How merit sources use their sourced merits in 2020

• According to the forum stat center and the merit sources page, specifically, there are 97 merit sources on the forum.
• With my Merit source observations, the number of merit sources and sourced merits monthly don't change in many months (since May 2020).
• It relates to the re-allocations of sourced merits last year. I already analysed it in Chronological changes of top 200 merit receivers / senders since Jan 2018
• The sent merits here are from sourced merits and earned merits

• It is a demo version, and each month I listed to 15 receivers (to save space and avoid character limits).
• I will let the topic open for community ideas and if there are interests, I will update with more cases.

No problem. It is a default separated line by 5 observations. I can customize it to 10, 15 or other values.

Holy crap, I thought there were at least 120 merit sources--of course, I haven't been paying much attention to that statistic in the last two years, but weren't there a lot more sources than 97 at one point?

I'm interested in your data presentation, OP.  I think it's interesting to look at when there's not much else to do and I'm stuck inside, hiding away from COVID-19.  Personally, 2020 was probably a very mediocre year for me at best as a merit source.  I had some months when I gave out tons and others where I got very lazy.  

My new year's resolution is to do better as a merit source (though I think I said the same thing in 2019).  Lol.

Damn right I missed it--I was stupidly skimming OP's text, which I've picked up the bad habit of doing.  Thanks for the kick in the butt and the info.  I knew we had a lot more merit sources before.  What the hell happened?

Inactive merit sources were removed but the problems come from this. The rest merit sources have been allocated more smerits monthly and something is bad since late of 2019.

Sources give more merit in values or in intensity to lower quality posts. At least it is my feeling and I could be wrong.

As I raised my opinion months ago that after the reallocation of merit distributions to merit sources, I felt people (not only merit sources) are more easily to send sMerit away. I don't call it as abuse but there are low quality posts which should not receive merit. I also see many merit sprees for nothing.

And fix it. I did not see how annoying it is (especially on mobile) before I made the update. I did not notice it honestly so I thank you LoyceV.
