I don't know if we're the same but in this school year (2020-2021) Bitcoin is now being introduced to our school, although it may not be introduced to other courses, since I am currently taking Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) hence, we are to take Bitcoin and the history of BTC. It's actually great that schools are putting Bitcoin to their curriculum, with that, I got to share my experience with Bitcoin, I got the chance to share my knowledge about the history of Bitcoin and how much I benefited from this.
I also decided to post it here because I think this is a big leap towards the future, from people doubting about Bitcoin and now, people are heavily relying on it, being informed, buying bitcoins, learning the ways on how to exactly earn bitcoins.
P.S - Okay, so for those who are asking on what country, type of school am I in, I currently live in the Philippines which is a third world country, a country that is not yet solidified when it comes to technology, and education that is not as advanced as it may seem, since we are focused on the main subjects, Bitcoin and the technology of Blockchain has unlikely entered, well, educationally speaking, but my school (a college institute) and probably many more has started off talking about Blockchain, there are no downsides to this since we are only talking about it and studying but they're not encouraging students just yet to become enthusiastic about Bitcoin, probably in the future.

No doubt this is a big leap towards the future. Now students will have information about bitcoin and with this information they have processed it towards however they want. I just hope that they do not teach it in negative manner like this is a thread for current currency system and the current currency system is the system which needs to stay. I little curiosity: Which institute is this and which country you are talking about.

You did not mentioned your country, but I guess your country is very much open to this technology which is really a good news, this is what happen when your government is very open to adopting Cryptocurrency they will go on their own way to educate their citizen about Cryptocurrency.

It's not just schools. I teach kids in kindergarten and junior high and many of them have enrolled in courses which are related to Bitcoins and cryptocurrencies. They are very well aware of what Bitcoins and cryptocurrencies are and therefore I do believe that in the upcoming years they will be more open towards the concept of cryptos and will be experts. At the same time when we talk about the universities , the universities are offering courses on cryptocurrencies and even Bitcoins, many students are enrolling in the same and teachers have to learn something very different.
Right know coronavirus is not the only content that is being created for the book to be read in future , after going strong for more then 10 years Bitcoins is finally being recognized.

It was great to hear that from you. Slowly but surely, Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are being adopted in a massive way, like introducing them to schools. It is all about nonstop education to the masses on what really Bitcoin is all about, and explaining the real and positive use cases of it and not ending up to ponzi schemes. I like the fact that Bitcoin is now being added in the curriculum in some schools and universities worldwide.

Sounds great, eventually there will be (may be there is) totally separate course for cryptocurrency. Sadly in our local, there’s no way our ministry will consider adding such subjects. And still, most of the people have never heard the word Bitcoin.

Yes, at least an impartial approach is expected from schools when teaching about bitcoin. Anyway, without any doubts it's a sign bitcoin is being recognized by traditional institutions and people are taking it more seriously now than in some years ago, when bitcoin was fully discredited and ignored by such institutions. If more colleges put bitcoin on their curriculum it can help bitcoin adoption increases among students and their families and some of them can become big investors.

There are a number of schools and universities that offer blockchain degrees, but how much (or no) learning about Bitcoin is there specifically? When it comes to the EU, I am familiar with the news published several times on our forum that the teaching of cryptocurrencies and BTC is being introduced in French schools. I think that any education about cryptocurrencies, especially BTC is welcome, because there are more and more scam schemes related to crypto and people need to learn what exactly it is about and how to protect themselves.

I'm sure that the blockchain technology is mentioned in some courses about database management at our local university as well. I am not sure about Bitcoin though. However Bitcoin is worthy of economic history and macroeconomic courses. One can make a lot of interesting case studies on it. From supply and demand analysis, market behaviour and sentiments and so much more.

Yeah, I hope they taught Bitcoin, Blockchain, or Cryptocurrency in my school days. Philippines isn't that most advanced when it comes to technology but at least people here are supporting to new innovation so Bitcoin is getting a lot of traction. There's already seminars and some gatherings that tech about Blockchain and cryptocurrency. I hope that this continues till it reaches college.

I have also encounter one of the most known online platforms that offers subject courses and one of this courses was cryptocurrency from known universities in western countries and i wanted to enroll in it but sadly their enroll fee was high and i can't afford it yet. How i really wish that here in our country bitcoin will become one of the subjects to be teach in the universities but i guess it would take some time to be implemented.

I know that some countries have introduced school level courses on blockchain technology. Such courses have been introduced only because of the interest of the students. But launching a separate subject on specific bitcoin content is a really great decision. Students should have practice on these sophisticated technologies from the school level. This is a commendable initiative.

wow looks awesome when have application bitcoin as subject in the school, may I know where is your school located and how long bitcoin become as subject there. I think have procedure and allowed by government first to make bitcoin as legal payment transaction or only giving chance for student to know and get profit later with bitcoin and altcoin, I think very fantastic if my country want to make bitcoin and altcoin as subject in the school because many people will know with bitcoin during school and practice later how to trade and invest with bitcoin or altcoin later to earn much profit.

You guys are lucky to have that on your curriculum in this time of year. But, I guess it would be more relevant If you tackle more on blockchain technology than cryptocurrency or Bitcoin. Because there's a lot of things or computer related projects you can make with the use of blockchain, not much about Bitcoin, but a digital currency and a tool for investment. Nevertheless, that's a good curriculum anyway.

Here, More top 50 universities are now offering blockchain courses. But it's mostly in USA though, but I believed that other universities around the globe will recognised blockchain or crypto technology and they might include it as a regular in their curriculum. But I can't tell if they are going to focus on bitcoin though, probably could be inserted just a good example of what blockchain is and bitcoin as an example.

Actually, our subject is more lenient on the technology of Blockchain, I think they tried to tackle on the history of BTC first in order for the students to gain some idea on why Blockchain is involved with BTC, we also tackled other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Ripple, BCH, and more, we also tackled this semester the technology of Blockchain and how it works.

This is really huge and great. It's glad tidings. At least the doubters will now know that Bitcoin and the entire crypto stuff have come to stay. People should begin to have confidence that it's not a bubble any more. For schools to have it as a part of their curricula means a lot. It's scholarly, just the way schools taught students Banking and Finance/Accounting to set in the banking era. It's interesting that Bitcoin is taking a centre stage now. Even the OP should've an edge on his course mates because of his earlier exposure to Bitcoin, and of the knowledge oozing from this forum too. Kudos! We are in for a new financial era. It's the bits era.

That will surely be a good start or should I say eye-opener for the new generation. It's a good thing that Bitcoin is being introduced to youth at an early age so they would have an idea about it if more adoptions would happen in the future. People really need enough learning and education about Bitcoin because that will be beneficial for both users and the market. I just wish that Bitcoin could also be introduced the same way in our country.
