So its trending already PSG and JUV getting listed through Binance Launchpool. People on Bitcoinpub are talking about it, I've seen a few threads on the Altcoin discussion tab already but all of them are about the investment prospect and long term viability about the tokens. They aren't talking about what kind of impact would the crypto gambling scene have with the introduction of these coins.

I am not very active on the forum these days, this is just by my research in the past few hours. Correct me if I am wrong, have any pre-established gambling platforms like stake or nitrosports (or whatever's legit these days) posted any announcements of starting to accept these?

Quite interesting stuff if you ask me. Some of these clubs have fans in the millions, larger than the entire population of some very well developed economies!
I wonder if they would create some kind of whitelisting facility down the line that would be required for the holders of these fan tokens so as to prevent the use of these in any shady stuff.

As interesting as this may be I think we're all overlooking one basic fact. They're launching through Binancepool. As of now there is no other way for countries and demographies that have huge numbers of football fans to acquire these tokens especially if Binance have those countries blacklisted.

And as far as shady stuff go, yeah sure why not? I mean even Bitcoin was used for shady stuff back in the early days. The point should be not what bad things can happen but the good things. I'm kinda coming up with all these scenarios in my head where this can be advantageious. I'm kinda new to sports betting so maybe someone with more experience can answer this..

nah not yet. I think they'll start picking it up once the Binance launchpool is over. Once people have the tokens at hand to start spending it.
But I think the offline sports betting community will reject these as they rely on hard cash a lot.

One of the best ways to put this new kind of money to use is by letting it be an integral part of online betting and online fantasy leagues. I'm more interested about the latter actually.

I am aslo curious what kind of polls would these fan tokens enable the fans to vote on. Would the choices of the fans be weighed in when making a club transfer? Would or could these fan tokens be used to directly sponsor a player's transfer?

I don't suppose the smaller clubs like say for Accrington Stanley would make a any news if they got a fan token of their own through this Chiliz platform but what if they did? And what if the actual fans bought the clubs stuff that the managers and the owners can't? The prospective is exciting.

That's an excellent point. I do not think it has been outlined yet what can be purchased and what not through these fan tokens. I suppose if the owners wanted they could even sell a share of the club to the token holders in some sort of staking mechanism. Garnering some cashflows from the profit revenue directed to all the stakers that are staking with these fan tokens.

Although I am not sure if clubs like Barcelona or any of the bigger clubs would ever do that. But, technically, they could.

I don't think they would ever do an ama about these coins with the club presidents or players, but if they did that would be super cool!

It'll be mined through Binance Launchpool via Staking for BNB / BUSD / CHZ so it is good for hodlers and hedgers. Bottom line is so far the generation and majority distribution seems to be limited to the crypto crowd and not football fans in the stadium. I am really interested to see how these tokens make it to the hands of the average football fan who is not an avid crypto-goer.

Bottom line is so far the generation and majority distribution seems to be limited to the crypto crowd and not football fans in the stadium. I am really interested to see how these tokens make it to the hands of the average football fan who is not an avid crypto-goer.

I think that in the hands of fans who do not know crypto very well what they can achieve is to make a great Hodl mode due to ignorance, maybe they will use the tokens to buy products of the favorite teams, but it will be interesting because I do not think they will happen because of part of the fans a big dump.

I don't see any known crypto casinos or sportsbooks have started accepting such tokens yet, and I am not sure if they will even do it! These fan tokens are pretty useless in nature because it just leverages the fan base of a football club without any practical reasons! That's the main reason why majority of the altcoins fail, because they don't have a practical use case. Same goes with the football fan tokens! They don't have a practical use case apart from buying official merchandise or getting invited to an event! Being launched by Binance launch pool doesn't change this reality!

As the sports industry has taken a big financial hit by the pandemic, some football clubs are trying to create more avenues to make money, it seems!

I tried to check a Binance and it's true that this token is on Binance and trading will start at 2020/12/21 6:00 AM (UTC). I don't see any sportsbook accept this token on their website maybe in future when sportsbook see a high demand and many players suggesting the token.
I don't think the impact on the gambling industry will be big as there are now cryptos that are more well-known and available on many exchanges that accepted in many sportsbook like BTC, ETH, LTC, DOGE.

I actually heard about these tokens even last year IIRC they were launched by a company that is the sponsor for all these clubs, forgot the name but they have their own native token too that just dropped in value over and over. I did not realize now they already launched the individual club tokens like this as IEOs,,, I have a distrust of all centralized tokens even if it is for a club I support:)

I`m interested in the sphere, but my research started not so far ago. Connecting team fans with blockchain and cryptocurrency is really smart action for cryptocurrency world development. I don`t know any sites which accept these tokens, but everything often goes step by step, so we just need to wait some time and we will see, how this will influence cryptoworld and gambling.

Actually, there is no chance to add this kind of fan token on any gambling-related website this token are functional only for voting on club organized event and to participate on their public pool. As far as I've seen online, maybe these tokens can be used to buy club jerseys, caps, logos etc from the correlated website. yes, it can be delisted from Binance at any time cause I don't think it will able to raise much popularity.

I'm not even sure the online community will accept it. The time when altcoins seemed so exciting and crypto diversity was becoming more and more popular is unfortunately over. I'm betting using Bitcoin and I can't remember when was the last time I used any other crypto, to be honest. So even though some coins like ETH, LTC, USDT and perhaps DOGE are still popular and accepted in various places, I don't see why casinos would accept these new football tokens if the majority is fine betting with the coins that are already in active usage. Oh, and if Swordsoffreedom is right, it's not even what these tokens are for.
