I've been running a crypto blog for a couple of years now and have started to look into ways to monetize it.

I've tried few options, such as referral campaigns for specific sites, but but none have been very successful. Also, it doesn't have a high enough Alexa rank to qualify for sites like MellowAds (top 100,000).

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Good Alexa rank means that you have some traffic on your website. There is no ad network which can bring you money without visitors on your site. So I suggest you first to improve your website SEO position and after that, it will be easy for you to implement any ad network.
You are mention MellowAds, I do not recommend to use this service. They relented with the criterion and there is a big chance for you to promote obviously a scam. You may earn something, but in the long run, it's bad for your site.
Maybe you can try with Bitmedia.io, as I know they are not so strict with Alexa rank, but your website can't be fully trash if you want to be approved.
Here is also a few ad networks with Bitcoin payments, but you must check their rules and are you eligible to publish ads for them,
a-ads.com
bee-ads.com
adbit.co
coinadvert.net
coinzilla.com

As suggested above, I'm going to choose Coinzilla if I were in your place.  I have heard a lot of positive feedbacks on this ad network for your crypto site, besides that AFAIK, they had a better CPM.  But then, OP needs to have his own research even though we had already suggested him.  You can find a lot more because there are now several blockchain ad network platforms that could help you to have ads, but choosing is a difficult one because some network didn't filter malicious and spammy ads.

For more information that has review and comparison in all ads network platforms, you can read it here.

In my experience in using these networks as an advertiser, these networks can be categorised into 3 categories - 1. facets, 2. mainstream crypto, 3. irrelevant.

1. Facet networks are mostly for advertisers to fish for the audience that is always out looking for an extra buck.
2. Mainstream crypto networks have good Alexa rank sites on them, but each to their own, they all have some bad seeds in them.
3. Irrelevant networks are ones that gather any crypto sites, just for the sake of monetisation.

In the case of your blog, depending on the content, you may want to avoid categories 1 and 3 - and Stick to mainstream networks like Coinzilla or Bitmedia.

But as @examplens said, the key to becoming a profitable ad publisher is good SEO position, thats because SEO helps google recognise and rank your website through key words and in turn, it will bring relevant search audiences to your site (this is only one aspect of SEO!). In the advertiser perspective, this is their main consideration - the audience segment.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for all the really useful suggestions above. I'm going to work my way through some research and try a couple.

In answer to the question about content - I originally set the blog up to promote faucet referrals, but it's evolved into more than that, with features, news and guides which I'm working on regularly.

Google does not like the site though and I'm finding it virtually impossible to maintain any consistent traffic or rankings.

See the freecoyn link in my footer if you want to take a look. Any suggestions as to how to improve my ranking would be greatly appreciated.

In addition to the above suggestions, you can find a few more names from the following list: Advertising Networks
- It hasn't been updated for the past few months so make sure to read the comments as well [there are a few more in there].

  • If you're using an ad blocker of some sort, you'll see an empty page [you need to disable it first].

Unfortunately I also don't really understand how to increase the ranking of a website so that it can qualify like MellowAds (top 100,000), but is there anyone who wants to provide a way for that? because it concerns your own income as well as money for you.

have you checked this?
https://ethereumads.com/
no registration needed. you just need to put the HTML code in your website

How does it work?
After you inserted our HTML snippet your ad space is automatically openly auctioned off using our smart contract every two weeks to the highest bidder. Our service is suitable for any content, not just crypto-related, e.g. websites, blogs, videos, even billboards. Just let our open bidding market automatically and continually find the perfect ads for you. The earnings go directly into your Ethereum account.

it was on the news a few days ago.

You can try brave browser and adbank campaigns to monetize your crypto site. I do used them to monetize some of my blog site before. I just stop updating my website due to the maintenance cost for hosting is too high compared on the earning I get from traffic. But if your website has good traffic then this will be profitable for you. Goodluck.

Why not give this forum a try, if you have enough money you will get some real traffic by advertising using paied ads.
You can also get free traffic by improving the quality of the content on the site, writing some articles and sharing part of them here, with links to those who want to complete the article or read different articles.

i can also recommended Coinzilla give it a try

One of the best advertising networks on the crypto site is YouTube a huge website with countless users of all ages. If you want to share your videos with the world this is by far the best place to upload videos. Not just video sharing but also the best place to make money from videos. One of the ways to earn money from video is AdSense. Google AdSense is a medium for advertising your videos. Through which you will get a good amount of money from advertisers for advertising.

Probably you did not understand the first post in this thread. OP (thread opener) have his own crypto blog, so they need ad network to put ads on his blog and to try to monetize their pages. I am not sure how is Youtube related to monetizing a blog or maybe you have revolutionary technique how to do it. So, we talking about the blog, not vlog.

Hey,
Do you want monetize this website? freecoyn.com
If yes then don't waste your time. Alexa rank of this website is above 2 million. This mean you can't verify your website on any ad network. But if the ad network will accept your website you will earn less than $0.01 daily.
If you really want earn some bucks daily you must start advertising your website. I have some good idea how can you run a crypto blog profitable.
