I got my hand on a few 3060ti (Gigabyte Gaming X OC TRIO) so heres the Hashrate 3060ti - ETH - Windows - custom curve - Phoenix Miner 1350 Mhz - 0,762V RAM 6800 MHz (+- 000) = 51,8 MH/s / 111,5 Watt 2,15 W / 1MH RAM 7300 MHz (+ 500) = 55,7 MH/s / 116,0 Watt 2,08 W / 1MH RAM 7800 MHz (+1000) = 59,5 MH/s / 121,2 Watt 2,04 W / 1MH RAM 8000 MHz (+1200) = 60,5 MH/s / 123,0 Watt 2,03 W / 1MH RAM 8200 MHz (+1400) = 61,0 MH/s / 124,0 Watt 2,03 W / 1MH The sweet spot seems around RAM + 1000 because higher can producs some incorrect shares. Linux power consumption is a tiny bit higher because i couldnt set a custom curve with lower voltage. After 100 send shares the rejected had been 2 to 3 %. 3060ti - MTP - Windows - custom curve - T-Rex 1815 Mhz - 0,875 --- 3885 kH/s - 185W / 21kH/W

Overclocking the memory by more than 1000 megahertz is already dangerous because it causes overheating and errors.

There are too much rejects. What type of memory do you have? You can also try to change core. Not only +. Sometimes -502 core gives the best result, it was so with some Micron memory 1660s, as i remember.

The rejects showed up when i started the miner. After 3 Mins no more rejects. I built it up on my desk without extra fans. So in the mining rig it should be better.

Not micron, -502 on HYNIX gives better hash rates

Is this exactly your model of GPU?
Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, 8GB, GAMING OC PRO - GV-N306TGAMINGOC PRO-8GD
I'm asking because I have the opportunity to buy one at a reasonably price, probably the last chance before end of the year (last weeks are almost impossible to buy here)
I saw Gigabyte launched the Eagle model with only 2 fans, didn't like this model 2 models of 3 fans and another model of Aorus (probably the best, but more expensive)

MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Gaming X Trio, 8GB GDDR6, HDMI, 3x DP (V390-010R)
Might be i got 1 damaged, or RAM Pads not sitting well.
0: Msi RTX 3060 Ti 8GB 94.04.27.80.45 Bus id: 02:00.0 Msi RTX 3060 Ti 8GB
GPU Bios: 94.04.27.80.45 1560/7300 55.55 MH/s 119 W 45°C / 30%
1: Msi RTX 3060 Ti 8GB 94.04.27.80.45 1365/7300 55.56 MH/s 119 W 45°C / 30%
2: Msi RTX 3060 Ti 8GB 94.04.27.80.45 1530/7300 55.55 MH/s 119 W 43°C / 30% Will check it and might return GPU 1. The settings are just to test. Over 60 MH/s are easy.
Have Gainward GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Phoenix GS, 8GB GDDR6, HDMI, 3x DP (2256) incomming.
I wouldnt buy the ASUS TUF. Its got only 1 x 8 Pin. Enough for ETH, but MTP will burn the riser.
@sakmsb 3060ti the core is well controled with the powertarget. Even 100 Watt is possible. It looks like the 3060ti is the master of Hash/watt/price ration. I would avoid GDR6X. My 3080 is nice to game, but even watercooled the RAM seems to get really hot.

Yeah always 2 power connectors, 1 only is not good. GDRX6 does almost double, requires double more cooling or must be a very good bin to contain the heat. Density is always better but in this case I have to agree with you, the 3060ti seems slightly better than 3080.

I had only 1080ti with 2x8 pin and never had problems with riser. What energy consumption do you plan for mtp? 1070ti, P104-100 used about 170Wt sometimes with 1x8 pin and never got trouble.

Did you ever mine MTP algo? It can take the whole powerlimit. It depends on the GPU Bios how much is taken of the Mainboard....

MTP, kawpow, octopus... I`m choosing powerlimit by myself, not algo decides it for me. Right now i mine 160Wt at P104-100 ETH, tomorrow i can mine MTP and set PL to 120Wt. So important electricity consumption but not algo. That`s why i asked how much Watts your GPU uses.

@mak013 Sorry, but I dont want to start a discussion about this. I just wanted to share some Hashrates to inform.
But you cant compare a RAM bandwith algo like ETH with a GPU powerhungry algo like MTP. Setting the powerlimit for MTP too low results in a dramatically reduced gpu core and 50% lower core results in 50% less hash for MTP.

Great write up and thanks for sharing...Have you tried any other algos? Seems the consensus is that for ETH the 5700 XT and and the 3060ti are pretty close, but I'm curious is the 3060ti able to outperform the 5700 XT on other hashrates? Maybe Zhash, KawPow, EquihashZero and CuckooCycle?

So I have the aorus 3060ti a card that is supposed to be a bit higher quality then the op's I suspect that I am just paying for a cool little programable lcd screen that most likely will only help me when I resell it. I also get a four year warranty with it.
So I have simple miner os.
I set
core + 10 which gives me a 1425 core memory +2200 which gives me a 7900 memory watts 125
I am getting 60.27 mhs
580 shares 0 rejects but that counts my 3080 and my 1660ti
179 of those shares are from the 3060ti 0 rejects running 1 hour and 5 minutes.
I will bump memory till I get rejects.
so 125 watts 0 rejects and 60.27 mh
when I drop to 115 watts card is like fuck you
I may be able to drop setting to 120 watts. I just bumped card to
core set to +10 1425 core ram set to +2300 7950 ram watts set to 125
hash 60.66 no rejects
decided to go higher
core set to +10 gives a 1425 core ram set to +2800 gives a 8200 ram equals ops highest setting watts set to 125
62.25 mh so far no rejects . Since I am not sure of peak ram setting for this particular ram I will leave it be. at 8200
getting 62.25 for 125 watt setting makes card a bit nicer then a good and 5700xt
Not a lot but it also has a 4 year warranty which is quite nice.
this rig has
1660ti 3060ti 3080
does 185mh and states in simple mining os it does 452 watts at the meter it actuating does 412 watts which is really good for 185mh
did a hard reboot and the 3060ti is tossing rejects like mad so a 8200 ram is too high for my card. just like the op's
core+10 gives me 1425 reading seems stable ram +2600 gives me 8100 reading seems stable watts 125 hash 61.32mh
16 shares no rejects

After 17000 Shares i can tell: 1 Gainward max Ram is 7800. (+2000) 1 Gainward max Ram is 7900. (+2200) I didnt set it higher because the first failed to do more and they the same. The difference (200 RAM) is 0.7 MH/s so i stayed there. 1 Gigabyte Aorus running at 8000 now. (61.05 MHs) 2 MSI Gaming X Trio running at +2200. I didnt boost them higher. Will do it when the Aorus is stable for a few more 1000 hashes. The absolute best !!! and i cant say more - and deepest respect - to inform is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9N4_dMHpu1I

Been an AMD guy since I started mining ETH back in 2015...finally picked up a 3060ti (ASUS Tuf) and pretty impressed. Setting up linux was a bitch...reminded me of the early days with all the X server crap needed to run nvidia-settings...AMD drivers are way ahead of Nvidia on linux, but these cards are amazing out of the box...hitting 62.5 stable on this @130 watts. Definitely better than 5700s with ~58MH @140 watts and a shit tone of BIOS tweaking to get them there and not as stable. Now need to figure out how to undervolt these on linux
