If i am not wrong then they are controling the number of active players from their admin panel. Honest gambling platforms use their live data but website like this one usually show this kinda selfmade stats to attract gamblers.

The conversation is enough proof that they are scammers. The website itself does not seem like a sure scam to me. Based on the layout and games, you can not just conclude its a 100% scam.
There are tons of sites using such fake amounts that users have won.
I don't think you can call it a scam based on that information, but I agree that it is misleading. I hope that friend did not deposit $ 3000, otherwise he would have lost it.

This is known scam strategy use  in telegram , they will send you message privately and offer things like that you can win by its help which is not true. There are many times have I received the same  message on the telegram before even in 2018. I don't have idea how but they also have many telegram account to send in different users .
