DRUG ABUSE, CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS

      There are various causes of drugs abuse. Drug abuse can be blaimed on parents, friends and society at large. Most drug addicts blame it on the following:,
  
       Lack of Parental Supervision
Parents have a important role to play in their child's upbringing.they serve an important purpose by instilling some good etiquette and cool values in them through socialization at early age they should ensure that their children are upright and they do not engage in social vices.
However in the modern world, parents have put their professional lives ahead of their families and delegated the role of raising children to nannies, as a result of that, the children do not acquire much needed guidance on life's issues and many end up taking drugs through peer pressure. Lack of supervision from parents who pursue their careers at the expense of their families can therefore be blaimed for high number of drug abuse cases among teenagers. Parents should supervise their children.
          
            Mental and physical abuse
  With my little knowledge domestic Violence and abuse has been one of the most common triggers of drug abuse.when people are emotionally or physically abused and they do not seek help they may engage in drugs to help them forget their problems. Many opt to try drugs which they percieve will distort reality and make them forget their concerns.
  However, victims are unaware that use of drugs increases their problems since it leads to addiction which have to be treated. Publicizing abuse, passing touch laws and offering free help to  victims will help reduce abuse cases and thereby reduce drug use cases.
        
           Media Influence
 The media has a lot to contribute, they're a major causaulity drug abuse especially regarding drugs like alcohol and tobacco. The media makes it appear cool and accepted to use such drugs through flashy advertisement. However less emphasis placed on adverse effects, hence teenagers are influenced to use them without enough information on repercussions faced due to drug use.this leads to addiction and by the time they realize they can't do without the drugs.

     Academic Setbacks
 Sudden drop of grades without clear reasons may indicate drug use, this may be linked to missing of classes, when taking drugs or harmful effects of drugs which affect the brain and cause poor academic performance. This behavior is usually accompanied by disrespect for school authorities and fellow students.

Common knowledge starts at home. If the parents are responsible enough to educate their kids about how badly will affect their bodies through abusing drugs, from the very start they wouldn't dwell themselves into usage.

But it's hard to fight the influence mostly from influential people and the media. That's one of the biggest influencers today, kids are more into gadgets and everything they see on the web, they'll think that it's ok and common.

I agree with you that parental supervision is the most important aspect if trying to avoid drug abuse and long term addiction. In my opinion a good parental advise is to work towards understanding of your children. They need to know what drugs do to a person and what the long term effects are. If you only say that drugs are bad and prohibit your kid from using them, he might be tempted to experiment in university or college.

One major problem of parental care is the fact that, most parents leave the up bringing of their wards to their various institutions of learning. They tend to forget they are the first people a child is to look up to most especially from a very tender age. If the parents aren't reflecting what they hope the child to learn then, it all ends in disaster.

They tend to Blame everything and everyone but the problem is They become addicted because of their own mistake,Seeking for things that they don't have and cannot have at that certain time,and instead of Making way to achieve them they choose to Hate the world for that and in the coming time Seek pamper in Vices such Alcohol,cigarettes and drugs.

Ofcourse.
Many get attached to certain substances to always feel better or happy. I think they can only experience genuine and long lasting happiness by consuming/doing good things that makes them happy.  Stop Feeding your minds with bad information that makes you feel bad, guard your mind, read the Holy Bible always, eat healthy/moderately, fast, exercise/work-hard, live a selfless/moderate lifestyle, etc

Certain factors can affect the likelihood and speed of developing an addiction:
- Family history of addiction. Drug addiction is more common in some families and likely involves genetic predisposition.
- Mental health disorder.
- Peer pressure.
- Lack of family involvement.
- Early use.
- Taking a highly addictive drug.

there are various causes, reasons why a person can approach drugs such as abuse of all kinds, disappointments in love, at work, family quarrels, getting fat but everyone should think twice before starting, quitting is not easy at all

Yeah.. I agree with you with the following points. Parents, peer group (friends) and  the society at large indeed have a roll to play on how a child behave.
Because I know of a 5yrs old little girl, my neighbor's daughter, who finds it very  difficult  to say "Am Sorry" and yet the parents don't do anything about it,  and if she happens to grow up with that attitude, I bet you, it will be too late for her..
