Well I don't know anything any the new world order using cov19 to kill thousands of people from different countries so that digital currency can be recognized, I don't see things that way, if I can remember correctly the pandemic affected everything including crypto, people actually thought crypto bubble would burst, the panic of bubble burst and of cos cov19 makes many dumped bitcoin to stay alive and yes crypto gets more exposure in the process, how is this a new world order thing?

New world order aims is all about taking mass control over humans but not with crypto, bitcoin for example is fully decentralized and also many other crypto coins, the new order involvement with digital currency is just a big fat lie, even if CBDC becomes active it will present every fiat of each countries, U.S CBDC won't be the same with China CBDC and also other countries, how will new order take control?   Grin Grin

There is no and it will never happen. Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies can't be a substitution for the money in the future. Crypto can be considered as digital money. This will co-exist with the fiat money in the future.
Crypto offers the feature that didn't owned by the fiat money.
Im not feeling pessimistic but it's not likely to happen for sure.

It will come but its too early to say that there will be one world currency. Though we are seeing a great development from Bitcoin, we can still say that it is in the early state. The first thing will happen will be the cashless system, its going to be the preparation for a one currency system. In my country, leaders are planning to partner with the local wallets to implement cashless transaction. One thing is for sure,a new system will come that will make the traditional store of money will no longer exists because of the Blockchain breakthrough.

There will never be a single world currency unless it can somehow be fragmented so that China, USA and all the other large powers will be able to choose their own rules. Unless that happens, China will never allow an American CBDC to dominate the world and vice-versa. They either all have the control handle or the party crashes.

This is one of the reasons Bitcoin won't be a global success. Some leaders don't like not having control over supply and finance (for some good and bad reasons) and they'll never substitute their centralized currency with something they can't control.

Currently different countries has embarked and some embarking on research in finding a good alternative for the present fiats which seem obsolete. So, with countries like this there won't going to be a single world currency, unlike the world never operated a single fiat currency. Bitcoin won't be the world currency but basically will remain as the world first digital currency or might be the world reserve currency.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies aren't created to substitute fiat money, but it can be owned by anyone and can be used to purchase anything as long as the merchant have allowing Bitcoin and cryptocurrency payment and the country aren't banning it.

I don't think Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies can be one world digital currency since many countries still banning them [1] It's to far to thinking about that, at first we need all countries not to ban Bitcoin.

Sometimes I wonder where the One World Currency or (One World Digital Currency) theory really came from. It's definitely not from the Holy Bible because there is nothing about one world currency in there. I don't see how a single world currency can be properly enforced through out the world. Or maybe they mean "One Global Currency plus national currencies?
If people understood what "currency" means they will probably understand that multiple currencies will always exist.

I am sure that nothing will change when China fully launches its digital yuan and it will not be able to affect the dollar in any way. In any case, the digital dollar will inherit the leading role of the dollar when it is released. While the digital yuan will inherit all the disadvantages of a centralized management system.

Cryptocurrency is becoming a trend despite the shock of the COVID-19 pandemic. This actually raises a conspiracy regarding the possibility of changes in the financial world to use digital currency as one of the goals of the New World Order or the global elite.

COVID-19 itself has had an impact on worsening economies in many countries. But is there an adaptation of one world currency? Can Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies be a substitute for money in the future?

No I don't think that will be possible. In the crypto space, Bitcoin is highly regarded because of its value which of course makes it the best coin, not only that, its features such as decentralization also makes it to stand out, thus, since Bitcoin is totally decentralized it will not be possible for any government to surrender its power to it and adopt it as their sole currency; doing this will mean the death of that country's fiat.
However, from another angle, every country have their own fiat currencies which gives the government ultimate power to do whatever they want, so I do not think any government will ever allow any sort of One World Currency be it fiat or digital currency, this is because, doing this will mean that, the government has surrendered their powers to a group of individuals.
So looking at this case scenarios, I do not think there will be any sort of One World Digital Currency.

It will never be possible and this time any entities started to release their own digital currency. There will  be so many CBDC in the future. It's an impossible thing to happen for sure.
You should wake up from your sleep and see the reality.
one world digital currency is just a dream. So many parties in competition to make their own digital currency to be adopted by public.

