There are many people who don't know about Bitcoin. I am not saying it by my opinion. I just made my first topic in which I asked about it. And many of us replied positive.

My First Topic.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5294677.0

Now I am going to suggest something and also want your opinion.

1. Blockchain should be the Elective or Compulsory subject at University level.
2. Traders and the people who know about the Bitcoin should held the Events monthly and yearly basis.
3. Youtubers should make simple videos to understand the bitcoin or Blockchain. In all countries and in all languages. ( That's mean there must be a youtuber from every country)

Waiting for your suggestions.

Now I am editing my post because some are saying that Universities is not the better way.
Some top universities already added the Blockchain in courses.
I suggested that it should be in all over the world. I read this article anywhere don't know the resource.
But if I am wrong so you can turn me to a better way.

Here is a list of institutions or companies that provide blockchain courses or education. Please add another if you know other places that offer classes or training related to cryptography, cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

Association:

Association of International Certified Profesional Accountants
Institution:

Berkeley University of California
Binus University
Copenhagen Business School
Duke University
Insead
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
New York Institute of Finance
Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology
New York University Tandon School of Engineering
Stanford School of Engineering
Princeton University
Rutgers The State University of New Jersey
The Hongkong University of Science and Technology
Univesidad Austral
University at Buffalo The State University Of New York.
University of California Irvine
University of Cape Town
University of Colorado System
University of New Mexico
University of Nicosia
University of Pennsylvania
University of Singapore
University of Zurich.

If this is better way to aware people therefore these institutions adds the course.

Answer to 1: NOPE. As long as universities don't even teach the basics of finance such as taxes and what not, introducing Crypto in it seems unlikely. Blockchain on the other hand, is a bit of a more specialized subject imo, and could be taught in courses that actually tackle it or would tackle it, but I hardly doubt it since Blockchain is a specialized type of Database and most that are taught in universities are mostly generalized ones, at least in my case.
2. Some people do seminars and the like regularly, so I guess that's a thing already. As for their topics, I'm not particularly sure but as long as it's about crypto (not trading crypto) I guess it's fine?
3. Unlikely. YouTubers create videos for content that is actually enjoyable and the like. the majority would not sit in front of their screens and listen to you discuss something they aren't even interested in. It's like the seminars done by schools that force students to listen to them, where the vast majority of those students wouldn't even remember the contents after a few days.

All in all, I don't think there's a need to force everyone to learn it, if someone wants to learn it, sure, ask away in various forums and the like. In fact, this forum itself stands as something like a teaching ground, since a lot of people could answer various queries about crypto, and discussions could easily be made. Granted that you can sort through the number of replies a post could get though.

There is no need to make blockchain studies a compulsory subject. The technology is great, but it isn't universal to implemented everywhere and has its onw drawbacks.

It can be possible, if universities make an introductory course I think it will fair because blockchain is not limited to finances, if this is used in other fields, who knows what can happen. One example I can think of is using blockchain network for anonymous medical testing for diseases that can cause social stigma.
2. Some people do seminars and the like regularly, so I guess that's a thing already. As for their topics, I'm not particularly sure but as long as it's about crypto (not trading crypto) I guess it's fine?
If we have a saturation of crypto people helding seminars left and right I think it will discourage people.

I agree regarding content creation, most creators aim for a entertainment content and having a educational is difficult especially for young adults. Not to mention, blockchain network in itself is a difficult topic that can't summarized in one video.

1. In this day and age you don't need the universities to teach you something, the information is all out there and can easily be acquired.

2. Absolutely not. If you want to introduce a new technology and this new decentralized "currency" to people the "traders" are the last people you should look at. They neither understand nor care about bitcoin at all. All they care about is fiat and how much more of if they can gain.
Other experts such as Andreas Antonopoulos who are actually knowledgeable have been educating people for years now.

3. Youtube is already filled with garbage bitcoin related content, most of which discussing the price and some its technical aspects in a pretty terrible way. What you should have said is we need better content like what Andreas Antonopoulos has on Youtube.

1. Don't you worry. The Universities that into the new trend of technology will give it a try. They only have to add it as an elective subject and include it in their curriculum. Very easy work for them.
2. This varies, with the pandemic. Most events are online and it's also accessible but there's no need for compulsory on this. Everyone can create their own events if they think that they have to do it for the people who want to learn about it. But it shouldn't be limited for trading only.
3. There are a bunch of content on Youtube about this.

not just for a new generation, but people who currently own the industry, the company itself we can introduce because it will make bitcoin more known in society. Some universities in my country already have teachings about cryptocurrencies may just be very basic. I hope they can develop projects that currently need to be developed based on the needs of the community. it must be very helpful in introducing bitcoin in order to gain trust in society.

In my university, we discussed first a little background about Bitcoin then we went straight to the technology of Blockchain to furthermore understand how BTC really works and how important Blockchain technology is to cryptocurrencies, we tackled about smart contracts, e-wallets and how they work, how does fiat differ from cryptocurrency, and etc. all I can say is that having a smooth talk and an action plan would make Bitcoin easier to tackle, well, in terms of universities and schools, In my opinion, when you are to introduce Bitcoin to someone, you really do need to find the certain phrases that will get their attention and become much more curious.

I agree. YouTube University is always present in lending a hand to whoever needs help on anything, I mean anything.

2. Absolutely not. If you want to introduce a new technology and this new decentralized "currency" to people the "traders" are the last people you should look at. They neither understand nor care about bitcoin at all. All they care about is fiat and how much more of if they can gain.

Correct. Asking people first if they are interested or not is a must to avoid wasting time explaining about Bitcoin and Bitcoin enthusiast isn't not obligated to conduct seminars or event (unless it has a talent fee) and depends on the survey if many will come or not.

