You need to claim your staking reward

I have a question the apy on yf-dai is 72 percent when stake, when will this decrease and eventually goto a normal number due to max supply?

Staking has been working good since September and returns will continue at 72% until there are no yfdai left. After this it will be replaced with tokens from launchpad projects.

I have been staking with a metamask account for 4 months. I found out it could be done with a ledger too, so I unstaked it and staked again with my ledger (to protect my yfdai). Does this mean it will count my staking time again from 0 days

Yes, if you unstak and then stake again, the counter will starts all over again

When will airdrop snapshot take place? I am thinking of changing my wallets address used for staking, hope this will not have effect on snapshots to qualify for SST Airdrop?

Please be guided, if you change your wallets, to another one, your timer for profit shares and bonuses will reset.
It's better to wait till after the Snapshot has been taken, of which the date has not been announced yet

For those of us that are trading on CEX, If we hold our tokens there without withdrawing to private wallet, will we qualify for airdrop?

I think it is advisable to move your token from to your personal wallet, this is because the project team may not be able to view wallets on exchanges, your  Yf-dai has to be in a private wallet where the can be able to view and airdrop to like metamask or trustwallet.
