Pornhub now accepting Monero

Looks like the adult industry is now accepting cryptocurrency, never thought that they already accepting a variety of cryptocurrency not just Monero and Bitcoins the cryptocurrency is really spreading now that's really nice.

I think it's high time for them to introduce cryptocurrency as the main payment method.
An interesting fact is that they delayed this for a very long time, and if they had done it earlier, for example, 2 years ago, when Bitcoin cost $ 3000, they would have been able to make a lot of money.

Nobody is late with what they are doing, after all cryptocurrency is known more widely during the hype of 2017, so it's only natural that many platforms choose to learn about cryptocurrency before deciding to use it as a main payment method.

Well, they can accept any crypto coin that they want to accept since they are a huge industry.

I'm quite curious though if there are some users of PornHub who are really paying membership thru crypto. One thing more is that I didn't tried myself to buy membership so if anybody tried to do it, can I ask what are the differences of buying membership and not buying one .

Pornhub had to use different payment methods. Monero's features are well suited for this purpose. The privacy factor is very important, but its low votality can be a problem

regret always come lately, pornhub never imagine cryptocurrency price will soar like current moment. maybe they did it few years ago they will also got huge number of customers, especially from crypto communityt which is have hobby like pornhub services provided.

Pornhub will still get a huge number of customers after they accept bitcoin and monero. That can give members more options to subscribe to their services, and that can boost cryptocurrency among their members. Maybe that can give a chance to crypto to grow and it will be no problem if the crypto popularity will start from the porn industry. After the other business knows about crypto, the other merchant will start to accept crypto, not just for bitcoin. But we still need to give them time to see if the result is good or need an evaluation.

Master and visa already cancelled working with them, but I doubt that they will accept this situation and just move to crypto, pornhub must be in a big buzz right now and they must be trying to figure out how they could be paid, they could even build their own pornhub payment method where you send money directly from your bank account, but this is a company that made god knows how many millions of dollars per month, they are a huge rich company, they will not be bankrupted based on just decision of credit card processors, they will probably work on getting their own done as well they are THAT big.

For years master and visa needed a competition and destroyed anyone that got closed, I assume this could be the last thing that breaks the barriers, there could be a competition that gets bigger.

Pornhub had to start working with as many cryptos as possible much earlier because it was a matter of time when Visa or Mastercard stop working with site. I don't think it will be a big problem for the users to pay with cryptocurrencies.

It's really amazing to add a payment system with altcoins lol, I hope it's not just this site but more stores. As the times advance and the payment system may make many stores interested in adding payments with altcoins.

Adding cryptocurrencies is good, but then Monero is not a coin that can boast of a lot of liquidity. And there are several cryptocurrency exchanges, which don't accept Monero, due to its association with dark markets. IMO, they should have limited their acceptance to top cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. Accepting too many coins increases the maintenance expenses as well.

That's good news I read that Visa and master card severed their ties to Pornhub because of this they think of adding Cryptocurrency but not only Monero they should add more Cryptocurrency and not only privacy coin but top coins with low feeds and fast confirmation like Tron, Waves otr Litecoin and of course Bitcoin.

For the store, I think there are still many considerations they have to think about, especially for stores that are not online based, automatically they obviously don't want to use such payments, but for the website I think they will obviously accept it, especially if they already understand cryptocurrency and have collaborations with several parties that have good exchanges.

I was not surprised to known that Pornhub accepts Monero, because from the start I was sure that Monero was very suitable

I have never felt disappointed with pornhub. They are the leader of pornography provider not just with their product but also with new innovations that they keep adding every day. Despite of accepting monero, using this coin to purchase anything on the website is not a good idea, IMO, due to the fee and confirmation time. But this is good for the future. Maybe someday this coin will be even faster and stronger than any other coins

It is sad that I can only access to Pornhub through VPN. My country blocks this site cause they do not like people to watch adult content

Actually I am quite disappointed with Pornhub why it is only now accepting Monero for payments. But better late than never.

We are still super early adopters. Bitcoin exist 11 years. Monero exist 6 years. PornHub is a big website with many customers. They simply did not need Monero. Creditcard companies put them in the corner and only then they started to search for solutions. Everything needs some time. Crypto might not go mainstream in this decade. But adoption as PornHub is doing will fro sure help with adoption.