3. Youtube is already filled with garbage bitcoin related content, most of which discussing the price and some its technical aspects in a pretty terrible way. What you should have said is we need better content like what Andreas Antonopoulos has on Youtube.

I couldn't agree more. Most of the YouTube videos I see that's Bitcoin related are just investment scams, faucets, and referrals. Other YouTubers promote trading platforms even if they don't know how to use it, how ironic. I also want to say that Bitcoin related videos only have small views compare to non-bitcoin related videos.

1) IMO blockchain should not be a compulsory subject at university level. You can't tell an electric engineer that he needs to learn about blockchain. Perhaps for database IT study programs, blockchain should represent a compulsory domain for study, but again - blockchain is not yet implemented at a level which obligates people to learn about it.

2) I think there are plenty of events organised in the crypto sphere especially in the digital space. Just look at all the youtubers that create content around it. As a matter of fact I have just watched Robert Kiyosaki expanding on the subject.

3) I agree. Short and simple makes the dream work! Smiley

In my opinion, blockchain is not a universal technology.  This technology is useful in trustless systems.  Thus, this technology has very limited applications.

The most successful implementation of Blockchain technology is a virtual world currency with a Proof-of-Work consensus algorithm (i.e. Bitcoin).

What should be taught in universities?  In my opinion, the principles of decentralization.  It is very important.  It is also very important to teach students how to surf the Internet safely.

Technology is not the most important thing.  In any system, the weakest link is the person.  Freedom, anonymity, confidentiality, decentralization are the main principles.  Blockchain technology doesn't make sense without them.

Thanks to the internet, you can easily access all the information that you need about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The information is freely available and you can even use key words on your browser's search engine to look up any specific bitcoin and cryptocurrency related content. You should also consider visiting forums, such as the forum you are currently  on you can ask questions and get answers. You can even visit specific website and trading platforms on their websites. The key that beginners need to have a chance of achieving success in crypto trading is leering all you can.

1. As far as know there are already universities offering blockchain technology courses. Not only that there are a lot of online courses as well.

2. Go to his board: Meetups.

3. Maybe, but we all know that Youtube is a platform to make money as well, so I don't know if there youtubers that will simply create video about blockchain technology or bitcoin without thinking of incentives.

So I guess let bitcoin promote itself, we have seen that in recent months it has been covered by mainstream media, like: https://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2020/11/30/famously-volatile-bitcoin-hits-new-record-topping-19857, so the word is quickly spreading.

Some knowledgeable influencers do what you are suggesting but remember it is not their responsibility to do so. If they contribute, we should appreciate their time and contributions. If they don't contribute, don't attack them.

Sometimes, it can cause side-effects if you are talking too much about one thing to a close-minded person. If the person you are talking with doesn't show any interest, for a few times, let's stop at this stage. If that person need information later, (s)he will find you, and it will be a time for you to talk more.  Wink

In my opinion YouTube is overloaded about Bitcoin content already, there are too many channels, the most important thing is to find good one with qualitative content. Universities are not best choice. The life itself is very dynamic and the educational programms  there  are mostly outdated. Because before the educational program will be adopted the situation with some direction may change. The best choice is to show real concrete examples in life of using. And of course to tell about Bitcoin only for thise who really wants to know.

1. As far as know there are already universities offering blockchain technology courses. Not only that there are a lot of online courses as well.

You don't need to study that deep if you just want to have knowledge about nlockchiain, those people go to university is those people who want to became developer someday.

3. Maybe, but we all know that Youtube is a platform to make money as well, so I don't know if there youtubers that will simply create video about blockchain technology or bitcoin without thinking of incentives.

For simple learning you can find many video tutorial in youtube and other social media websites or in the web there are many article that already have depend on what you want to learn.

I think blockchain has been around for a long time, it's just a different version. the reason is that at the university majoring in economics, transaction systems, buying and selling, banking have been studied there. it's just not in broad terms on behalf of the blockchain. and I think blockchain knowledge is a development from conventional to modern transaction knowledge.
In essence, it has a transaction system between the seller and the buyer. blockchain with digital data whereas conventional transactions use manual data.
it's just a matter of development.

I don't see any bad idea with OP's topic, in fact, I see it as for the betterment of the entire cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin which may lead to global adoption.

To answer the OP questions:

  • Ans #1.  Yes, it must be added particularly to the curriculum of courses that is related to technology, economy, and finance.
  • Ans #2 If it's for education and awareness of everyone then I tend to agree with it but should be limited to the information of blockchain and not with trading because the two came from different fields IMO.
  • Ans#3 Youtube and news right now often criticize bitcoin and cryptocurrencies if this is one way that would enlighten the mind of those people who are not willing to go to school nor any seminars to learn cryptocurrencies then I suppose this is the best way.

I suggest you go to your local aboard and seek information about the school universities that studying blockchain technology.  Or a piece of simple advice to google everything they wanted to know about Bitcoin.

It sounds as good idea, but how could it actually come true? There aren't so many people working in the area of blockchain and cryptocurrency, so who will teach all the students?

I'm sure there are a lot events like ones you are writing about. Check out https://eng.ambcrypto.com/list-of-events-2020/

Blockchain and bitcoin are two different things. Bitcoin is a currency used to trade or buy something. While blockchain is a network where bitcoin and other types of crypto transactions are recorded.
If one wants to improve his knowledge about blockchain tech and make it a career then he should really go to those schools that OP mentioned or find a course about it.
But if you only want to learn bitcoin, surfing the internet is enough to learn about its basics and fundamentals based on my experience.
