You're over-thinking it. It's not meant to be a thought experiment about where the cash logistically came from, the point is just to think about how you would allocate the money, taking as a given the fact that you have it. You don't have to explain it or worry about taxes, just spend it.

Investing your money should always be your goal because this world is actually built around people who make money with money, and that is what you should be aiming to become as well. Just for example, everyone talks about how Jeff Bezos is rich right? He is the richest person and he owns so much of amazon and so forth, his net worth has been topic of discussion for a long time as well.

Do you know how he is rich? Well he owns stocks of amazon, that is how he got rich, obviously he is also the founder, which is why he is so rich and owns so much stocks, not like he bought them, but think about it like investing very early on and making money later, about the same logic. He didn't profited by selling some products, he profited by owning a stock, so made money with money. Buying anything will get you away from that, try to spend as little as possible and invest as much as you can.

Well this amount is like a dream, imagine having lots of money on hand and you're thinking where to spend it.

Anyways we need to be wise nowadays, money is easy to spend yet hard to earn so the first thing that I will do is to allocate a portion to invest on crypto and other kind of investment (e.g real state, stocks, gold). If I have million dollars my choice will go for cryptocurrencies investment. Since bitcoin and Ethereum are really improve than any other business, I will invest the million on bitcoin and Ethereum, for me to expect double profit from the investment when the price increase. What to worry about having bitcoin again !! When I have cash, I will invest in bitcoin. With the remainder, I will purchase land at a lower price. All have to authorize a location where the money makes twice as much in limited years. Profit is everyone's business, I am not the opposite. So I will invest my cash in Bitcoin and land.

I know that there are lot of people who are so dumb that if they are given that kind of money they will first rush to buy Ferrari, but one thing is for sure, and that’s that the value of Bitcoin will keep on increasing in future, while the value of your Ferrari will drop, and in future there will be new Ferrari’s that will be produced by the company so the value of the one you’re buying today will definitely drop and if you decide to sell it in future you will be selling it for way less than what you bought it for, so what’s the need?

Why not first invest that money in Bitcoin and leave it there till the value multiplies and you can then look for other things you can do with it?

Don't call the person who chose Ferarri dumb, maybe for us the investment is more important, but if it's open I am sure there are still many people who choose Ferarri not because they are stupid, but they choose to buy the social. class. Buying a Ferrari just to boast that you have lots of money is not great since it would just get more eyes on you and would just get you more unwanted attention. Having a million of dollars IN CASH would be questioned by some department that has got something to do with tax since they will think that you just gain it from somewhere instantly which is not normal but if you gained it through Bitcoin, then it would not be suggested to convert all into cash since you have the ability to let it grow.

Questions on the opening post will definitely get different answers depending on the financial condition of each person. But because I live in
a poor country which is earning around $ 300 per month, if I get millions dollars of cash. I will use it wisely and will choose to invest in Bitcoin
to survive. But that doesn't mean spending money on a ferrari is wrong, but for me who used to live poorly buying ferrari is not important.
I prefer to buy assets that can provide passive income in the future, and investing in Bitcoin I can get that.

IMO buying a Ferrari or any other expensive toy is the last thing any sane person should do, counting this million as the only asset.

I would invest in REIT, some crypto, some own properties and dividend stocks. I would love to secure a decent cash flow with this million.
