After more than half a decade, the two will meet again. Since they first met on September 27, 2014, both have made a good deal of winning achievements, suffering only a couple of losses, each in the hands of Nurmagomedov.

While their first match was a McGregor show, the second might be a different one. This is gonna be Conor's first UFC match after a year while Poirier just had a UD win over Hooker in June of 2020.

After everything that happened with McGregor’s career it seems that he wants to reclaim back his outlook towards him considering the previous matches that he had. With this match I think Poirier Would be a great risk great return reward In terms of betting with him.

I’m just not sure how McGregor would handle this fight knowing that he hasn’t been able to fight recently. So I’m probably going for the high risk high return. Poirier.

Dustin's last fight was a unanimous decision win on June 27,2020.
I don't think the six months difference would be that big of a factor.
What's interesting to see is that these two both lost to the same man [Khabib] prior to their last fights.

McGregor is the big favorite according to the odds. After losing to Khabib he's taken a long time off from MMA and has only had one fight against a relatively easy opponent. Poirier will be his first significant challenge in a few years. If he wins this fight it will show that he is still one of the top lightweights and would get a chance to become champion once Khabib officially vacates the title.

I think McGregor can still pull the trigger here, but I'm happy seeing Poirier getting a shot at Conor because if I'm not mistaken, he is eager to find him again after suffering a lost way back, so now is the chance for Dustin and break McGregor.

However, I still do believed that McGregor's left is going to make the difference in this fight. If he can land it against Dustin then it will be over.

I do agree with that. It's better to check their current abilities with the same fighter that had them beat. It's sad that they are not going to be able to fight him anymore. Let's just see how their fight is going to be.

It would be a great fight between two great fighters, both have lost with the same person(Khabib), I wonder if there would be another fight for that person who will even win this fight. Even though it's been a long time since the last fight with McGregor I don't think that it would be a disadvantage for him, I know that he is still doing practice within those time frames he doesn't have any fights.

Khabib is really the best between these two and we can't deny that he dominated the both of them.

But going back to the real deal, McGregor will probably still got this one.

Although I think that he will have a hard time to fight Poirier but I still believe that McGregor will beat his ass up.

Yes, if you have extra money to spare and you are willing to lose it, I think it's going to be okay to bet on the underdog. Besides, who is more willing to win this match and make a name for himself? I think it's Poirier. McGregor is more famous compared to him and if there are headlines that say he is beaten by Poirier, it would be music to his ears.

I have high respect for Dustin Poirier but I think this fight is for Conor. Poirier is a stand up fighter which is also the same fighting preference of Conor. The big difference however is that Conor has the more powerful punch. Poirier is talented even in boxing but that will be a different story if Conor's left will connect clean and smooth to his face. If Poirier will absorb it a number of times and could also counter with strong punches, he may survive. But that's a big if.

I think that Conor McGregor will show himself very well in a fight with Dustin Porter as he did six years ago. His Irish zeal to win and his fighting skills can crush almost any opponent. I've seen photos of McGregor in several interviews and to be honest he's in very good shape. I'm looking forward to this fight.

I think McGregor will win although I think it will not be that easy.As always in such kind of events the form of a fighter is key and if any of the fighters is in a bad day the other can win easily.That is why I think that odds are not to be trusted that much in these kind of events.

Conor had finished Poirier in less than 2 minutes. Now Poirier gained some experience (hope so), while Conor I think had lost his “magic” partly. I think and hope this is going to be a close fight that will last 2+ rounds.
I do not follow Dusting social accounts and dont know his condition. Conor - he just trains daily and spends time with his family; he hadnt started real camp yet. I think Conor is more favorite here, just due to his charisma.

Obviously, the fight with Manny has been scratched, so McGregor fight the next big fighter in the list - Poirier. Less money for him, but as the saying goes, someone needs money in order to survived that lifestyle so there goes McGregor.

And it will be the same Conor, big mouth and trash talking Poirier in every way he can. I think he can back it up because he knows he has beaten him in the past. I do hope that Poirier will come up with different strategy, like extending the fight to the distance so that he will have a good chance to pull an upset as Conor is known to have less gas tank and tire in the later rounds. So endurance is the key for Poirier here plus all the tools.

The first match between McGregor and Poirier started the rise of McGregor where he was sparring with his mouth well before the match and the mystic mac persona started after this fight if i remember correctly. Porier was a young fighter coming into the fight and Conor stopped him in the first round as he predicted but the second fight is an entirely different fight and i am expecting a tough battle and i am picking Poirier in this fight consider McGregor was mostly inactive and his terrible gas tank.

I really want to see Mcgregor pick up where he left off against Cowboy. I expect Mcgregor to win this but it’s going to be a much tougher test than his last fight was. I just think it’s all set up for Conor to win this, maybe have one more fight against Ferguson or something & then Dana will tempt Khabib out of retirement with a massive deal to face Conor one more time.

But yes, really looking forward to this fight.
