Grading, Crypto Collectables ICG and ANACS

  Hi are their any other services grading crypto collectables besides ANACS and ICG ?  ANACS is considered one of the top three along with NGC and PCGS although those two do not grade cryptos last I heard.  Then you have the "oversized" Items such as the early Paper Safe wallets which I am thinking of getting graded along with some other collectables. The last coins I had graded (NGC) took 3 months !  What's been your experience turn around time and price ?

my favorite is anacs.
i like the shape of the case very much and the coin which is graded looks very noble in this case

The problem with ANACS is that they don't even grade our coins anymore.... they just slap a number on them, collect their fee and go on their way.  Personally I'm not a fan of the "doorstop" shape of the ANACS slabs or the fact the coins are backwards in the slab, but to each their own.  I may be called biased with my connection to ICG, but one thing I know for sure is that ICG takes our crypto coins seriously.

You may be biased but I am not. I protect my slabbed coins with intercept technology https://www.lighthouse.us/intercept-track-box-for-20-slabs.html and the ANACS slabs do not fit smoothly into the grooves, whole ICG slides in perfectly. Besides the ease of sliding in the intercept box, I also prefer the smooth edges and look of the slab altogether...did I mention the stellar service that anonymous miner provides? Ok, maybe I am a tab bit biased too

I also have a guardhouse graded coin case and the anacs slabs are a tiny bit loose in the precut slots compared to the icg which are perfectly snug.

i think having legit competition keeps both sides honest, like PSA vs. BGS in the trading card space. i've used ANACS before (back when they had the yellow slabs) and it was straightforward and painless. personally i do like the anacs slab aesthetic more than ICG's which to me looks warped.

either way, i would not send anything via mail right now due to the value at stake and shipping delays. it sounds like anonymousminer has a good hookup for IGC. i plan to reach out to him and try out ICG when i get comfortable grading coins again.

say no to grading! keep your crypto out of plastic prison. if its not ngc or pcgs its not worth it, would you trust a grading company that grades a strike on plastic?

I have used both and have been very impressed with both ICG and ANACS, and especially our contacts here that assist with the process. I prefer to have all my coins and chips slabbed for protection, peace of mind, storage, and authentication purposes. A few items to note:
- ICG offers better services for peeled coins. I believe ANACS requires you to remove the holo and key, ICG will slab them in place.
- ANACS offers slabbing for larger coins, like the 25 Cas, where ICG does not.
- ANACS does grade and slab chips like Satori and BTCC, ICG only authenticates and slabs. I know this makes AM fume  , but it is nice having a grade assigned as the chips are subject to wear and damage also like coins, so hence a lower grade. Most ANACS chips will grade MS69, however.
- I do prefer the visual appeal, slab, and storage capability of ICG, if I had to choose between the two. AM did bring up the point prior that the ANACS coins are backwards in the slab displaying the holo, which is another reason ICG is more visually appealing.

Have seen a few physical cryptos graded by a Canadian and a UK company
Have been using both ICG and ANACS... both are similarly priced and turn-around times.
Most coins have been taking about 2 weeks or a little longer.

I went the economy version of NGC at $22 per coin since I had 14 coins, still what a wait ...  I will go the $30 per coin from now on

not on plastic but the .999 silver strikes from Casascius were the ones I had in mind. I had a few of those graded by ANACS MS69 1btc. The brass strikes are gradable too.  Now that these coins have gone over $20,000 in value having a third party grade would bring higher value at auction.