We can observe and assume that by 2020 almost all of the world will experience a pandemic. It makes the world economy difficult and stagnant. Bitcoin has emerged as a savior in the financial economy market, it has a huge influence on the opinion of investors, helping investors. Investors can still get rich without having to contact each other or working in companies and factories. After this covid-19, Bitcoin will probably win the hearts of more people and will gradually become more popular in life.  not only countries but also governments will
 agree and use Bitcoin more.

Other countries may adopt and start their own digital currencies, and some are already taking a look at this adoption but let's not expect that there would be a one-world digital currency. Not all countries would agree to have a single currency, what more to the adoption of cryptocurrency when we can already see several countries do not have a positive perspective towards it. Even if it's gaining attraction lately, it's still not enough as the majority still don't know or have sufficient knowledge about crypto.

I think the biggest possibility is that there is an international currency that can be used wherever it will be born because it is needed to facilitate transactions
The currency in my opinion is very suitable is bitcoin or altcoin, in addition to high security, bitcoin has many more advantages than others

Bitcoin is the only currency that has been working so far that's widely and generally accepted as settlement between parties. No any other centralized world currency that would work because of our differences. Though, USD has been generally working as global internet money but still there is restriction in other countries.
Why I said it will not work, Africa is an example. Ecowas tried to launch a currency that will be accepted by the members of her countries, it died even before they continue. Talk more of worldwide, do you think North Korea will accept that?
Definitely no.

The world has been in partial friendship and for anyone to come up with this idea of the world have one currency won't work. Though, there might be another digital currency which can be a world reserve currency but this may be long before the world agree for a single coin to be use. Bitcoin has proven beyond all doubt that it can help the world solve it problem economically because of it limited in supply. Countries will definitely have their own coins.
^ each country will definitely have its own cryptocurrency. If the digital yuan is a big success in the Chinese market then surely other countries will start to follow China, especially countries that have a debt to China.

Cryptocurrencies is the next step to the new globalization.

Banks and governments leave, and everything will be better with the internet of easy things.

I think that Bitcoin will only be digital gold, altacoins are the ones that will have real life use and what Bitcoin needs to shine.

My answer is NEVER!
Why do people have the same absurd view that Bitcoin will be replaced by fiat money? Obviously, you guys don't really understand fiat money yet and guys are underestimating it.

You know that in order to change one currency must be overcome so many barriers of both economic and political? I highly recommend that you read about the meaning of fiat money in the article below and give your own answer.  Smiley

COVID-19 itself has had an impact on worsening economies in many countries. But is there an adaptation of one world currency? Can Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies be a substitute for money in the future?
I would like to see bitcoin as the one digital currency for the world but then there are limitations because each country has their own regulations and rules about the digital currencies and also they want to completely own and control the national digital currency so that is why we are seeing this new trend of official digital cureency for each country.

I am sure that nothing will change when China fully launches its digital yuan and it will not be able to affect the dollar in any way. In any case, the digital dollar will inherit the leading role of the dollar when it is released. While the digital yuan will inherit all the disadvantages of a centralized management system.
The USA will release a digital currency of its own soon enough, so will Europe and Russia. It's a dream come true for a totalitarian lover, and what makes it worse is that people will love the new, way more convenient currency they're coming up with. A digital currency has been worked on for many years in different parts of the world, and all those digital fiat coins will be just as centralized as China's.

No I don't think there will be a single world currency ever.

A group of countries could decide to form a union and use the same digital currency just like the EU did with Euro but even some of the Eu states broke the agreement and continued to use their own currencies. Making whole world decide on a common goal would require an extraterrestrial threat.

In my opinion, it is impossible for adaptation to become one world currency, because some countries do not want to lose
their national currency. Moreover, their fiat currency will be replaced with cryptocurrencies that cannot be controlled, I am
sure that will not happen. What might happen is that cryptocurrency will co-exist with fiat currency, this is more likely and
acceptable.

