It is very important to save myetherwallet from hack. Using metamask is an solution of it . after using metamask it is littile risk to hack myetherwallet. There are various causes for hack. To prevent hack must follow some instruction may halpful one.
1. All time loogin with metamask or your myetherwallet file.
2. Try to Do not loogin with your originally myetherwallet private kye in any exchange.
3. Do not open all link via email
4. Do not open link via pm as you are see something wrong
5. Add bookmark myetherwallet on your pc
6. Try to logout from exchange site as fast as possible after withdraw you assets.
You can add some cryptonier extrention to crome on your pc.

At some levels, it's even greater than Trustwallet. It works well also as a browser extension. I use it with my Mozilla since a long time and it works well.
Frm the user side, the main difference between TrustWallet and MetaMask is that MetaMask works only for Ethereum (and all his sub-tokens) users [you can't hold btc in MetaMask for example], when TrustWllet is a multi-currency wallet with many other options. We can't properly compare the two wallets as they are so different each to other.

don't forget that there are also fake wallet apps scattered in the playstore. so if you don't really need to use another application/wallet then better stay to what you are using right now. I am not users of metamask in chrome but in terms of security they are almost the same .

Thanks a lot for the link. There's a really very good guide to using metamask for android. Here you just need to make one amendment, that initially to import your wallet into metamask, you must first create a new wallet, thereby activating the ability to enter a secret key.

Points 3 & 4 may be more precise about not clicking on links from random emails or advertising emails. But I don't understand what the risk is from point 6.
Everything op informed has only one main point which is avoiding phishing sites. The only potential MEW hacking risk on Metamask is if you get stuck on a phishing site without realizing it.

They have the same parameters but it's just that Metamask made it easier because it's a wallet that's easy to use and you can send there your deposits first before using a DEX that requires private keys.

But if you analyze both of it, they're all the same in terms of keeping yourself secured from hacking. It's the way how you use these wallets and how vigilant you are in downloading apps on the web. There are too many fake metamasks that are existing and the same goes for other wallet apps.

Metamask is good and its prominence keeps increasing over the years as it goes on to keep protecting users and their assets. Another advantage of Metamask is that, it supports a lot of networks, that is, apart from Ethereum network, others like Binance smart chain can be added and so on. Nevertheless, nowadays Trust wallet is trying their best to make everything easy for users, thus, in cases where you might want to connect to a Dex exchange for example through metamask, you can do so easily with Trust wallet. Another good attribute is that, Trust wallet also support Metamask, that is when connecting to a platform, you can connect with Metamask, Trust wallet as well as other options. Hence in my own opinion, anyone you finds friendly, go with it, both Trust wallet and Metamask are trustworthy and reliable.
Lastly, commenting on point 3 and 4, it is very important to pay attention to them, that is, whether the link is sent to your email or through message from anyone, don't bother clicking or accessing your wallet through it, always go through the link verified and trusted by you.

I am also of the opinion that there is no 100% security if we are not careful ourselves.
Even the fact that users write here about what wallets they are using is unwary, because of giving scemmers information like that in the future may be useful for robbing them.
Do not allow any information to be pulled out from you (especially in threads like this), do not provide passwords or any information on unverified websites, always check the address of the website you are connecting to and always be very careful!

So many hacked case happened with metamask and the only safes way to use mycrypto desktop wallet and everyone can even broadcast their transaction in offline mode to prevent the hackers to scammers try to steal our money. I never use MEW or metamask again consider it has more disadvantages over the advantages.
MEW is too risky right now even when you are using MEW adds but it doesn't guarantee we will be safe from the attack.

To prevent of getting hack, always use a spare device or laptop to access your cryto funds. Make sure to use a legit operating system and not the crack versions. A newly formatted harddrive with newly installed OS is 100% safe.

Those who still use MEW web wallet can use MEW Android app or Metamask if they want. This will greatly increase the security of your wallet and you can easily transfer crypto without custom tokens.
