No doubt about that! Bitcoin being included as your subject is indeed a big leap towards adoption. To be honest, it should not be bitcoin that will be center in the subject curriculum. The better thing that they should focus on is blockchain technology and network because bitcoin is just scratching the surface. It will be a milestone but if you want a future generation that will create and upgrade the whole thing, I think that the curriculum must focus more on blockchain technology.

Schools in countries in the world should start introducing and creating a curriculum about bitcoin early on before mass adoption and a surge in the number of users actually occur. At least the lesson contains basic technical and historical information. It will be more effective to increase students' insight and caution about the use of this type of currency.

It's nice to hear (especially that we are in the same country) that your school or your professor is open about teaching and educating you about bitcoin. I'm curious if your school will include a specific discussion about bitcoin as part of your course program, or it was just being discussed/introduced by your prof? It's still nice because your other classmates might have no idea what is bitcoin can also learn even just the basic one.

Bitcoin and Blockchain become recognized in financial technology since several years ago, hence many schools and university introduced bitcoin and blockchain to their curriculum especially countries in the EU, US, and Australia. However, only a few countries in Asia have introduced information and guidelines on virtual currencies  such as in Japan, Thailand, and South Korea.

That's good to know and I think cryptocurrency should be a subject to technology related courses of course it would be available to other courses since that topic is no relation to their course. I am happy that some school or universities are including this as a subject.

Well I could not believe for you might be saying the truth or probably you are just making some story to get the attention of the members here in the forum. But whatever it is if it really being introduce in your school then bitcoin has already been considered to be adapted even the government agencies are seeing it already as a subject that can change how the financial aspect could be in the future with bitcoin system. There is a high chance that government will going to accept bitcoin for the community consumption and when that happens to all forum members here that has BTC holdings then I guarantee you can be rich anytime soon when demand will going to be high while only having 21M bitcoins supply.

I don't know if we're the same but in this school year (2020-2021) Bitcoin is now being introduced to our school, although it may not be introduced to other courses, since I am currently taking Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) hence, we are to take Bitcoin and the history of BTC. It's actually great that schools are putting Bitcoin to their curriculum, with that, I got to share my experience with Bitcoin, I got the chance to share my knowledge about the history of Bitcoin and how much I benefited from this.

No doubt this is a big leap towards the future. Now students will have information about bitcoin and with this information they have processed it towards however they want. I just hope that they do not teach it in negative manner like this is a thread for current currency system and the current currency system is the system which needs to stay.

They should also know the risks that includes in bitcoin because it is not always a win-win currency.

Also, they should teach them about its no.1 enemy scammers and fake schemes so that they are knowledgeable about preventing themselves to fall for those.

Bitcoin is much popular right now so they should expect that there are a lot of criminals who will urge to scam them or take their assets away. As bitcoin is already circulating in some schools or courses, they should invest on it and try it so that they totally become familiarized with it.

You're right, the majority of bitcoin users and legality in several countries of the world are different. I think this is a major factor in the development of study and discuss about blockchain or cryptocurency officially recognized by the government. Countries with the principle of legality are allowed I think it will be easy to find study and discuss, curriculum or courses on blockchain and vice versa. In my own country, I have never heard of blockchain cryptocurency, but when it comes to cryptography there is some research on this matter.

It will indeed going to be a big leap to the future if the one who is going to teach you is knowledgeable about the subject, because if they are just going to randomly give it to a vacant teacher who's not fully loaded of units yet, then it's a waste. Bitcoin subject is a broad land to be tackled carefully piece by piece in order to understand it's nature.

But this has an advantage, you know what? Well if students will be addicted on studying Bitcoin and starts earning big on it, they will lose their interest in the rest of the subjects and might not continue their studies anymore, just like me (I'm not kidding).

I like to see the syllabus and the recommended books of your teacher, just if I can recommend for any interested here. Bitcoin has a very short history that can be thought in 2 classes but I think concern should be placed on the technology, safety and economics. As the most profitable asset in the last decade there should motivation for student to hold bitcoin, altcoins and engage the use cases. I also feel the examination should come from those important applicable cases of bitcoin and altcoins

Schools in my country do not care much about bitcoin. They do not think that bitcoin is a good subject to be taught in schoolm though,I dont expect much in the education. We have already had the Internet. If they truly want to learn about bitcoin, they will know where to find sources of information

Great thought by the school to include this in your subject and from initial days only knowledge being imparted to the fellow students. This is a good beginning and hopefully many other universities in different countries will  follow this and will include some sort of syllabus in their schools to atleast make them aware about it.

Hoping more University will teach the bitcoin on how to invest to the cryptocurrency because it is great opportunity to the fresh graduate or student to have income or have a good investment for their good future.

I don't know if there is a school or university in my country that teaches student about bitcoin, but it looks like it hasn't and it will take some time. This step can also be interpreted as a way to help bitcoin become more popular among students.

Your school look forward what will get from bitcoin as subject in the school, I think headmaster have good knowledge about bitcoin as digital currency payment and wanna try to make bitcoin as subject in the school.