Never. No large nation will willingly give up its currency and thus monetary policy to some outside nation. The Euro works because each member nation has delegates in Brussels, but such a thing couldn't work for crypto. Just another pipe dream

No one can predict the future of Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies price same as we can't conclude if there will be a one world currency or not because currently as I see, no government will be willing to lose control on the market and financial circulation over their citizens.  Furthermore, it is far from the reality that all the countries will be united and sovereignty will be dispersed equally to every government.

In simple words like China and the USA, they will not allow that the currency they initially owned will no longer consider as solely and exclusive to their territory instead it will be replaced by a digital currency that is owned by no one and will be used in all part of the world in which they will totally lose control over it.  One thing we can be sure of is that cashless transactions will be accepted globally or worse might be implemented as a law in the mere future.

EURO should be on the different case but this time even more and more companies wanna try to create their own stable coin and remember BCDC will be starting to be adopted massively by a lot of nations too.
It's an impossible thing to see that the one currency will be used by all of parties.

Bitcoin couldn't be the best candidate as a new payment method because of its limited payment characteristic like fiat value; however, it can become a better store of value. New world order means new system and it is needed perhaps not on the conspiracy basis but the idea of imminent global financial crisis although the impact  has not yet manifested but the probability is so high. It can be observable through recent global events (covid-19) and despite development of vaccine, economy will shrink and as of now, it is not yet at its peak.

Bitcoin was created for something like this, the future of Bitcoin will continue,
the Bitcoin use case is also increasingly visible, many institutions are using bitcoin now,
and there is a high probability that the US Dollar will be replaced by Bitcoin
bitcoin will be major cryptocurrency but not as the only coins that used or accepted in the world. there are many developers from any countries developt their own cryptocurrency, and i am doubt it will replace US Dollar in finance system. US Dolar and Bitcoin have same position their own market , and bitcoin need to do more thing to be accepted ass USD.

Bitcoin may be the one world currency the Bible talks about that will manifest during the terror reign of the antichrist from the way things are going. There is an outbreak of coronavirus that has lasted a year now yet Bitcoin has continued to get more value. More people are transferring their cash to buying bitcoin because it is safe haven.

Cryptocurrencies is the next step to the new globalization.

Banks and governments leave, and everything will be better with the internet of easy things.

I think that Bitcoin will only be digital gold, altacoins are the ones that will have real life use and what Bitcoin needs to shine.
The real situation should not be so neglected.  Banks and governments are not going anywhere.  Cryptocurrency will never dominate the financial world.  Now almost every cryptocurrency is global, since it has the ability to go around the world.  However, at the state level, the cryptocurrency will not be used as a global one.  They will have their own central bank stablecoins, various regional stablecoins.  A global single currency can hardly be expected, since large states will always fight for spheres of economic influence and wage trade wars among themselves.

No one knows the truth later, but I personally think the two will go hand in hand and can be used for buying and selling transactions.
Bitcoin or other crypto is just an alternative to fiat but will not completely eliminate or replace fiat, fiat currency is an irreplaceable symbol of a country.
and to use digital currency must be supported by a very strong internet network, especially in remote areas and not necessarily everyone can use it, but I don't know the future and it is still impossible for me personally.

This is funny because one currency for the entire world is not gonna be possible. Even cryptocurrencies has so many tickers out there and moreover people are smart enough to think that if we only have one currency then it means centralized power.

This conspiracy about one currency is hilarious tbh.

How can a country's budget be accepted and distributed using cryptocurrency? Such a budget can only be accepted in the national currency or the national digital currency, which must be centralized. And in case of insufficient funds to fulfill the expenditure part, a decision is made on the issue of money.

But is there an adaptation of one world currency? Can Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies be a substitute for money in the future?
Money ≠ currency.
Currencies are controlled by governments, therefore, if you want this "one world currency," the "one world order" thing must exist.
The good thing is, money is more universal. Gold, for example, is valuable everywhere.

Bitcoin is money (IMO) not sure about other cryptos.

I never thought that Bitcoin would replace fiat in the future, because Bitcoin was made only for digital currency and as a temporary payment intermediary, and not only that Bitcoin in some countries was not allowed to use Bitcoin until recently, so how could Bitcoin be? replacing fiat because it is very difficult to do, but if it happens it will take a very long time and will be a very complicated debate in the government.

