Very clever trick, so just be careful and double check the Ripple website.

It is obvious what the real intention here, and since Ripple will have it's fork tomorrow, scammers are working very hard as well to register ripple names to carry their exploits.

I was just about to make a similar thread about that site when I found your topic.

The site is now hosting a fake incentivized community support program meant to support members of the XRP community. They claim that Ripple has set aside 5 Billion XRP to boost the economy. The real fun begins when users are instructed to whitelist their XRP addresses to receive an XRP airdrop ranging from 5-27%. I haven't checked what info they ask for, but I assume you need to download either a fake (malware-infested) software or enter your private keys somewhere as part of the whitelisting process.

^^ Thanks, yeah I do agree, websites asking for your 12 or 24 seed mnemonic phrase is a no-no. So I don't know why many are still falling for this kind of trick.

There are a lot of phishing sites right now, and there is spike using Ripple as the front because we all know that they have a fork (already completed by this time) and getting airdrop Spark token. So this is a clear warning specially for newbies to be very careful of this dangerous and malicious sites.

This has become a target for scamer where when there is a coin that can complete the fork the scamer will create a phishing site that is ready to be shared with all victims, but in the end you can catch the catch here which we know can help those who don't know that sites like this are indeed phishing to stimulate the seeds that you enter so be careful.

There will definitely be many more like this and not only this me with another name Ripple will also appear.

The important thing for scammers is that the coin has big news coming up, if they know about that coin in advance then they use that coin to scam. There is a lot of talk about Ripple in the crypto market right now, so scammers want to take advantage of the opportunity to fool new crypto users. I have received many emails in a few days with many tempting offers of ripple, since I know their purpose so I have been able to control myself.

Yet as a user you should know that something is wrong when you see .com.co

Now that Ripple is still on the rise, but with the Bitcoin they could harm many people. It is very good that this has been published.

well received email yesterday and got suspicious  as sender was "noreply@msg.schoolserv.in" .. so did some digging and check the procedure and on the claim page it was asking for private key and if you are in crypto for some time you know what it means to share such information. Very clever social engineering attack indeed.
