If you are willing to say what country you are located in, then you might get some more specific suggestions.

For the time being, there are a number of directories out there of bitcoin accepting sites, merchants, retailers, etc. Take a look at some of the following:
https://spending-bitcoin.com/
https://debitpay.directory/
https://coinmap.org/

There are also the big brands such as Overstock and NewEgg.

There are also gift cards you can buy directly with bitcoin for thousands of different retailers all over the world. Take a look at this thread for some more info: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5208530

Why do you need places like that though? There is no need to spend your coins just for the sake of spending them. I mean, I'd rather hold my coins instead of doing that. That being said, there are multiple shops/online services (that I've personally tried) such as Shelly or Shoppy where you can buy accounts with Bitcoin, Mega.nz if you need cloud storage, ProtonVPN, and so on. The links shared by leo above is quite a good start.

If you can still afford to pay with the money in your pocket, why not.

Completely disagree.

If no one spends bitcoin, then current merchants will stop accepting bitcoin and new merchants won't bother going to effort of setting up bitcoin wallets or payment processors. If nobody accepts bitcoin as a payment, then bitcoin can't be used as a currency. If it isn't a currency, then it has failed at the very reason it was created, and becomes next to useless. Yes, we all want to see a higher price, but a higher price only comes with increasing adoption, and increasing adoption only comes with people actually using bitcoin for its intended purpose - a currency. If everyone stopped spending and transacting with bitcoin right now, the price would rapidly fall to nothing.

There is nothing preventing you from being both a holder and a spender, both holding bitcoin for the long term while also contributing to its ongoing growth and increasing adoption. Next time you are buying bitcoin, buy extra - send some to your long term storage, and spend some at various merchants who accept it. Or follow the "spend and replace" strategy. The more people who spend bitcoin frequently, then the faster we will see widespread adoption. You want your bitcoin price to increase? Then spend it.

With the pump in bitcoin I wouldn't advice you to try that at the moment ,but if you insist they are loads of places that accepts bitcoin as a means of payment , it just depends on where you are staying .

You can use Purse.io to purchase stuff on Amazon using your bitcoin, and with discounts too.

Quick note though, if I remember correctly the last time I used this service was in 2017, so do your due diligence about the service as I don't have the slightest idea on how good/bad Purse.io has been since the last time I've used it.

I don't completely do it because I tend to hold on to it for the long term, and only a small part to spend on urgent needs when I don't have money or need extra.
And in the country where I live, bitcoin or other crypto cannot be used as a transaction tool and must be converted
become fiat in order to be able to make any purchase or transaction, and although there are lots of transactions using bitcoin out there, but I would prefer to change it and will use bitcoin if it is available in my country.

So many service providers are trying to integrate bitcoin for there payment options, to make it easy to use there platforms, products and services. But if you look at it I will say there are just trying to lore people to give there bitcoin cheap to them if you look at the price predictions to come that's why I prefer to hold my bitcoin.

I recommed using a crypto card provider. Theoretically you don't have to convert to fiat yourself, they handle that part for you. The fees are quite low IMO if you don't make big monthly movements.
You can find a lot of digital and some physical products you can even in this forum. Check out the "Goods" section. Wink

I don't know about your country, but in mine there are a few reputable online stores that accept BTC payments. Make sure you check the payment options. They might no make a big fuss about them accepting crypto payments.

I think it's good that there are people who still view Bitcoin as money (like the op), not merely as an investment. I'm not spending my BTC directly, but it doesn't mean I don't want to. I don't really care about the price drama anymore, I just want to live long enough to see Bitcoin being accepted in supermarkets and cafés, salaries being paid out in BTC if the employee wishes so and stuff like that. Unfortunately, we're far from that now because even though lists look impressive, it's still a very tiny amount of places in comparison to where one can pay with fiat.

You could probably find a few stores in your country that accept bitcoin, Bitcoin is still in the process of adaptation so there are only a few physical stores that accept bitcoin but for sure you could find one locally.