It's an illusion to even think that there will come a time when there'll be one universal cryptocurrency used worldwide, or to think crypto will ever replace FIAT. Let's assume there is going to be a currency used universally worldwide, it's never going to be any existing cryptocurrency. The world powers understand the risk involved in doing such, hence I doubt if it will ever be obtainable.

Though Covid is not enough for that to happen and also There are so many things and factor that must be Answered and fill before the Change in Financial world happens in favor of Bitcoin.

Substituting Fiat won't happen any time soon.Instead what should be the question is Will Bitcoin be Acknowledge worldwide to At least be the Support in the cause of financial problem and economic failure.

Well we are not sure in the future actually there's no assurance that it could be or it could not but right now it looks like Bitcoin was being accepted by big companies already and it's just a matter of time before everyone accepts it so Bitcoin was more likely close on being the world digital currency.

Bitcoin can be one world currency in the future, but all governments must agree to use bitcoin as their money, which I don't think will be easy for them to accept bitcoin. Every country wants to have its own digital money, so there will be a competition between each country to be the number one currency used for another country.

In my opinion, making cryptocurrency the only currency in the world in the near future is almost impossible. In fact, a pandemic has the potential to cause decoupling, which means that there is deglobalization. All focus on the recovery of their respective countries.

One world currency sounds to good to be true, almost impossible because each country has their own financial structure and political philosophy, the Euro currency is very much different, I doubt if that possible for one world to have one currency, much more using Bitcoin as the one currency.

I don't think bitcoin can be a substitute for money in the future all over the world some countries can adopt this but it cannot be a world thing. But the fact still remains it is another means of exchange possessing the feature of money entails.

So many times people said about the possibility for bitcoin to be the only one digital currency but it will not happen. The fiat and digital money will always there. Bitcoin itself can be considered as a store of value rather than a payment system consider the majority of people have bought bitcoin to be used as their investment and that's their main intention owned some btc.

This was just discussed last month on another thread? As it was believed by many and as the economy demands it, there will not be a one world digital currency. This is just simply stuff of conspiracies and world control. It defeats the very purpose of why cryptocurrency was created, so that it will be decentralized and deregulated. No one powerful entity will be able nor capable of controlling cryptocurrencies and become a dominant force in cryptocurrency.

Logically speaking, Bitcoin cannot replace the role of money in the world in the main, but if we look at the features available in Bitcoin, then it can be a good choice for payment in other options, and it can also be run simultaneously with the role of real money.

There is no doubt that after COVID-19, the demand for digital currency is increased, and most counties think of avoiding paper currency and want to launch their own digital currency. Still, you can't be a one-world digital currency that will control the world because every country will launch its own digital currency with its rules, and Bitcoin is Decentralized and can't control by any country.

although it might happen in the future but I personally am still not sure if cryptoqurrency can replace fiat currency or be like paper currency. While the crypto market is unregulated and prices are also unstable, on the other hand there are still many countries or governments that do not support crypto.

to become a substitute for the main currency is still difficult because it requires approval from the regulations of many countries ... but to get profit from bitcoin will still happen and this is useful to help the economy during the Covid 19 pandemic because people have bitcoin

In the future there is a big possibility that crypto will fully replace fiat but with regards to your question, I am doubtful that there will be one world digital currency to happen because it is very difficult to unite all the governments around the world to create or accept this one currency.

I am predicting that most of the country will make their own currency that will be use by their people in their daily transactions and their value will vary the same to how the fiat value works. Bitcoin is the king of crypto currencies but still, I am not 100% confident that it can unite the whole world to accept it as world digital currency.

In my opinion, this is never gonna happen. For example,is it possible that one day every country in the world will use the dollar, or some other name of legal tender, the only possibility is the countries in the earth is united as one country.

It is already a substitute for some merchants but not all. The pandemic seemingly became an opportunity for merchants to adopt it but due to how unstable the price is, they might find it hard to adopt it.
Plus asking for the number one world digital curency? I don't think we'll have one.

As there is no one world Fiat currency, there will be none for digital currency. In case it is eventually adopted, each country will have its own as it is presently.

