how do we know they dont lia to us?


right now there are a lot news like big funds of the investment in bitcoin ? but how we know that actually they do this and the ammount they say they actually really do invest?  its like i can open comapany and announce i bought 500mil of btc or what ever i ...but nodbody dont ask me to proof right?
are those announcements and news are genuine? or just a fictions?
despite all those good announcements and news the btc price still not moves up a lot still low volume:(

That means you did not know that these institutions are responsible for the price increase of bitcoin from around $10000 to its all time high around $19980, they really significantly contributed to the price rally. It is clear, obvious and distinct that whales rallied the price to all time high recently.

Institutions has tried and also wishing a price above $20000. If there could be more institutions that can support and make the price increase above $20000, it will be good. The $20000 barrier is a price bitcoin is now facing strong resistance. People are afraid as it is also taking long for bitcoin to cross $20000 and selling bitcoin which is driving the price lower, but at $18000, the price is still good. If bitcoin can be able to increase above $20000, then we will be able to know if bitcoin will rally to $25000 or even more. $21000 support will make bitcoin rally to $25000 or higher.

Nope, they can't fake that, it is as true as it can get. Their addresses are well-known and these institutions know better than to fool everyone.

Especially if the company isn't public, sure they could lie, but why would they in the first place? Especially if a certain company is big enough in size to have it's name placed in a news headline, lying just for a bit of media publicity is definitely not worth it knowing the potential repercussions.

Why you not try it yourself before speculating? I believe you will got contacted tons mail ask about proof and got blackmailed too.

Both of them, you can't know it's real if they didn't showing the proof. If it's from big company, pretty sure it's real since the address are known used by them and anyone would ask to verify the owner of that address.

Of course you have to look at what company is making those announcement and jumping into bitcoin. And you have to think what incentives they will get if they lie to the public? They've released quarterly and monthly reports to their investors so sooner or later the smoke will come out.

Just because though that those statement are released means that you are going to and pump the market. Investors are now more intelligent as compare to 2017 bull run, wherein there are a lot of irrational buyers.

These companies have investors behind, and are subject to recurrent audits, where the purchases are going to be verified. It’s not very likely that they’ll make a public announcement in a terrain that is not tied to their core business, for a few minor headlines here and there, only to come out looking bad against their stakeholders for not being honest about it.

everything is about marketing, these companies want to gain attention, they will not risk lying for days after someone finds out and they have a dirty image. now there seems to be a big competition over which company has insured more bitcoin... it has become good marketing to attract more investors and have more credibility in that market

These are usually considered bullish news, so if there's anyone to profit off them, it's the institutions themselves from the future pump caused by their hype.

Announcing you've invested $50k of your funds in BTC as a company is one thing; announcing that you're investing a significant amount worth millions of dollars in BTC is a big risk no big name is willing to take. Imagine publicly announcing a fictive purchase of $100M worth of BTC and then IRS asking you where that money is being held. Nobody would be stupid enough to do that.

You don't need to purchase all those coins in an incrementally higher-priced bulk order. It could be a DCA that's been done over the past few months/years, an auction or a direct purchase that doesn't require a direct, visible influence over the prices. Purchasing $10M worth of BTC in a bulk order is a stupid idea, because all you'd really do is buying Bitcoin at an expensive price. The other option is to simply become a wall, but that could backfire on you. DCA or private purchase is the way to go for very large orders I guess.

Back when I used exchanges, I used to exchange alts to BTC in repetitive orders (say 0.01BTC/order). That way, I wouldn't become a wall nor did I have to purchase at incrementally higher prices.

Of course we cannot be 100% sure that they really have such number of Bitcoins in their wallets. There is nothing we can do about it. You can do that as well. You may say you have 1,000 Bitcoins but actually only has 1.

But who cares? If they find it satisfying to fool the people about their real Bitcoin portfolio then let them. They are actually fooling themselves more than others. What would they gain in doing that?

And if you really have 1,000 Bitcoins, would you care about what people are saying? Would you care to prove that you really have that huge amount of Bitcoin? For me, I don't. Let them doubt if they want to.

It's either we believed these kind of statement from company or not. We can't really proved or disapproved. But it's not that important I guess, still a win-win for bitcoin whichever way we look at it.

And the only one that they are going to fool here is not the crypto market, but the company themselves if they chooses to release such fake news in order to make the public believed that they have throw this x amount of millions to bitcoin market.

We don't know unless they tell us their wallet address and we can check it by ourselves. I don't think they will give the proof to the public since that is their secret. We could hope that they don't lie to us and they really interest in bitcoin. If that so, it could make the price moves up, and even if there is a correction, the price will be back to the high price. But we don't have to believe them if they say it like that because we are hard to know how much money they invest in bitcoin.

They bought by OTC not with Usdt or USDC.

Things work bit differently over here, I am sure institutions don't buy through exchange as they rather go OTC but it's the hype about their investment which pushes more mid level and average players to cashing in due to FOMO.

There is one more angle to look into it, I am sure not all the institutions or whales use one single address for investment, I feel they cash in when we least expect it and keep it as secret and the investment phase would be gradual in order to raise the value of Bitcoin gradually which pushes for more investment from normal user than a sudden pump. We are just seeing what they want us to see and belive they have their own secret strategy to keep us puzzled.
