Altcoins and new all time highs

Personally, it is too soon to say a new cryptocurrency is good or bad and with hype after their launches, price can get new all time high anytime. The matter is after a few years, will those projects survive and be adopted by communities with their real products and real usecases. It is not my surprise as no top altcoins or old altcoins appear in the list. They are stucked with their all time high in 2018.

If these coins can hit their ATH value in this bull run, I think these are going to survive and reach new ATH with BTC. We had a lot of so-called strong coin inducing but not limited to ADA, NEO, VET, ZIL ONT, ICX, LSK, XVG but they are almost dead in terms of reaching ATH value.

For all altcoins that have Ath set in 2017, it is still far from its high. And I do not have such confidence that in the near future such altcoins will be able to install new ATH. The example of Ethereum shows that it should grow by another 130% before the new ATH.

New coins haven't experienced a big dump yet, so it's easier for them to reach their record price values.

New altcoin that listed here is mostly a new crypto currency for this year like AXS and that UNI. It's still early for them to be judge but more of them already have strong foundation of  community one of the example is AXS where people  can  play and earn with  their games and have strong partnership.

Other altcoin can't beat their ATH for a reason that it is their peak price when the hype started in 2017 and Bitcoin in that time is also in ATH and more of the pair use is only in BTC unlike now that we have a lot of option to pair.

The thing about Crypto tokens is that, you should always have your own valuation at the back of your mind as you review the information at hand. Most of these tokens that reached their ATH in 2018 won't reach that heights again, because we now have better projects entering the space that is going to take their place

It was just like planned, most of the altcoins hitting their new ath are new coins/tokens. I can see that most of the ones the i saw last year are dying and leaving the top 100 rankings which is so sad.
It's life, someone goes and another comes. It's the same for crypto, i'm crossing my fingers for a better future full of decentralization.

And soon those new coins will also be change by another new coins next year just wait. Still those in the top 10 coins is strong enough even though they never break its ATH but they already give a lot of gain of you only calculate for this year increase in price and don't count their past ATH.

in fact it is like that the old altcoins have different strengths, although they are often eroded by the turmoil of new cryptos that come on the market. this shows that they remain the idol of altcoin enthusiasts. In addition, many new altcoins have sprung up, and are only able to last for a certain period of time according to the hype that they set themselves. very transparent differences in quality and quantity.

This coins may have shown their strength in this new waves of All time high bruhaha but to me it still early to make a list cause the bull run just started and there are other altcoins that brake their all time high within the year but are no where to be found now.

So it all depends on the user case of the project to determine it stays in the market, and future growth.

No one knows if they would still be existing after several years. You can compare these projects to the old ones that once became popular and then no longer popular in the current time.

I think Bitcoin is the only crypto on the list of coins that have reached a new ATH which isn't a new crypto. Much older altcoins have been struggling to keep up its price and volume since Bitcoin is sucking up everything from the market. Now that everyone's attention is fixed on Bitcoin it would be a lot harder for them to reach such heights.  I estimate that Bitcoin would slow down in the next 6 months and dominance would drop a bit giving time for other altcoins to reach peak ATH prices.

New tokens always tend to create their all time high as early as possible but if those token was already listed a year ago and hitting a new all time high is a great step for them and a good signal of being a good token. Altcoins are still surviving, many are still pumping and follows the trend of bitcoin but some are still not moving that much and no sign of any growth.

Reaching a new all-time high does not mean an altcoin will be successful. Most altcoins out there are not better than Bitcoin. That's their weakness. Bitcoin has the best proposal between all the coins I know. That's why it has received so much interest from institutions and not the other altcoins.

This season's bull run just about Bitcoin and partly some few altcoins. Most of the altcoins most especially the ethereum and XRP ripple which could not reach the price they reached in 2017. Ethereum was above $800 and it hasn't even reached $700 while Bitcoin make a news record of ATH. Ripple (XRP) was also above $2 and it hasn't even reached a dollar yet. There are many more which didn't at all performed as they did in 2017.

It is possible and they can set up their new all time highs if price rallies double from temporary price in BTC pairs and BTC sets its new all time high. It is possible but if consider carefully about it, their values in BTC will not climb to their past all time high. If people invest in those coins in BTC pairs, they will still get loss, serious loss.

New altcoins as YFI has its hype this year. This token sets its all time high at $43966 and I don't believe it can break that price cap. If it can, congratulate to people invest in YFI in YFI/ USDT pair but the price of that token in YFI/BTC pair is very crazy. That pair all time high is 4.2 BTC for one YFI. For a relatively new coin reaching ATH is kinda easier than those old coins which have quite the amount of market cap and the price high.
I mean although I might wrong but most of these coin doesn't seem to have billions dollars of market cap which means it's easy to pump the market and that requires significantly less money.

Still a good performance though, if they could build their market cap as high as Polkadot for example, they might succeed.

expect more with the existence of old tokens, especially the altcoins that we have,not knowing when it will start to be at the heyday of the current altcoin token..

No one knows if they would still be existing after several years. You can compare these projects to the old ones that once became popular and then no longer popular in the current time.

Time is a powerful indicator for one project. If one project is able to enjoy a cycle of four year in crypto, survives and has good communities, volume on exchanges, it can be a good project. Although that project can be a good one, it does not equal to better than bitcoin. If any team try to seed their project is better than bitcoin, it is their advertisement and self assessment, that is unreliable. I enjoyed the market in 2018 and I saw many shit altcoins have prices higher than $50, $100 for nonsense. They are dead now or months ago.

Reaching a new all-time high does not mean an altcoin will be successful. Most altcoins out there are not better than Bitcoin. That's their weakness. Bitcoin has the best proposal between all the coins I know. That's why it has received so much interest from institutions and not the other altcoins.

Bitcoin has its real adoption, usecases and a healthy network by its very high hashrates. With altcoins, less adoption, less or zero usecases and their networks are unhealthy, vulnerable to attacks.

Usually after a new ATH is set and it undergoes a dip season, they never find it easy to attain the ATH or set new one. These current alts needs to be given time to prove itself also in some years to come we will see how well it will perform. In the next four years according to records, the list would have changed and usually this current ones might be struggling.
