Where can I post about my new trading calculator website?

Hi!

I have built a new website that I think a lot of traders here on the forum would appreciate. It's a trading profit calculator.

It's 100% free to use and no sign up or registration is required.

Am I allowed to post it somewhere on the forum? For example in the services sub-forum? Or is all kind of promotion prohibited?

Trading discussions will be the best board to post about trading calculator, provided if it is not a malacious site. As the name implies, it deals about how traders can calculate their profit or lose in which the calculator will be used for the calculation. Which means it is about trading, and trading discussions will be good.

If leverage (margin and future) trading calculator is included will also be good.

Yes it's ok as long as it's on topic and no referral link involve in your post . For advertisement I think it's ok you are given others a favor that can help them in their daily trading strategies.

In my opinion  it's should not be in trading discussion I think you need to make your own announcement thread in altcoin service  section if you are going to post details about your website and how other can use it not in discussion.

In addition don't make too many post for the same topic in different section . Just choose section what you think it's fitted.

I think it would be better if you start to post this website in "Service Announcements" along with the altcoin announcement section as suggested above.

Then if you want to promote your website and thread put them in your signature is enough to promote them but if you want to advertise here on the forum then check the theymos post from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5293738.0

Thanks for your advice! I will start on the Service Announcements part of the forum then. That feels safe.

Just  create an Announcement thread for your trading calculator website since you're offering service then put it on the suggested section above. Just indicate your service overview and never put referral link in there.

It will be against the rule if you post the link of your website in different thread just to promote it since it will fall under spamming.

If it's still developing, you may post it in the "Project Development" section of the forum and once it is complete, you can then move it to Service Announcements (or Service Discussions is fine too). One more thing, if it has altcoin based prices too, I believe it'll probably be the best to take it to Service Announcements (Altcoins).

Thanks for the advice! The tool does not contain prices of any coin, but it's a calculator where the users can estimate how much they can make from daytrading crypto, no matter which coin they will trade. Do you still think it's suitable in the Service Announcements (Altcoins) thread?

You should still go for Project Development section tbh, and I believe that the mods will simply move it to the correct section that seems fit to them for your thread. Your project seems a bit confusing to me (in terms of where to move it towards), but as it's a project only, the Project Development seems to me to be the right place as of now.

No,you can post your link on the topic the only thing is not allowed is referral which i don't think your website have it .

You can post it in trading discussion at the same time you can make your own announcement thread just make it different from what will you post in trading discussion.

I watched the video with the description and couldn't understand the service? Why does the user manually adjust the options and if so, what are the factors that determine profit and loss in a highly volatile market (is it historical data or a specific algorithm that the user must follow?)

In short, your site is a service, so Service Announcements will be appropriate. (you can report your topic to mods to choose the best board)