Here are some websites where you could spend your bitcoin. Remember that websites might not accept bitcoin anymore because of the price volatility.

https://www.gyft.com/
https://www.jmbullion.com/
https://www.overstock.com/
https://www.ghostbed.com/
https://purse.io/shop
https://localbitcoins.com/

In my opinion, bitcoin is the best for investment at this moment and not for spending because of the volatility in the market price.

I recommed using a crypto card provider.
The problem with using a card which converts bitcoin to fiat for you on the go is the same as all centralized methods for converting bitcoin to fiat - privacy. You must open an account, you must complete KYC, you must verify your identity, you must send copies of all your documents, and the card provider will store all of that on record, as well as monitor your balance, your transactions, what you are buying, where you are buying it, how much you are spending on it, and will share that information with their fiat banking partners, your government, and probably some ad agencies and other third parties too. The appeal of paying with bitcoin without first converting to fiat like OP asked is that you can avoid all of this and use bitcoin as it was designed - without intermediate third parties. If the merchant I want to shop at does not accept bitcoin, then I would much rather either find a gift card I can buy anonymously or find an alternative merchant than complete KYC for a card.

While I agree that spending money just for the sake of spending money is a mistake at the same time I think we'll have the urge of spending some of the bitcoin that we have especially in a physical store, after all I have been spending bitcoin online probably from the first moment that I became part of this market but it was not until recently in which I found the opportunity to use my bitcoin in a physical store and quite honestly I did not need to do it but I did it to get the experience and maybe the OP is looking for the same.

This looks like an updated article.
https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/who-accepts-bitcoin/
You might want to try it.

But please do check it first since I haven't tried some of the services there.
Also, if you want a better answer please provide more information like the country that you prefer to use it.
Although I really doubt you are going to spend it with the nonstop pump.

Bisq Market Day - March 20th 2023

There are many places in my country where you can buy commodities and pay with bitcoin without any question from the seller. Many supermarket and shops in the country accept bitcoin for payment which it has reduced so many bank transaction strength and delay in the country.
Many countries never still legalized bitcoin in their country because they think it doesn't have any impact to their country. Many people have use bitcoin to become a great man and women because they know how to use it to invest and how to use it to sustain in the community. Those countries that bitcoin is not legalized yet, find it difficult to see where to use their bitcoin to buy goods and services in the country.

if you are spending bitcoins only to pay for something you can pay for with other alternatives. save your bitcoins for the long term.

That's the reason why we should also invest on altcoins that are existing in the market.

Altcoins are also profitable which you can use to sustain your needs or if you have something to buy or pay for.

Bitcoin should be the main asset and should be a priority, if you spend it when bitcoin's price increases that's clearly a wrong decision and you can't turn back time when you already spend it and make transactions with it. So it is much better if you just store it and observe the market with full attention.

Well, we need first to know which country OP comes from so that we can give more specific suggestions to him.
I agree with some other suggestions above, why would you spend your bitcoin than holding it, just wait for a little and there will be a good opportunity that bitcoin will increase furthermore compared as we saw now. Bitcoin becomes more expensive year by year and I think it deserves to hold in your wallet and wait for a better opportunity when is the selling point. But if you really like to spend it, just visit the links already dropped above.

Are there people out there selling their goods and services that I can pay with bitcoin? I need some real places where I can pay with BTC without first converting to fiat.

It all depends on what part of the world you are - your country to be precise. These days, it's almost possible to buy anything with Bitcoin due to how popular it has become in the last 2-3 years. Now, I'm not talking about just using BTC to shop only on online retail stores you can also use it to purchase things like:

- Food
- Airtime & Data
- Clothings
- Real Estate (I know some real estate that accepts Bitcoin as a payment method)
- consumer goods and services: there's a ton of products and services you can purchase using Bitcoin.

The list of things you can purchase with BTC goes on and on and what's more is that the list keeps growing with each passing day. At the end of the day it does depend on the country you live in, the businesses and merchants that accepts it as a means of payment.
