Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

On my client (may be a bit older than yours) you just click on the address book, then go to your receiving addresses tab, then highlight the address you want to use, then there is a button called "Copy to Clipboard"

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

ok if anyone follows this thread and like me did not know what to do i found out accidentally;
1) click receive addresses
2) click to highlight receiving address required
3) in mtgox (withdrawal address box) right click and paste.

i was expecting to cut and paste from a clipboard displaying an adress but nothing appears so doing the above got my bitcoins from mtgox to my wallet. regards reg

i do not know how to view clipboard?

Using the clipboard is a very basic and important  tool. Once you click on "Copy to Clipboard" it is already in your Clipboard and ready to Paste.

If I may, I would suggest that you familiarize yourself with : ' highlinght, copy, cut, paste '

Thanks to the last post. I am obviously learning basic stuff but if bitcoin is going to become more widely used there will be many who just do not know these things so its good to have it down so people can read them. regards reg.

Yes 'reg ' ,  it is always good to ask questions.

BTW, ' highlinght, copy, cut, paste '   can be done in 3 ways after highlighting something:
1. from the 'Edit' menu at the upper left
2. from the right click of the mouse
3. from the keyboard : Ctrl+x,  Ctrl+c, Ctrl+v,

It is a good practice to know all 3 - in different situations, the one or the other will be feasible  and save time
