Creating sub accounts in Bitmex

Hi

Does anybody know how to create sub accounts in Bitmex? I would like to have different positions in different sub accounts.

The reason is because Bitmex combines my positions together, and makes it harder for me to create different positions.

I don't think that's a feature with them, you can have multiple accounts with them afaik so you could do that instead...

If you want to use different leverages on different positions you could always do a bit more calculations and do everything in cross - as long as they're all in the same direction.

Just like @jackg said, Bitmex doesn't have a feature or anything that fits the description of a sub account although the feature has been long anticipated but it hasn't been released. So your best bet right now would be to create multiple accounts. That way, you can handle multiple positions even with similar trading pairs. Even Binance doesn't offer such feature as well, you have to go through the process of creating more accounts and managing all of them which is too much work in my opinion.

I actually have two accounts on Bitmex. It's possible to make multiple accounts on them as I do different strat or some hugging strat for my leverage trading. You should now focus on your trading with different accounts as you need more time to monitor your entries.

BitMEX Knowledge base writes that they allow up to 3 accounts per verified person. Nevertheless there are some notes and you have to follow the rules on BitMEX:
- Your accounts (up to 3 accounts) have to be registered with same name (as a person) and verified already.
- You can not use affiliate link and get affiliate rewards for linked accounts.

I already created multiple accounts with Bitmex.
I also don't think it is not allowed by the rules of Bitmex but before I am using multiple account with different email addresses for sure.
I am using it if I have multiple positions or I want to cross position, sometimes I am using cross position with the small funds on the sub account. I am using my main account's affiliate link to create sub accounts before.
As MusaMohamed said there are rule about this by Bitmex, I just found it now, just be careful of doing it, Bitmex may caught you and may terminate your account.

Why create sub-accounts instead to create another new account in BitMEX? I think you only want to avoid the KYC process so that you want to have a sub-account that you can use to trade with different money. I don't know if BitMEX will have that feature, but I can suggest you not to do that because that can make you confuse to manage your account. If you are sure that you can handle both accounts, maybe you can open a new account to be used for another purpose. But be careful, that will need more time and emotion to handle both accounts. It is better to handle one account in one exchange, but you can open a new account in the other exchange
