Some people don't understand what is Buy/ Sell, Long/ Short, Bid/Ask and don't know difference between them. They use those terms very careless and arbitrarily.
Important to remind that those terms are used in pairs, you can not use Buy and Short, Sell and Long for example. It is weird and not correct.
Buy/ Sell is used for real possesions. When you buy or sell, you buy or sell (cash out) with your real assets, real money.
Long/ Short is used for unreal possesions (or no possesion at all). You don't own the asset you Long or Short. You borrow it from other customers or from exchanges. With Long and Short, you have to pay fees for borrowing assets. If you borrow from customer A, and that contract expires after 1 day, you will have to borrow another loan from another customer (B, example). Exchange automatically do the process for you but it is like that. Your loan will only be closed if you close your positions (Long or Short).
Long and Short positions need to be closed as soon as possible. They are different than Buy and Sell.
Bid/ Ask relates to spread on the market and please see the document for more explanation. On some exchanges, operators use Bid/ Ask instead of Buy/ Sell.
