We have always observed that if bitcoin rises in value, most altcoins follow as well. Even now that bitcoin has reached another ATH, altcoins are also increasing and now, market is in green celebrating the bitcoins new record.

don't be pessimistic first, who knows today, tomorrow or the day after ETH will follow the rising trend of bitcoin? Nobody knows exactly the price movement of a coin, even BTC in the past week only hovered around $ 17k whereas now BTC is hitting $ 20.7k. So this suggests that coin bulls can happen unexpectedly, but let's hope for the best for the coins we hold especially with ETH.

Maybe there is a chance that ethereum will reach a new ATH as you can see the price of eth right now it's starting to grow thanks to bitcoin. If bitcoin keeps increasing until will reach $23,000 then I guess eth will reach over $1000 price and possible we can see a new ATH of eth.

I am so happy right now, finally a new all time high price for bitcoins. Reaching 21,000 a week before Christmas is insane. This is the perfect Christmas gift for all of us. If bitcoins managed to hit their target, ETH should be able to do the same. I wouldn't sell my ETH coins right now. The general sentiment is upwards in my opinion.

Well last ATH of Ethereum was right before the crash of Bitcoin so basically we can expect the increase of price of Ethereum probably when the crash of Bitcoins price well let's just hope that it will took some more time before the crash of Bitcoin or won't crash at all.

The entire bitcoin community got the shock today to see bitcoin within a space of few hours setting up a new all time high record it so amazing to witness that, and also ethereum has made some level of increase in the same space of time but not up to it record high of $1000 in 2018. May be before the year runs out ethereum will set it own ATH we keep watching and hoping for that to happen

I am still bullish about Ethereum and as long as it is following the footsteps of growth im happy but at the same time i would like to see eth closing the year over 850 for good bullish momentum next year.

<$900 for ETH to reach it's previous high, so that is still huge amount in my opinion. So it might take months and I'm expecting that probably next year 2nd or 3rd quarter. As long as we remain bullish, just a matter of time.

Remember that ETH's lowest low is $80 in 2018, that's a significant increased already to the current price. And obviously, with ETH 2.0, we might see a surge next year when everything has settled down, so just be patience and we will reach ATH next year.

In my opinion, ETH can definitely catch up with BTC by reaching its new ATH this year, because I believe the time for ETH prices to increase will not be much different from the increase in BTC prices, so this will make the chances of ETH prices to increasing very high this year can happen (past its ATH price) and once the price of ETH increase very high, then it will be a session for the price of another altcoin to increase very high too (my prediction is the minimum by the end of 2020).

It is likely to break its all time high price but nobody knows when. But as you see it is also moving upwards but with little motion at $623.
Just a little more time and needs more patience if you want to see Ethereum breaks its past ATH. From the past lower prices that it has, it can also get into a skyrocket and it can repeatedly done.

$1000 is just difficult to reach right now. No hype from ICO's using ERC-20 which means a buying spree of Ethereum for tokens of new projects.
DeFi ain't like that so it won't help.
Ethereum 2.0 is already out and that could be the only chance for Ethereum to reach its peak again.

ETH has the biggest developer community in the crypto space, even bigger than Bitcoin. They just successfully started the first phase of the ETH 2.0 upgrade. What other news or developments do you think are needed from the devs? The problem is that Eth has lost so much in BTC-value from the ATH that it needs to start outperforming Bitcoin to really have a chance of reaching a new ATH. And that's something I don't really see atm.
