Of all cryptocurrencies, why doge? as a crypto enthusiast myself, I love sharing my experiences with Bitcoin and other cryptcies with my friends, I often get to start off my sharing with DOGECOIN rather than Bitcoin, why is it you say? Well since my friends (at least in my circle of friends) know a lot and love doge memes, I then start off the topic by talking about doge and how popular doge is, then I finally start to tackle about dogecoin being an actual digital currency (I decided to say digital currency so they'd have an idea instead of cryptocurrency) and after a short explanation they are then ought to believe with what I'm saying by showing that I am actually earning dogecoins, and after a few months, they've started planning to actually buy dogecoins and see for themselves, it's actually an easier way to make them benefit with cryptocurrency using other cryptocurrency rather than just by relying on Bitcoin.

Not to sound bitter but Dogecoin isnt really much a wise choice if you and your friends are really targeting on making profits.It would be much more better if
you directly told them about bitcoin but well its your choice.

Sooner or later, that friend of yours will definitely be curious about Bitcoin specially if they do engage too much in crypto market.They would able to tell
the difference when they do engage with Bitcoin and other alts.

To be honest, I think Dogecoin is very good when used in daily activities. Besides the very affordable price, Dogecoin also has fast transaction speeds. If mass adoption of bitcoin/crypto occurs, I believe Dogecoin will be the best alternative

I agree that Dogecoin is very good when used in daily activities, but I do not agree that Dogecoin has transaction speed, previously I used Dogecoin and the transaction speed was around 30 seconds to 1 minute, very different when compared to XRP, XLM or EOS which has a transaction speed of under 10 seconds.
However Dogecoin is not a bad choice to invest there as Dogecoin's market cap rating is still within the top 100.

Dogecoin can be called a coin that is light to buy, easy to use, simple to trade and fun to hold. I really like the existence of DOGE, even though I don't use it to introduce cryptocurrency to my friends or family. Until now, I have used Doge to transfer small assets because of the very low transaction fees.

1 minute is not a big problem, considering that some large coins have transaction speeds of over 10 minutes.

That's right, we should not force them to invest on cryptocurrency because they will blame us for sure. Just give the right information and encourage them as well to learn on their own because if they will just depend on you, then its useless for them. Dodgecoin is a great coin before and its cheap until now, I just don't like introducing altcoins to my friends because I know the risk, Bitcoin is way more safer for me.

Am not entirely going to fully lean on Dogecoin of course, rather than a stepping stone for them to gain information on cryptocurrency, nothing will hurt if I introduce them to something they like, after knowing dogecoin, we'll be moving on to the major ones like Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.

Agree, since Dogecoin isnt too good as investment coin. It have unlimited supply isnt it? But i think doge user is really much since its Listed on many exchanges and Cheap transaction fee feature. Sometimes i use doge to do arbitrary between exchanges

Indeed, we can introduce any project that we want as long as we are explaining everything that is important and that is good for them and what they need to know. Explaining cryptocurrency to a beginner is difficult but if you try to explain it while showing every information or showing some videos for them to easily understand. That will help them to gain knowledge and have curiosity in their mind and they will try to invest. Try to recommend some good projects that are worth investing in, so they won't blame you for losing their money.

but we also have to realize that bitcoin is quite complex for new users. Dogecoin is an altcoin that is more user friendly and easier to reach than bitcoin can be a good alternative as an introduction to the world of crypto.

Even though the price of Doge is cheap, but the support is strong, just look at Elon Musk's recent tweet which went viral about Doge, making the price go up by around 20%. Even new users can take advantage of tips in the various telegram communities to collect doges, with strong community support, collecting doges can be fun, and a great way to learn crypto.

I too have also used DOGE to introduce crypto to my friends. It was a long time ago and so far they are still doing trades using the said coin. DOGE may not be a good investment, but it is a good trading coin that can help you try to practice trading. Once you are proficient in trading DOGEs then you can now be able to move on to other alts. Why not Doge, not because they are not in the top 10 they cannot be an example of a good coin to invest, a good Cryptocurrency should have a good community, low transaction fee, and fast to confirm, all of these define DogeCoin that is why after many years they ares till here, they may be not be on the top but they are likely to stand bad times.

I think that's a pretty good thing, because nowadays most people understand about altcoins, there are also very few people who still know for sure. but for now it's good. if your friends can also join crypto currency it will be even better. because more and more users of that crypto currency will be more believers in crypto and more trustworthy for many people. so it is not only Doge they learn but many more altcoins they will also lyrics.