It is too early to make Bitcoin or cryptocurrency the world currency because not all countries legalize Bitcoin and crypto as a payment method. This is actually a very interesting idea, but unfortunately, it may not work well right now. Each country may be considering using their digital currency or event creating its own CBDC than using Bitcoin. We know that official currency in a country must be regulated and they cannot regulate Bitcoin. That is why it is too difficult.

Hi,

I believe that the financial issue or digital currencies will continue to grow and little by little some countries will begin to obtain by not using physical money, for example Sweden is already in that line.

I think that first electronic methods such as credit cards will continue to be used and later cryptocurrencies could enter fully legally in the most developed countries since this implies very clear rules to avoid illegal implications in the use of cryptocurrencies.

I leave you a post on how Sweden is doing with this.

controlling Bitcoin is an impossible job, it will never be possible...
every country making its own cryptocurrency is a very big possibility in the future. many countries will definitely make strict rules against other cryptocurrencies so that they can spread their own cryptocurrency in their respective countries.

I do not think that payments in the national digital currency will be any different from payments by credit card, so they will not become something noticeable for people. The main advantages will be given to the government, in connection with full control over its citizens. So it's no surprise that China is one of the first countries to test CBDC.

As far as I know blockchain system still stucks on scalability. Popular coin like BTC and ETH struggling a lot when there's overflow of transactions and that's already a proof. Can't imagine if the entire world sending transaction at the same time, the fee gonna be whooping high despite ethereum 2.0's sharding.

It's still lacking and insufficient to replace the current centralized traditional money but as the time goes it's gonna be capable. It's just matter of time really and I disagree that it gonna be One World Digital Currency or whatever it is, I can't see it happening.

This is my question, whether the Bitcoin concept that has been made so far aims to become a digital currency that will be used throughout the world, even though this is just my speculation for that I ask why Bitcoin exists today, even exceeding the price of all investment tools, especially gold, if there is no such purpose, if there is a mistake, please correct it with your speculation.

Everything is coming to this, sooner or later the single currency will appear. In Europe, in the middle of the XIX century, there was a monetary system with this principle: several European countries issued gold coins that had different designs and different names of monetary units, but were absolutely identical in weight and samples. So it will be with cryptocurrency.

I doubt if we will have one world currency. Many countries will refuse the idea of a single world currency. Instead, I guess many countries have their own digital currencies as China does with Digital Yuan currency. Regarding Bitcoin or other crypto coins, they are possible to be the world currencies, but they seem not to substitute the national currencies of each country in the world.

There is no need to overestimate the potential of conspiracy theories, one world currency is only possible under the single government. Since gold agreements among G8 countries, the gold standard has been approved as the main reserve for Us currency. BTC has no such fundamental potential, unfortunately.  The governments have the big plans for beating the independent crypto ecosystem because any kind of freedom without their allowance is a dangerous threat to existence.

Agree, besides that bitcoin also does not have enough credibility to become a strong currency used by all people in the world, there is still a lack of knowledge and also a lack of regulation which means it can hinder bitcoin steps. on the other hand, gold has long been a measuring instrument of exchange around the world

I do not think that so many countries around the world will agree on this point though the concept of single global digital currency sounds awesome but i think that countries will prefer their own national digital currencies so that they have full control over it.

As one of the early adopter of Cryptocurrency, we all want or dreaming Bitcoin to reach greater heights like making it the One World Digital Currency but it's not easy and a realistic view of the concept is not likely to happen at this point in time, even if we do not admit it the government wants to control and they want centralization, something that Bitcoin cannot bring.
I don't know how's it's going to happen there will be a revolutionary structure for them to achieve Bitcoin.

There is a very huge possibility that countries in the whole world will accept and adopt bitcoin and  cryptocurrencies as part of the mode of payment seeing that it is more convenient, less hassle and it is a contactless transaction which the world using right now in avoiding covid-19. I can see a very bright future that sooner or later almost all the countries will finally uses cryptocurrencies.

