Regarding the first part, phase III trials (which were conducted on tens of thousands of people) have shown that there is hardly any serious side effect from the vaccines. But we need to be cautious here, as many of the pharmaceutical companies decided to cut down the length of the trials.

And now coming to the second part, the vaccines are for preventing the infection, and not for the treatment of COVID 19. If you are already having the infection, then administering the vaccine is going to make the condition even worse (if you know how the vaccines work).

And finally, don't be stupid enough to believe that once you get vaccinated, there is no chance of getting infected. Even the most efficient COVID 19 vaccine has shown only 95% efficiency. That means that there is a 5% chance of getting infected even after your vaccination.

This stuff is so obvious and I doubt that people would fall for it anyway (although you never know how stupid some people are). But just like ponzis, pyramids and other scams that accept BTC, it has nothing to do with bitcoin itself. Bitcoin is simply doing what it's supposed to do - facilitating transactions.

It's fallacious to argue that BTC is somehow at fault for these scams. There are probably a ton of other COVID related scams that use fiat cash, but only this goes to the press for its attention grabbing headline.

Most of the distribution will be done by the government and therefore you won't be able to skip the queue. But I recently read a statement from John Skerritt. He was claiming that small number of vaccine vials may be made available privately. He didn't clarified how many doses will be available, or what will be the price tag.
