc. etc. I'm eager to adopt but I couldn't, these things are not present at least in the area where I reside. So sad, isn't it ?

well it seems that some of them are financially good with the old concept, they like him do not want the central finances will change it will change their lives, and I think bitcoin is very fair because it is not controlled by anyone. We just need to develop this bitcoin so it's acceptable in society.

This is the importance of introducing bitcoin and blockchain to the wider community, the government must be able to foster people who want to learn about blockchain and bitcoin, I have read in a post and there was a comment saying that bitcoin is used by criminals to send funds in a country affected by civil war, well here education about bitcoin and blockchain is important and its positive use for the community so that there is no confusion about the badness of bitcoin

Governments have spent hundreds of years to convince people to use paper money backed by nothing instead of using gold coins, the soundest physical money in history, which allowed nations for flourishing and prosperity. Now it is our turn to start to convince people to learn how money emerged, what properties it should have, why gold has been used for centuries and continues to be used as a reserve asset in central banks vaults, why governments should not necessarily be managers of the economy, why we should return to sound money based system and why bitcoin is the perfect candidate for that system. Ignorance is what makes them think they don't need bitcoin, but when they learn that they were deceived, they will realize they can't live without bitcoin.
