Be patient, ETH is a long-term investment and tbh, it's exciting to see all these developments. We know that Vitalik and the team are not stopping, which is great for the token price in the future. Investing in ETH right at this time is similar to investing in Microsoft early.

its not same, since the microsoft has physical asset and ethereum not. I believe that investing in Crypto is good, but investing in Good Company like microsoft is better.

ethereum 2.0 only aims to increase transaction speed and make fees cheaper, it does seem like it is no longer worth it because it can't bring much profit to its price on an exchange, and only makes investors disappointed.
There will be a price effect from Ethereum 2.0, however, later.  After all, the process of updating the ethereum network is designed for as much as two years.  Investors have not yet seen significant positive changes, so they are in no hurry to invest.  Yes, and bitcoin distracts a lot of attention on itself with sharp price drops and the fact that several times its price has risen almost close to its previous price record.  So far, ethereum's price of around $ 600 isn't bad either.

We saw a great pump growth in ETH last month and this thig happened due ETH 2.0. Other price movement will be visible before few days of it lunch and after also. If we compare BTC and ETH and there is a large difference between them and I also love ETH than Bitcoin. After lunch of ETH 2.0 fee will be less for all transaction and then also we can see proper growth as well...

Maybe we cannot feel the effect of the ETH2.0 at the moment but I have a strong guts that it will definitely be a game-changer for the ethereum blockchain knowing that this development focuses on fixing the platforms problems. I have a strong feeling that sooner or maybe within next year this eth2.0 will be part of the bullish run of ethereum.
True, not all related to price. besides that, we are still on bitcoin bullrun and hype defi. ethereum 2.0 offers a great solution to the crazy gas fee issue that has been a problem for the last few months, and which is going to be great. for now I think the price is still quite good and will increase periodically following the development of the solution given by ethereum 2.0

Prices and costs of gas have also not changed at all, this is because the changes were made gradually and in a long enough time to fully switch to the ETH 2.0 blockchain.
I personally believe that everything needs a process to increase the price, now there are many exchanges that support ETH staking with a value smaller than the standard, the more people staking there will be less supply of ETH which could increase the price over time.

Everyone know ETH 2.0 is recently Passed  and unfortunately I had not seen any positive changes in Ethereum Price .
I am so 😲 shocked that why ethereum 2.0 doesn't effect the price of ethereum just like bitcoin halving effect the bitcoin price like halving make BTC price higher . but Ethereum 2.0 doesn't show anything till now.
Please share your thaughts about this it will be pleasure for me

This only means that not all the investors are eager to ride the hype of Eth 2.0 update but Eth is doing fine if I were to say even if the update didn't hype their price that much. Eth still sitting at #2 rank with a $65 billion market cap and this is already good knowing that we cannot compare Eth yet to bitcoin as bitcoin is King of cryptocurrencies.

Yes, throwing away ETH at this point is a mistake, because there are already many people who are willing to stock it up for the sake of getting a big profit next year, although that is not certain, but some of the people I asked, they on average hold ETH very tightly and some just use it for trading.

We should not forget the fact that ETH prices have gone up by quite a lot so far in 2020. During the beginning of the year, it was trading at around BTC0.018 per coin, and now the prices have increased to around BTC0.030. Most of this price rise can be attributed to the hype surrounding ETH 2.0. It is clear that ETH has gone up much more than BTC during this year and that makes it much more riskier to invest in Ethereum at this point.

Hype can indeed make a coin experience a high rise, but Hype also needs Fomo so traders and investors panic to buy,
of course it requires effort and patience to achieve that, take it easy ETH 2.0 will have an impact.

And we are not seeing the impact yet in the market. It will take time as this is a solid project. If this is a pump and dump project, then you will definitely see the tremendous change. But this project is like being tested and proven by time, so the increase is slow and with foundation, which I think is much better. You are confident that this will not disappear into thin air when you are sleeping.

Bitcoin- in bullish time

https://news.bitcoin.com/eth-2-0-scheduled-for-december-vitalik-deposits-1-4m-worth-of-ether-into-phase-0-contract/

Yeah, there is no such effect this time. We are still in Bitcoin season, investors are focusing on Bitcoin, not on ETH. But to know that people aren't so excited about this ETH 2.0 upgrade since for how many times that was been rescheduled.

