When you are drunk you lost your self control and consciousness which doesn't make who you are. Self control is one of the behaviour from evolved living things which is really developed at human beings as well.

Well as you put it that I am more convince on what OP has said.
Maybe alcohol and pressure would release who we really are since we have been controling our self when we are in the right state of mind.
Maybe when we are drunk we are releasing our deepest part of our true form that we might have never known or acknowledge.

If you can't control yourself when you're drunk, then don't drink. - This is what I say to my friends when they're reasoning out doing crazy things, beating their wives or having a quarrel with their drink mates.

They're hiding to that reason that they can't control themselves and activities when they're drunk. But to me, in reality, they know what they do and they're still aware of what's happening.

Been really long I got drunk, but from what I can remember back then, it makes you forgetful, and probably courageous while ignoring boundaries that shouldn't be crossed.

My guess is that alcohol was made for man (and probably other creatures) to feel happy, suppress pain and forget terrible experience. Excessive drinking would probably make you brave and take careless risks you normally wouldn't take because of not being very conscious of your actions.

That is the Other side of us, we have many faces and sometimes we can't dig those until time unexpected happens.

Alcohol act as Engine for us to reveal whats inside of us,so expect  That even Saints Will Change if being Drunk.

When I am drunk I lose all control of my abilities to function and communicate with people.  It is a awful site to see and I do not enjoy being in this mood.
Sometimes if we are at a party I will drink to much alcohol because I am having too much fun.  Only to regret t hours later or when I am awake the next morning.

They should be excused and deserve another chance to change, even if they often do the same thing over and over. But we can support them to change and show the way that they can change better than before. I am sure that every person is a good person, and we should back it to him, especially if he regrets what he is done before, and he wants to change.

Some people say they take alcohol when worried to reduce over thinking, but there are various ways to forget your worries not alcohol. Because we all know its harmful to the health. Anger ,pressured and Drunk are all has different effect and reactions , anger comes from deeper part of us,this only goes when provoked and the outcome mostly is out of our control ,because we are not use to this.

Pressured is from our Emotion, triggered when or limit is being questioned so our emotion changed and sweating is what we have most of the time.

While Drunk is not totally us,because the alcohol changes us ,this is added substance to our body in which won't happen if not intake.

If you are drunk your evil thoughts gets expressed more because mind always possess both kind of thoughts butbthe self control knows which one to be expressed but when you lost your self control then evil might get expressed a lot because it was getting supressed all the time.

That's an interesting idea. In my opinion a wife beater should never be excused and ajwats face the consequences for his actions.

Here is another question, what if someone never drinks or uses any other form of drugs, lives a healthy life and is never angry. Would you say this guy his never himself then and just hides his true face perfectly?
