What I'm really surprised by is when the ambulance people thought you had the flu and didn't realize you had a stroke. So a lot of people could get a stroke and not even know it. Did they know about your hand flopping around or any other symptoms or did you not think they were noteworthy initially, attributing everything instead to drinking a potentially spiked drink?

Well, I had thrown up the pint in my stomach hours ago, so my room smelled like alcohol.   I don't believe my hand was flopping around, but I remember it took me around four adjustments of my hand before I touched their signature pad with the pen.   My ECG (which they left behind) showed everything normal.  I was talking very slowly, but three paramedics left and told me to call a friend.  I was very confused and in no condition to question them.  :/

I had a stroke on February 16, 2019. It was an ischemic stroke on the right side of my brain. It paralyzed my left side, my leg and my arm. So now I'm taking statins every night to keep the bad cholesterol from building up in my blood. And also blood thinners like 100 mg of aspirin or 75 mg of clapidrogel. These are also called anticoagulants. Their main function is not to make the blood as fluid as water, but to inhibit the activity of coagulation hemostasis (blood clotting system) and prevent the formation of blood clots.

As mentioned, strokes are becoming more common nowadays - even among young people.

and we found out that he passed away 6 months ago due to what was suspected to be an aneurysm/severe stroke.

Tecshare got lucky and died from it.   Many others wake up and have to endure an increasingly uncomfortable life as you slowly lose the ability to move, go to the bathroom and even communicate.   My uncle is that way now - he had a stroke before I did.

Trolls will troll, but chances are this forum was only a small part of his life.  I'm not going to remember him as a troll, just someone with a poor taste in friends.  :/

Are we going to be honest now OG, or do we need more people to stroke out?

I am locking this thread.  Years from now, after I die, I don't want an idiot to post something like "Vod would agree (if he was able) that his stroke was caused by trying to feel superior."

Although I regret sharing private details that would later be twisted against me, I have to stand behind my rock solid record of trustworthiness on this forum.  I stand ready to accept the judgement of anyone who wants to read my book and hear my original, unedited story.
