Browser Extension that Gives Bitcoin

Has anyone heard of this web browser extension, they seem to be a legitimate one although they are still not available worldwide (US only). I was watching a Youtuber when the time to talk for the sponsorship came and I was surprised because this is the first time that I have heard of it. It works like Honey Browser Extension although this one does not find coupons to save money, but it instead gives you bitcoin or cash. If you can try it out let me know.

That seems to be the case, I think they also earn money via partner stores. They partner with stores and the extension will only be available in that store which in turn makes a guaranteed profit for both the extension and the store. Now that I think about it, it is pretty scary if they give away our personal details, but I do not think that will be the case for this websites.

I have not heard about it or read anything about it one thing is for sure though they are collecting users browsing data like google just be careful installing extension to your browser since a lot of them are just there to steal something, better look at Brave browser you can also install browser extension on it and you can also earn brave token think about double earning just buy surfing but always run AV before installing anything./

Judging by how it works and the reviews they have so far, they seem not to have any ill intentions at all

On the Firefox extension that I checked out, they have about 2000 users and ~66 reviews. 6 of them are 1 star but talk nothing about scam or not being paid.
One of the reviews made 7 months ago seems to explain how it works;

Lolli is essentially an affiliate marketer for most of the "major" companies that offer affiliate commissions through the standard affiliate marketing networks (like CJ Affiliate, ClickBank, etc.). Once you make a purchase, they then cut you a small slice of the affiliate commission they receive from the respective merchant paid to you in the form of BTC.

Also, there are a couple of previous bitcointalk threads that talks about this browser extension and it seem like they are paying their customers back if they do some shopping online although it had a weird name LOL! Suitable for people who loves shopping online.

But then again, we’re not forcing anyone to not use their service because I completely understand if someone wants to. It’s merely just a heads up for people to know what they’re exchanging for the free sats.

If you are not in the United States and are not ready for the ID verification process, then perhaps it is best to avoid using this adds on. Also, if you care about privacy, you should stop using it, because what you are searching for may be tracked.

The idea of them of stacking sats is convincing but just another term for rebates though and it will end when you start reading complains and kyc bs regarding the platform.

To be fair I haven't heard about this one, seems it offers the service similar to Rakuten but pays in bitcoin. It's affiliate marketing, they bring customers to certain companies and in exchange of this, they give some percentage to these companies. First of all what I would say is that it seem great bitcoin supported analogue of Rakuten and that's welcome for me. On another hand, you are right, these companies earn money from us + use us for their statistics to further develop the marketing of their products and that's bad. I think it's disrespectful but they pack it like they take care of us.

At the end of the day I highly doubt that it's going to give you insane cashbacks. And with the current high BTC price + withdrawal fees it is very unlikely that you'll be able to retain a large portion of your earnings anyhow. Both things to consider.

So you would probably find that you get a lot more back with fiat extensions that have no withdrawal fees, if you are truly into this stuff. And I think before that you need to ask yourself whether the rewards justify the info you're giving to some random third party.

I can't say I've heard of any browser plugins like the one you've described, however there's a Twitter plug in that enables you to tip the author satoshis for their tweets.i

Think it's based on the lightning network, but I haven't tried it out myself.

I do think so too, if we had been making purchases online, doesn't it hurt that we use this extension since our data as a customer is already stored and it is already available for companies. From my research about this extension, they only track your online purchases. It won't give you that amount but at the very least, you can get something out of it right, especially if you are a frequent online shopper, might as well get that opportunity. I haven't heard of any fiat based extensions but there is another one called Honey that scours the Internet for coupons to select shops. In the end it is a matter of choice whether you want to do it or not.

As I have said in the OP, it is only available for US only, my country is a Pacific Ocean away so even if I try, no dice. It is understandable that you would not trust any extensions anymore but have you look into how did you get that malware? I find it odd that an extension can cause a search engine malware, and can you describe what happened. If you do not want to share that is okay, I am just curious because this is my first time hearing that kind of thing happening.

I do not think that there is a need for KYC, there is no affiliate links, you just need to download the browser extension and buy item from the stores that they are partnered. You can try using VPN but you also need to configure your geolocation.

You can try to use VPN to install the extension and try by yourself. When I install the extension before, I do not know if that extension contains something that I am not aware of that. But suddenly, when I want to use Google to search something, the default search engine was changed to SearchSafe (if I am not mistaken). I also try to install Google Authenticator on my browser, but I heard that in that time, there is a malware that malicious attack on the user, so I uninstall and moves my GA to other devices.

But related to the extension, maybe you can get a reward after you shop. But I feel that is not right for me to buy something online.