This is a pretty tough question, but if bitcoin continues, I think it could happen. however, we have seen that in the midst of this pandemic, the price of bitcoin continues to grow. In fact, many people are suggesting learning about cryptocurrency at this point because it could help stop covid transmission. after all, cryptocurrency pretty much solves the problem. it's just that, there are still quite a number of people who don't share the same opinion. however, whether this can be a substitute or not, it still has a vague answer.

At the moment, there are really no coins that can handle the billions of transactions that can occur in the event of mass adoption of cryptocurrencies. However, I am sure that such coins will appear as soon as the popularity of cryptocurrencies increases. Ethereum 2.0 provides Sharding, which can give good speeds with minimal commissions. I hope that in the future we will see how this technology will work.

it is possible that if the currency does not exist it will be replaced by gold, because before getting to know currency, gold or silver was first, while bitcoin is likely to be difficult to become a currency

Bitcoin is difficult to become one world digital currency because of government regulations, many do not agree that Bitcoin is used as a currency. But lately I have seen a lot of developed countries accept Cryptocurrency payments and I think this is an advance in the Crypto world, I still hope that someday, Bitcoin will truly become one world digital currency.

The fact Cryptocurrency has a bright future cannot be overemphasized. But it becoming the basis for a one world currency seem to me like a mere fantasy. Who controls it will be a major reason why it will not be globally. The world power nations will not want to submit control to each other. I see impossibility in this one.

This is next to impossible mate,Because every country has their deciding currency and even that bitcoin becomes adopted worldwide in don't think that all the countries around the world will do the same,Surely soem will use other altcoins and America has PayPal so why crypto when they are always wanted to be original and different.
COVID-19 itself has had an impact on worsening economies in many countries. But is there an adaptation of one world currency? Can Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies be a substitute for money in the future?
Substitution for Money in several countries might considerable like Venezuela that wanted to be adopting crypto to become their currecncy.
But total replacement of Fiat worldwide will never happen, not unless the world will have single leader things that also impossible to happen.

Of course, there are a number of projects that offer sharding and I think we already know the direction. maybe it only takes time for the developers to develop the technology, and I think with the many projects now offering pretty good scalebility, I think we'll find something pretty good maybe in the next year.

The main problem with Sharding is that quite a few nodes provide validation and this has a very bad effect on the security of transactions. The new Ethereum network already has a lot of nodes, which means that there will be sufficient security in sharding.

The question of having one world digital currency has been discussed before on this forum and having one world digital currency is not possible.
1) the government stance towards the Libra coin and its executives is evidence.
2) The IMF's suggestions to the governments were each country having its own digital currency not one world digital coin.
3) The rules and regulations of every country are not the same things.

There is already a currency that should be considered a global currency and that’s Bitcoin, it’s free to be used by anyone around the world, no one is stopping you from making use of it except your government if they happens to say that crypto assets are illegal in the country, if not that then you’re free to make use of it.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and has been a really useful means for cross border transactions, and Ethereum is another one. All these cryptocurrencies are already global currencies, but they are not real currencies though, fiat still remains the real one and every has its own fiat.

Bitcoin is a great option at the moment. However, if we proceed globally when the cryptocurrency will be used by billions of people, we will need a coin with a much faster transaction speed.
Bitcoin at this time may well continue to remain as a reserve cryptocurrency-the digital equivalent of gold. But at the same time, to perform the main number of trading operations, we will need a faster coin.

I'd hazard a guess that people with a lot of power and a lot of influence would have a lot to say about a "world currency" having currencies backed by bitcoin as some (fewer than a hundred years ago) are by gold.

it is impossible for digital currencies to replace real currencies in the future Of course there will be a lot of clashes from several parties, My speculation is that digital currency will be used as a means of payment only as has been done in several developed countries

all of that might happen, considering we don't know what will happen in the future,
maybe this virus is making more and more people easily infected, and money paper is a means of spreading the virus,
of course only digital money can prevent it, maybe in the future Bitcoin will become one of the world's currencies.

COVID-19 itself has had an impact on worsening economies in many countries.
The economy in many countries is indeed experiencing an economic recession, also in my country.
It seems that my country has also printed a lot of money for various purposes such as to buy
very expensive vaccines and to make donations to its people, as many are excluded from work.
