Yep. A easy red flag for those kinds of users(though not literally everyone, of course) are those with 250/500/1000 flat merits. Those who were early enough to be lucky to receive the merit airdrop, but never ever received an sMerit lol. What's funny is that a good number of those kinds of users were already here since around 2013; pretty much almost a decade of activity here but yet you don't see any improvement from them. It's mind boggling!

This is why I made a script for displaying earned merit, and now when I want to quickly scroll through a big topic and see if there's any good posts, I simply disregard anyone with a big gap between earned and total merit. I think gradually reducing the so-called airdropped merit and ranking down people who fail to meet the requirements would have helped a little bit with spam, because campaign mangers would only be able to enroll Hero/Legendary members who actually earned a lot of merit and are probably not shitposters.

What you just said is most appropriately true. The forum is filled with all type of members ranging from high ranked who make low quality posts to low ranked members who strive to make constructive posts. Some are here for money, some for knowledge and some for both. It depends on the individual though. What I like about this forum is there are a good number of people here who actively contribute towards the forum and help newbies to learn more. Besides, this is what one should do. Learn and let learn is the motive of many.
This is the best thing because this is how the right knowledge of bitcoin and the blockchain technology is spread throughout the world.

I agree with that. Personally, I'd love to see members without earned merits degraded to lower ranks, but I'm not sure if they'll ever do that. As for displaying earned merits, I use the BPIP Extension, and I can only say, thanks to suchmoon for that.

There are some managers who take earned merits as a requirement for accepting participants to campaigns, while on the other hand there are those who accept almost anyone without any criteria (I'm not going to call them here they can recognize themselves).

This forum is not all about earning cryptocurrencies by joining and participating in signature and bounty campaigns, airdrops, raffles, etc. because, to be honest, this forum helped me a long time ago when I was a newbie in this forum that it helped me to decide where and what can I do with my money, so I could invest and earn in cryptocurrency for my necessities. This is really good point here on this forum as its my second day and I am checking few things which are really good hopefully I will be able to have some more good ways of learning about many new things from here with the help of many experienced peoples around here full of energy to give good opinion to others.

That is the older members like hero and legendary and others( except the newbies who spam the forum). They always comment on a post if they have knowledge about it and suggest in a right way to the topic creator.

Well, not all the hero and legendary are the same because there are several accounts that have been made a long time ago where merit does not exist yet. Besides, there are still some users who have been merit trading just for them to rank up and if it happens you saw one, you should report it. But you must not only focus on higher ranks though because there are lower ranks that are overshadowed and also been providing a contribution.

They do not go out from the topic and only share that information which they experienced before or learn from anywhere.

And that is how the forum should work because several members are only here for profit. If you have knowledge that you think everyone doesn't know then share it because they will do the same. Exchange of everyone's knowledge is a good trade after all.

No doubt, this is the best thing to do rather than creating a topic that is already been discussed. After reading some articles you must support it with little research for you to be able to completely understand it.

Learning a new concept topic is something that is valuable and useful for you before answering or creating a new topic, The problem is that many beginners find it difficult to retain the information they have just learned by doing research and studying it well, without realizing he had already answered and made the same topic.

Basically if you already understand and research a concept, the point is that you have to understand the content of the topic and you can explain it to other members, so that other people can judge that you really understand and master what you learn on the topic, and vice versa the topic you just created.

Well, I think that's because that's how things should be. This is a place for discussion so when you have a knowledge about something, you should share about it so that others can learn from it, too. Those Hero/Legendary members are whom we can say that are more experienced here thus they know more especially about the technicalities. But they're not the only ones who can share valuable knowledge because, personally, I see lower ranks (lower than my rank) who has relevant and informative posts. With that, I think it's just safe to say that the rank doesn't tell all about the knowledge a forum member can give.
