Kraken will integrate Bitcoin’s lightning network in 2021

Kraken is starting the movement officially. I'm quoting what Pierre Rochard told CoinDesk:

The Lightning network has matured to a level where it can be used by Kraken. It really comes back to what our users are asking for. They want instant and efficient payment – the ability to deposit and withdraw bitcoin without having to wait for confirmations and without high withdraw fee withdrawals.

Fees will be too high within the next years. It's the only way to face the scalability problem and keep bitcoin as a medium of exchange and not only as investment and store of value.

This was anounced three day ago or so, if exchanges are adopting bitcoin lightning, it can be a great move towards lightning adoption generally. But we should still not to forget that this type of exchanges are custodial exchanges.

This is great news and I hope to see soon enough a trend here followed by basically all Bitcoin services.
Of course, I don't expect miracles, but if they've started too late for this bubble/bull run, maybe this will be working/in use for the next one (again, for most/all services, not only Kraken).

It's a good move for the bitcoin as this confirmation issues is one of the barriers that's limiting its global usage. Once this is solved with lightening adoption, it will help bitcoin move up on the adoption ladder and a win also for the lightening technology.
