Why bitcoin is volatile in December?

It's not. It make appear to be volatile if you are only looking at the last couple of weeks (1st image)... but this is nothing in historic terms. Basically the price has risen significantly over the last couple of months. Once it got into ATH territory, there was a pullback, followed by a small increase back towards ATH again. If we look longer term, and on a logarithmic scale (2nd image) so that we can see volatility at lower price points, then December 2020 looks quite stable.

Bitcoin is used to be volatile ever since it has been made. The likely that we're getting just like in 2017 is just a mere coincidence. Read the explanation of people on this thread[1].

You'll get ideas why we're having this bull run this month. Last year, we got almost the same bull run it didn't closed $12k-$13k and that happened on June/July IIRC.

I don't see any signs that it's going to be volatile this month but there's an expected dump but eventually more buyers take that good chance. Fluctuations could possibly happen due to resistance, then demand will follow when there's no panic sellers arise. Though it's unavoidable, small quantities won't really affect btc value.

I think the Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency were all volatile not just in December but ever since. As you can see we all have decentralized exchange and anyone can price their Bitcoin probably you are new to cryptocurrency but all coins were all volatile ever since.

So, it was not just December where Bitcoin is volatile.
Consider it for the whole year.
December is just too much discussed because of the ATH last 2017 and also that is where the highest price lands. Just like now.
If it's only one month where it would move a lot then traders won't have a hard time predicting and speculating the whole 11 months.