Anyway, the effect can't be instant, we can witness it somehow in the coming day when the current momentum will stop.

It has already affected the price of Ethereum. When they announced ETH 2.0 staking, the price of ETH went up considerably. And it was a succesful beginning. Also sufficient number of ETHs contributed in the system. I believe that now we are in the accumulation phase. We can see $800 levels in the beginning of 2021.

Are you sure about it having no effect? In October the price was $350-400 and in December it's staying close to $600. That's a 30% gain in a month. Show me stocks with similar effects.

You said that BTC halvings were causing the price to go up but if you look at the charts the pumps weren't immediate. Sometimes it took months for Bitcoin to rally and right after the halving we even had small dumps. There's no rule that a coin that halves or goes through an upgrade has to pump. These events can make investors feel unsure of the future of the coin. Software updates don't always make things better. Wink

Don't only focus on the price, there are other factors you should pay attention to. The price of ETH depends on the BTC due to the positive correlation and almost 90% of the altcoins have a similar correlation pattern with the ETH. You shouldn't only consider the fundamental factors, technical and sentimental market analyses will help you to find the price points near the top/bottom.

in fact the price has not been affected much, and it is a big mistake to think about the increase in relation to the American dollar because it is thanks to the increase in bitcoin price that ETH is over $580.

the price of ETH in relation to bitcoin is at 0.03 BTC

this price is very far from the ATH which was 0.14 BTC... it has been a few years since the price of ETH managed to stay above 0.04 BTC, I expected that with ETH 2.0 this barrier would be broken, but I am not seeing the price of ETH getting at least close to 0.035 BTC

The growth that happened with ethereum was not so big as bitcoin. Bitcoin is pushing the price of ethereum. ETH 2.0 was a long-term plan and many people didn't understand that and these people are taking ethereum 2.0 as short-term news to bet while it will be the same as bitcoin halving and that needs a few years to give the impact to the price of bitcoin.
People are expecting cheap fees and huge gains from ethereum and that's wrong.

So far this year, Ethereum has gone up by around 400%, which is much more than what we witnessed with Bitcoin. Obviously the hype surrounding ETH 2.0 has been responsible for most of this spike. Now the exchange rates seems to have reached a saturation point, and we can expect a major correction period starting quite soon. So rather than $800, don't be surprised if you end up with $400 during the first quarter of 2021.

Many investors and users believed that the launch of ETH 2.0 will boost the DeFi market as a whole. And will increase DeFi adoption and innovation, but this will not guarantee to minimize the transaction fees though many of the users and investors expecting for it.

All eyes focus on BTC, If ETH V2.0 will give price, it should happened before it was released since hype is what the price of the coin pump. BTC price action out shadowing the development of ETH v 2.0. This is a blockchain upgrade so why expect that the price will pump. You should expect that the transaction fee will lower and speed will boost exponentially. Let's give some time for ETH to get the attention of the crypto community. Maybe early next year once BTC find the stable price above 20K.
Actually it happened before the release of the first block because the Value of ETH climb up to more than $600 not an average price for ethereum movement this whole year.
and regarding to focusing in Bitcoin looks like they have both same faith because the value of Bitcoin after reaching almost $20,000 last month not struggling to even climb up to $19,500 indication that the rally had stopped and may not be coming any time soon again.
maybe we must admit that the expected ATH was not supposed to happen in 2020, the chance would be next year in which the real investors are now coming and not the hyping whales.

Eth 2.0 will still depend on bitcoin movement for few reasons, when bitcoin was down to 17,800$ Ethereum also was down to 530$ or so but the difference is Ethereum is now more stronger than before, it's movement is more bullish on its own that's why recover is more faster, probably because of ETH 2.0? Maybe, many expected over 1000$ after the 2.0 is completed but that's over hype

It didn't give a big boost but it did give it a boost and Ethereum continues to hover over $500. The end of the year is always a crucial time because it is close to a long holiday and also Christmas.
Market conditions are still not good for Altcoins to rise higher, Bitcoin dominance is still high. Let's wait for the surprise at the beginning of the year.

Many people anticipate a price pump with eth 2.0 but it hasn't been so since the launch, although eth has witness consecutive price increase this past few days so it could be the price already taken effect right from the time it was announced,
Am sure there is still more to come.
